He assures her JJ would not be the only suspect and asks her to hug Arianna. Then the call is over and he takes a drink. He remembers his sweet delirious moment with Abigail ... Steve invites hardworking Joe to sit with him and Tripp at the almost closed pub. Tripp offers to help his bro carry cakes. And they also have a video game rematch! Steve opts out when invited cos Patch only does Pacman. He now gets a text about Hope being hospitalized ... Hope is convulsing in a bed as Rafe gasps to Kayla about what happened. Tis a reaction to the halo. Rafe fears the worst ... Lani is back at the station with Eli. She paces about JJ being brought in and blames herself. Abigail arrives wanting to see JJ, who is being questioned by Raines ... JJ claims he needs no attorney and assures Raines he would not hide anything. If only he could remember! Raines is waiting for the blood test results regarding that stain on his shirt. JJ feels frustrated ... Kayla tells Rafe the halo will work its way out of Hope's system. Hope falls into a more tranquil slumber. Rafe updates Kayla on Deimos wanting Sonny's amulet and then being murdered. Lani had seen JJ fighting with him and is at the station. Kayla gasps in horror and then returns to calming Hope, who writhes again. Rafe runs into Steve and Tripp at the nurse's station. Tripp will wait as Rafe goes off with Steve to explain what happened. Tripp takes a look at Hope's bad state and sees a sinister opportunity ... Steve returns and Kayla explains Hope is sedated and stabilized. Tripp wants to know with what and what dosage. Rafe takes it all in as Kayla adds this is a different halo with a less violent aftereffect. She will make it. Kayla gets back to her other patients and Steve reassures worried Rafe ... Abigail screams at Lani for implicating her brother. Lani explains her obligation to tell the truth. Abigail stands by sorry Eli and apologizes. They look through the window ... Raines wants JJ to begin. Easier said than done. He has no memory of being with Deimos. Raines gets an idea ... Chad finishes his ale at the square and admires a family photo on his phone. Good times with Thomas and Abigail. He calls Abigail, who answers at the station, still clutching her glam gold purse. He asks about JJ. There is nothing new to report. Chad asks for a meeting. She muses it is late. He would like to talk ... about last night. She will text him soon. She touches her light hair and lets out a sigh ... Rafe asks to see Hope again. Kayla agrees. She plans to stay a while longer on account of Hope. Steve invites her for a coffee. She hands the nurse her ipad. Tripp tells Steve he will head back to the pub to help Joey carry cakes. Once alone, he gets his hands on Kayla's ipad and increases the amount of dosage she ordered for Hope. He puts it back on the counter and vows to be back in time for the fireworks ... Hope is sleeping. Rafe sits and brings up their beautiful future, their bucket list. He knows he asked her to be his wife and lets her know he was lucid! He wants to spend the rest of his life with her and kisses her forehead ... At the station Lani and Abigail are with JJ, who urges Lani to try and remember more. She only remembers them struggling but did not see him kill Deimos. They await Raines, who has summoned Marlena. The blonde mind healer now solemnly steps in ... Tripp is at the pub with glass polishing Joey. Tripp praises Kayla for helping Hope and liking her hospital job. He has witnessed how much she loves being a doctor and lies it inspires him. Joey tells him how much his mom helped him in little league as a lad. She even coached! She always helps others and is amazing. Tripp soap stares ... Lani feels badly and admits to Eli she is bothered by that kiss they had. He blames the halo. Lani excuses herself for a glass of water and he watches her walk away... Marlena counts backwards for JJ, whom she needs to hypnotize. Eerie music plays. She takes him back in time to his last moments in Marton house living room. He remembers dancing with Gabi. And Deimos? Mediterranean music plays as he remembers angrily telling Gabi he could kill Deimos. Then he went to seek him and he found him! They struggled and he admits he attacked the fiend. Marlena fishes for more ... Steve has massaged Kayla's tired shoulders in her office. He is ready for the feet but the good doctor has a patient waiting. Steve loves the framed picture of her and Tripp together at the hospital. He is mighty proud of his boy. Kayla believes he would be a good doctor. He calls her his inspiration and they kiss ... Tripp tells Joey he is lucky to have such a relationship with his mom. Joey is sorry he was insensitive. Tripp assures him that is not the case. However he lost not only his real mom but also his adoptive mom. Tripp now gets a text that makes him take off like a man on a mission ... Hope moves her head and Rafe goes looking for the doctor. He asks the nurse at the station for a sedative. The nurse goes in with the ipad of Kayla's notes, unaware that Tripp altered the good doctor's dosage ... Chad and Abigail meet at the square. He wants to discuss their halo induced vows renewals and announces they kissed. She remembers. He shyly asks what else she remembers ... Tripp bursts in and loudly stops the nurse from injecting the sedative into Hope's IV. He explains Kayla said he could be there and notes the dosage in the ipad looks too high. Kayla arrives with Steve and states she did not prescribe this lethal dosage. Or did she?! The sanctimonious nurse notes it is fortunate her stepson noticed. Steve takes it all in ... Abigail assures Chad they woke up fully clothed. They discuss JJ being detained. Chad starts to say that what happened between them ... she finishes it did not mean anything. They note they are now with others and she starts to walk away but first she says she will always care for him. After all he is Thomas' daddy. Chad smiles and gets tongue tied. Another goodnight and she is gone. Chad sighs ... JJ admits to Marlena he remembers he went after Deimos and they struggled. She says to concentrate so he gasps like he is in a fight. He appears tense so she tells him to come back. Enter Raines. Marlena notes JJ does not remember killing Deimos but he did attack him. She tells JJ she is here for him anytime. Raines walks her out. JJ frowns. Lani slips in and asks for an update. He sarcastically states since he attacked Deimos maybe he killed him too ... Rafe returns to sleeping beauty Hope. He called her kids, who send their love. She opens her eyes and speaks his name. Then she wonders what happened. All in good time. He wants to get Kayla. Hope asks about Deimos. Rafe drawls he is gone, he will no longer pose a problem. She tries to get up to go to the station and he stops her, teasing she has him all to herself. She pulls him by the tie into her bed cos she wants to cuddle. They both feel lucky ... Kayla complains to Steve about her big mistake. Steve tells her nothing bad happened and she thanks Tripp for intervening. Steve assumed he was going to the pub to help Joe. He did and fibs he forgot his phone so he doubled back. He excuses himself and Kayla continues to believe she made a big mistake. Steve hugs her ... Back at the station Abigail joins JJ asking how it went with Marlena. Lani is also present. Raines enters with the results of the DNA test. The blood on his shirt was a match with Deimos' DNA. JJ realizes he is really sunk ... END! |
