Mel has caught Clint with the two vials. She demands an explanation and asks after Theresa. Clint sneers she is sleeping and tells a tall tale about his house calls, the vet lab needing the blood ... Dan sits with Nicole at the club and sighs that new guy has nothing to do with where him and Nicole are not headed. The medicine man still feels she has not let go of her feelings for Eric. AS it turns out, Eric has entered the club so Dan decides to go. Nicole is unable to stop him and turns to Eric to tell Dan they are only kinda friends first. Eric would but suggests it would not help, since she would need to show Dan. He praises Serena as someone who is more sincere. Fed up Nicole snaps she is not so innocent and decides to tell him why ... Abigail is elated when Paige comes to Horton house to see JJ. She teases JJ and gets going to work. JJ sits with his girl and she smiles she spoke with Cole, to tell him they are trying again and also spoke with Eve. JJ has a feeling of dread ... Jen sees Eve sitting at the park moving her head to the music and snatches the earplug from her ear. Eve is startled. Jen could not care less and proceeds to lay down the law about their deal. She had better not bother Paige and JJ now that they are back together and must stay far from her son. Eve knows she is cornered but counters her daughter could still decide against getting caught back in that bad romance. Again Jen could not care less ... At the house of Kiriakis Brady the bewildered billionaire heir wonders where or where Mel went. Maggie assumed she was still upstairs ... Clint talks tough with Mel and threatens to lose his temper if she does not leave. She tries to grab his bag but he grabs it back. Theresa staggers out of the bedroom in her sexy outfit, slurring. Clint acts like they partied hard last night ... In her hotel room Serena has a faceoff with Xander, the brains behind the smuggling scheme who also happens to be her former flame. Serena seems to have liked her men dangerous. He gets seductively close and places his strong hands on her shoulders, leering she had better not be playing him withholding his diamonds ... Brady realizes Mel ran off with her car and he thinks he knows where. He leaves her a message and then tries to reach Theresa. No luck ... Staggering Theresa is startled to see Mel and is feeling like hell. Mel lets her know she read that message she sent to Brady. Theresa is too out of it to tell her off and talks gibberish. Clint shoves Mel out the door and shuts it. He then turns back to Theresa and takes her back to the bedroom. Then he picks up his bag and departs. For the last time ... JJ waits for the bad news about Eve's reaction but so far she seems to have kept her silence about their sordid affair. His dream girl declares the worst is over and they share a romantic kiss ... Serena insists she was in from the start! He wonders whether she just wants to keep his smuggled African diamonds for her greedy little self despite their deal. Serena's excuse is that HE did not get in touch soon enough after the smuggling success so she put the elephant statue in storage. Xander was worried about Interpol being hot on their heels. She explains she only recently retrieved the elephant statue from storage, only to realize she had the wrong one. He alludes to the danger not being over for her yet and gets sarcastic about her sucker target Eric, who she claimed had the right statue. Serena snaps to stop. Xander thunders to shut up. Ooooooo The hot thug has a temper ... Paige and JJ will get together to continue their reconciliation talks after she has finished babysitting. She giggles and agrees when JJ grins it is all good ... Brady is bewitched but now also bothered and bewildered by missing Mel. Maggie has something on her mind ... Nicole lets Eric know that Serena played him for a fool for she lied! She did have two elephant statues at Dan's place. Exasperated Eric raises his eyes to the heavens. He believes she is mistaken about the elephants and Saint Serena ... Xander came to deliver his message in person. He wants his diamonds and he wants them now ... Mel sneaks back into Theresa's apartment and reads Clint'ts goodbye note ... At Jen's office Abigail is all smiles at the prospect of a Paige and JJ reunion and agrees when Jen asks her not to question her brother too much. She senses a secret ... Maggie and Brady mull over the trials and tribulations of going from friends to lovers. He vows never to harm Mel, Maggie knows and that is not what has her worried ... Pretty Paige arrives at Dan's place to babysit Parker as promised. He is pleased to see her and lets her know he is getting her in to see an actual endoscopy at the hospital. She thanks him profusely and also apologizes for the wrong impression she once had. Dan does not understand. Paige, it seems, is all about honesty these days ... She admits she assumed he had a one night stand with Eve the day she learned she had lost her singing voice forever. Dan still does not understand. Paige tells him the story of the jacket that was just like his hanging on a kitchen chair, Eve admitting it belonged to the man she had spent the night with. But her mom set her straight it did not belong to Dan. He laughs he has never even been to their home. Paige laughs too and excuses herself to say hello to Parker. Dan is amused until he starts to remember JJ borrowing his jacket and all the strange vibes, strange conversations that have followed. Then he stops and stares in horror, having realized JJ must have slept with his girlfriend's mother. THAT was the secret. He has to be sure, he has to check ... JJ is at the student lounge. He texts Jen about forgetting his notes in the car and then looks up, only to see Eve. He would rather not get into it now. She hisses at him for thinking he could dupe her daughter all over again ... Serena states her terms. The diamonds after she gets her her $200,000 and an assurance Eric will not be harmed. Besides the rocks are not here ... Maggie is worried about the attacks, first on Sonny and then Brady. Brady admits there is something about his attack that smacks of Kristen. However, she is far away. Maggie softly states one hopes ... Theresa is in her bed fast asleep. Mel takes her water, then finds the prick on her arm. Part 1 of the mystery has now been solved! Clint stole the blood from both Theresa and Brady but why??? ... Just as Jen enters, JJ cuts off angry Eve asking what she wants from him ... Nicole knows she promised not to but proceeds to do a search of Serena Mason on her resourceful computer. Seek and ye shall find ... Xander orders Serena to escort him to his damn diamonds and opens the door. He fails to see Eric standing there. But Eric sees the sinister man in black. He also hears him when leers he is not kidding and orders Serena to start moving ... Oooooooo! THE END Ahead on Days: Will leans on T. Paul DOES seek out Sonny. Dan's jacket makes JJ jumpy. Eve+Cole=Double Trouble for Devereaux! |
