He teases they seem to be stuck with one another ... - Chanel has her application ready to start a small business at the square. Lani notes she is not on good terms with her mother. Smart Chanel would keep her start-up costs minimal so no big loan needed. Tis a bakery called Sweet Bits. Lani likes the sound of it ... Chloe complains about the lack of food so Jan shoves her a snack to shut up. She suddenly decides who will come to her rescue ... Phil ends his conversation with busy Detective Eli and gets an unexpected call from Jan. He asks about Chloe and Claire. She has only so much time left on her burner phone and offers to let him rescue Chloe ... Ben unties Claire, who asks about his divorce papers. He gasps he did not sign and asks about Jan. Claire cries she is no better than her and weeps about what she did to Ciara. Ben gives her the fallen locket back and holds her hand. Enter worried Shawn. Claire gushes she is fine thanks to Ben. Shawn smells the telltale gasoline and gives his daughter an emotional hug. Ben confirms he got to Claire before Jan's fire. Shawn realizes Jan wanted him to find his daughter dead. He wants to take her to the station stat. Ben would like to stay a little longer. Shawn cannot agree cos tis a crime scene, but Claire argues he did save her. Shawn agrees and they walk out together. Ben is now alone at the cabin and raises his eyes to the heavens ... Jan refuses to go to the slammer for accidentally abducting Chloe Lane. Phil wonders what she wants. A suitcase of cash, a pilot with the Kiraikis jet and gummy bears. He wants to hear Chloe, but Jan says no way. She warns no funny stuff ... Lani concludes Paulina will be pleased with her daughter’s grown-up plan. Chanel admits she is a little afraid but would love to be independent. She is not as perfect as Paulina but is going to apply to Abe. Lani makes her take those delicious cookies cos they will help. She is still concerned about missing Chloe ... Eli updates Phil on Shawn going to get Claire. Phil thanks him for sharing and elusively exits ... - Chanel greets Paulina and Abe at the square. Paulina pouts. Chanel notes she did not call. Paulina counters neither did she and gets catty. Abe sighs. When mother wonders whether she has made any money lately, Chanel apologizes for the past. Paulina has her doubts. Abe decides to depart but Paulina wants to apologize back for being hard on her daughter. Abe suggests the ladies have a coffee and adds he and Paulina can talk square biz later. Much to Paulina’s astonishment Chanel gushes about discussing the square with Abe as well ... Phil joins Jan and Chloe with a case of cash. He asks Chloe if she is okay as Jan continues to aim her gun at the silent songbird. Jan fumes she is fine. Phil promises the Titan jet will take her anywhere. She wants the suitcase first, but Phil is no fool. He leers first she must release Chloe ... While Paulina watches, Chanel presents Abe with her application and biz proposal. She also includes bids from Chicago restaurants. Abe is impressed. She concludes with the cookies. Abe crunches in delight. Paulina stares. Chanel points out she is attempting to be independent ... Ben looks around the cabin and leans against the big bed. Then he takes out Ciara’s divorce papers, but cannot bring himself to sign ... Claire has a happy reunion with relieved mama Belle. Shawn gazes at mother and daughter ... Jan hisses Chloe has to come with her. Phil snaps that is not the deal. She orders him to hand Chloe the cash or she dies. Chloe buys herself a few seconds by stammering he should do it, elbows her enemy hard, and fights her for the gun. Phil watches with bated breath as Chloe concludes the struggle with a BANG!
