Eve reminds Brady she fired him so it is her contest and company. Brady calls Bella his baby. Eve disagrees ... At DiMera mansion Stefan informs Chad that he needs PR Abigail to accompany him to Hong Kong for a deal. Chad fumes he had Andre’s phone and he is convinced he killed him. Fake Gabi says nothing, still pretending to be ethereal Abigail ... Dr. Kayla ends a call about tests as Marlena enters. The blonde in the pink jacket asks if it is about Steve. Kayla snaps there is nothing more she can do to save Steve's sight. She blames John ... Steve falters outside the pub and bumps into Kate, who calls him blind. He admits he soon will be ... Chad thinks Stefan is trying to flee. Stefan smoothly states the cops have nothing on him. He talks Gabi footage, not to mention her being caught trying to destroy evidence. Chad snaps he set her up. They now bicker about Abigail going to Hong Kong. Stefan will only say either she goes or they are both out. He walks out so they can discuss. Chad is stunned when Abigail agrees with Stefan. He knows not that fake Gabi is running her mind at the moment. She reasons she does not want to be fired. Chad pauses to take a call from Lani so Abigail leaves to check on Thomas. So she says. In the foyer Stefan finds out she is still fake Gabi and leads her up to his room to discuss Hong Kong ... Kate is ever so sorry for Steve and asks how it happened. John appears and sighs he is to blame for his buddy's problem ... Marlena repeats to Kayla that John was unaware of the aftereffect of the poison. Kayla hisses her husband could have been killed ... Brady begs Eve to discuss biz. He reminds her they are losing big time to Gabi Chic and Bella could save the day! Eve gets sarcastic and states she will find another magazine. He tells her their contest is already trending and her budget is already stretched to the max. He points out from a professional standpoint he is her last hope ... Brady and Eve both look at Claire’s photos. Brady gushes they can get her to compose a song for their campaign. Eve laments he claims to love her and he lied and lied! He swears his feelings for her are true. In that case he should respect her wishes and let her run the contest by herself. She yearns to prove herself to the town ... Marlena insists John is a good man and considers Kayla and Steve family. The ISA head wanted Steve dead. Kayla refuses to listen. Marlena argues she and John are on the same side. Kayla wishes he had found another way to stop crazy Pamela cos he ruined their lives ... John sits at a pub table with Steve as they drink beer. Steve is sorry about Kayla and assures him he harbors no anger. He likens the situation to when he lost his other eye to Bo but forgave him. John is overwhelmed. Steve sighs he needs all his friends if he goes blind ... Chad ends his call with Lani and complains to Kate how Stefan lied about the phone being in the kitchen. They are having the phone checked. Kate warns Chad they will probably not find anything. He complains now Stefan wants Abigail to head to Hong Kong with him. Kate had no idea ... Fake Gabi is back in Stefan’s room with her dark wig. He grins he wants them to go on the trip together. She would love to be far from Salem so she could be herself. He tells her to trust in him and tell Chad she wants to come. But fake Gabi knows he has his own agenda and asks what exactly it is ... Meanwhile in the living room Chad fumes he will not let Abigail accompany Stefan anywhere! Kate feels he has nothing to fear for Stefan has no chance with Abigail. But Chad has a bad feeling ... Stefan admits he would love to be alone with fake Gabi. She warns him Dr. Laura will not let her leave ... Steve makes light of his plight. John wonders how he does it. He has a good woman who loves him like crazy. John raises his glass and drawls that’s a fact. Steve refuses to succumb to self-pity. John gets it for he has been there. Steve calls him one of the good guys. John is touched to have his forgiveness and is here for his friend. Steve now solemnly states he is preparing to deal with the inevitable and cracks more jokes. John suggests they play a friendly game of darts ... Kayla cries to Marlena that John should have told her what he was up to. Marlena is sorry. Kayla laments the love of her life will soon not be able to see the love in her eyes ... Brady sits with Eve at the park. He plans to prove his feelings are real. She reminds him of his insincere wedding vows but he insists they were true. He wanted to wed her for real and reasons this contest is his last chance to prove himself to her. So he will not back down. Eve hisses she hates this. He notes she needs him and adds he will make the whole town see how smart and savvy she is. That will prove he deserves a second chance. He senses her feelings for him and she wishes he would withdraw. She wonders why the charade. Brady assures her this is no charade. He was about to give up on their love until Maggie the romantic redhead urged him to fight ... Fake Gabi warns Stefan that Laura is super protective of Abigail. Stefan knows as he has spoken with her. However, he can arrange for her to get to Hong Kong and make sure Chad agrees. She smiles. Downstairs Chad rages about Abigail going anywhere with sinister Stefan. Kate assures him she could handle herself with Ben so she surely can handle a Stefan. Abigail appears and thanks Kate for having faith in her. She tells Chad she too dislikes Stefan which is one of the reasons she must go. Kate is listening ... Back at the pub Steve decides to play darts with a blindfold. He warns John not to let him win. John hands him the darts and chuckles. Blindfolded Steve faces the board ... Marlena hears from Kayla that everyone told her the damage is irreversible. Marlena marvels how much she and Steve love one another. That kind of love is worthy of a miracle or two ... Brady lets Eve know how he loves her. She hisses so he can suffer! She will never trust him again! Besotted Brady will not accept that and stops her ... Chad reminds Abigail that Gabi needs them at her trial tomorrow. She reasons she can get proof against Stefan and his mystery woman by being near him. Kate thinks that sounds smart. Chad admires his wife’s courage but worries. She gushes Stefan lets his guard down as he likes her. She wants to do this for Gabi, Andre, for all of them. Chad asks Kate for her opinion. She feels Abigail could be their only hope to find out if he did kill Andre, as his guard is always up with her and Chad ... Eve tells Brady not to beg and adds if they work together it must be totally professional. Brady is thrilled. She warns they will not be a couple again so stick to the contest. Brady is grateful. She tells him her assistant will be in touch when she has arranged their first appointment and waltzes off. Brady gushes it is a beginning ... Marlena assures Kayla that she and Steve shall have the support of so many, including her ... Steve is playing to win so John can pay the tab. He feels like a ninja when he throws. And then he hits the bullseye! John concedes defeat and they drink to Steve, the better man. Steve suddenly feels like a man on a winning streak ... Fake Gabi returns to Stefan and gushes they have them all fooled. She goes to Hong Kong! Downstairs Chad stands by Stefano’s chess set and informs surprised Kate that he too will be heading to Hong Kong. The game is officially on ... STAY TUNED! |
