Sonny demands an explanation. Will promises his papers and pictures of Paul were research cos he wanted the whole story of who he was up against. Sonny seems to think that is a stretch. Will wants him to tell him he means more to him that the first one he proposed to. Sonny seems to soften. Will innocently waits for his answer ... Mel is at the nightclub with plans to meet Serena. After leaving Brady a lovey dovey voice mail, she spies Eric and assures him she intends to tell Serena to stay in Salem. Eric is grateful and has high praise for the sincerity that is his Serena ... Serena is stunned to find her hotel room trashed, her broken elephant on the floor. A phone call from Navidad comes in and she considers whether or not she should dare answer ... Dan has got it bad for Nicole but thinks this is still wrong. He gets close, turns away, and so it goes ... Cheerful Jen chats with Parker and Maggie at the square. Eve crashes the little party by sweetly stating Parker looks happy, just like her Paige is right now with Cole, the new boy who is worthy of her heart. Maggie ushers Parker away fast ... At the park, Paige pouts she longs to forgive JJ. However, she would like him to come clean about any remaining secrets. The time has come to tell the whole truth. JJ stammers there is nothing more and agrees to the terms. Honesty all the way ... Jen and Eve fight about their kids. Jen believes they belong together Eve exclaims her son was not unwilling with her. He is the wrong boy and will never be the right boy again cos Paige is done with him forever ... Dan explains Maggie is bringing over Parker. It is not the right time for so many reasons. Nicole assures him Eric is not an issue. Dan dramatically declares one day he would like to see the real Nicole. He walks into the other room. Nicole remembers Eric hugging her and walking away as well and breaks down. Dan soon emerges in his scrubs. He has agreed to cover a shift for a colleague ... Serena accepts the call from Navidad, who issues her a dire warning. HE will not wait another minute. She is out of time ... Serena feels the net closing in ... When Eric calls, she tries to sound as calm and collected as possible. She confirms to clueless hopeful heart Eric that she is meeting Mel shortly ...Meanwhile Dan decides to ask Mel to babysit Parker. He suggests he and Nicole see each other for coffee tomorrow. Nicole scoffs. Maggie arrives at her son's apartment with Parker. Nicole must take her lonely leave. Parker giggles in his usual manner ... JJ promises Paige he will be the best boyfriend if only she gives him another chance. He reasons he wrote that song for her and she stayed to hear him play. That must mean something. Paige melts and grabs him in a kiss. Then they share a passionate one ... Sonny and Will's almost moment is interrupted by the arrival of Lucas and Arianna. Sonny is thrilled to see his sweetheart as she is thrilled to see him. He takes her in his arms and promises to be back after putting her to bed. A frown creases Lucas' brow and he gives Will a stern look. How did it work out? ... Mel gets to the apartment to babysit Parker. Serena arrives and slyly sets her sights on the elephant Parker is playing with ... Paige informs JJ she has to tell Cole why she cannot continue their date. They make a pledge to be honest always and agree to see each other soon. JJ just hopes she will not listen to anyone who speaks ill of him. She promises she won't and they exchange heartfelt I love yous like Romeo and Juliet... Nicole is drowning her sorrows at the nightclub with a martini. After a rude remark to Eric, who wanted to join her, she apologizes and insists he sit down. Elegant Eric smiles as she sighs she is sorry for everything including her recent run-in with Serena. The smile fades from his face fast when she tells him the story of Serena dropping Parker's elephant ... On his way to work, Dan makes a stop at Horton house. Jen insists she has nothing to share. She also appreciates his closeness to her kids but the time has come not to involve himself. Dan appears hurt and starts to leave, only to bump into JJ as he enters the door,over the moon. Dan wonders why he is suddenly so upbeat ... Eve is home alone, obsessing over her affair with JJ ... Serena is ready to move on the elephant statue when Mel takes Parker off to bed. She has it in her grasp but then Maggie knocks at the door,having left her wallet behind. Mel comes out and invites her to stay. Serena forces a smile. They sit and Mel updates her friend on Brady's attack. Serena is very sorry. Maggie is as well and must excuse herself when she gets a sponsor summons. Serena asks Mel to tell her all about what happened to Brady ... Mel would rather discuss her friend. Serena nervously glances at the elephant that is so close and yet so far from reach ... Sonny puts his little princess in her crib but she reaches out to him crying. He holds her in his arms and strokes her to sleep. A precious priceless moment ... Will would rather discuss the Paul proof he has with his father. Tori did not deny it when Will called Paul's real father a DiMera ... Lucas sternly suggests that is one scoop he needs to drop. Will thinks exposing Paul as a DiMera could be the crowning glory of his career. Lucas cannot believe he would even consider putting his career before his relationship with Sonny ... Paige heads to her mother's home. Eve hugs her when she announces she has decided to forgive her. Eve credits Cole's influence. Paige now drops a bombshell ...Eric is exasperated about Serena, how she wanted him to get the statue back from Parker when it was a present! Nicole does not understand. Eric continues. He and Serena got the two elephants together in Africa. Nicole now understands only too well. There were two elephants, just as she saw ... Mel sweetly suggests Serena stay in Salem for Eric. Serena sweetly states she too wants everything to work out as planned ... Serena finally gets her lucky break when Mel is called downstairs to pick up a delivery ... JJ grins he is glad Dan is a friend but came home to tell his mom something ... Dan gets it and goes. Outside the door, he decides perhaps he would do best to stay out of certain things ... Inside JJ announces things went well for him and Paige. Mother and son share a happy hug ... Eve grimaces when Paige proudly tells her she and JJ are trying again with truth at every turn ... Arianna is fast asleep. Sonny steps out and Lucas excuses himself to give the pair their privacy. Once they are alone, Sonny informs Will he has already seen Paul. He is telling him this so there will be no secrets between them. Will starts to panic ... Serena removes the secret compartment on the bottom of the elephant statue and removes what she is supposed to deliver. A small bag of priceless smuggled diamonds ... THE END! |
