Tripp tails Kayla at the hospital, interested in the medicines she uses, some of which she warns could be toxic if overused. She cries about a patient who passed ... At the pub Steve announces he has news for Justin and Adrienne after he gets an update on the so far unsuccessful search. He has asked some ISA contacts to help. Adrienne is determined to bring Sonny home and Justin holds her hand in support ... On the island, Sonny attends to gasping Paul, who is having more symptoms. At another spot the sun shines on Gabi and Chad as they wake up to a new day, believing they were meant to be together away from the real world. They kiss as JJ and Lani come around the corner. JJ is not pleased to find the pair together and Lani notices. They get dressed and Lani notes they all need to get real and make a long term survival plan. Chad is all for it. JJ heads back to camp in a huff. Chad and Gabi hug ... Eli unhappily watches as perspiring Paul warns Sonny he will pose a feverish danger. He implores him to do the right thing if he tries to hurt anyone. Sonny strokes his head and vows to get him home. Eli looks like he fears the same scenario as Paul ... Steve sips his coffee as Justin calls to check with the pilot. Adrienne asks about New York. Steve informs her her enemy is Angelica Deveraux, suddenly after dated revenge ... Kayla is heartbroken she lost a sweet elderly man but adds one has to have a thick skin. She asks the nurse to check they followed the right protocol. Tripp takes in all her responsibility, his eyes narrowing with evil intent ... Love struck Gabi limps back with Chad, who is still teasing her about being afraid at night. He eats fruit ... just like Adam and Eve ... Lani looks at Paul and Sonny states he is trying to keep him hydrated. She can see JJ is unhappy about Gabi and Chad. And then there is Paul's disease, the fact that they could all end up dead. JJ glances at delirious Paul as Sonny dabs his forehead ... Kayla checks in on a patient and introduces Tripp as her stepson. The patient was working two jobs to help her son. Kayla urges her to take care of herself to be there for her son ... Adrienne is annoyed that Angelica is after her. The only thing that would still irk her would be that Justin and Adrienne's son - Alex - turned his back on her. Steve tells her his plan to dig up dirt on the vengeful diva. Adrienne gets emotional about Sonny her sweet boy. Until he is found she cares about nothing else ... Chad impresses Gabi with all the nuts he can crack as they enjoy their island picnic. They feel like a team .. Paul trembles and quietly tells Eli the jungle fever is returning. He begs him to kill him before it is too late. Eli agrees but only if necessary. He promises P.I. Paul he would make it fast and praises him for the sacrifice. He places a blanket over him as he shivers and shuts his eyes ... Tripp says nice things about the lady he just met with Kayla. Kayla gushes it is good to have him here and Steve is elated. Tripp plays along and gushes about his mentor. He is done now that he was watching for four hours. Kayla is pleased he cares enough about medicine to learn from her. The other kids have other interests. She would like to have another doctor in the family and hopes they do it again. Tripp too. She hugs him and walks away. He watches with a wicked grin ... JJ and Lani go for more water. Eli advises attentive Sonny to respect Paul's wishes. Sonny states that was the jungle madness talking. They argue and Paul stares, his eyes glazed over with rage. A hand is free and his eyes now look possessed. Sonny has his back turned to him ... Gabi and Chad are greeted by JOHN AND MARLENA. The lost are lost no more! Marlena calls it a miracle and they all hug ... Elsewhere Eli and Sonny argue. Gabi and Chad come running with John and Marlena. All are excited about being saved but jungle fever Paul jumps up and tries to take Eli's gun. John cries out NO ... Back at the pub, Steve informs Justin that the doctor gave Adrienne the okay to travel to find Sonny. Justin is just worried about Angelica. Steve now gets a call from Kayla, who believes Tripp wants to make a difference in the world. Meanwhile Tripp sits alone obsessing over the story Jade told him. The motivation in his mind for Kayla committing murder was that Ava made Steve sleep with her and taunted Kayla. Then they fought and Kayla claimed Ava was lying that she gave her a morphine overdose, she wanted to set her up and later shut her up ... Jade now joins Tripp and his coffee at the cafe. He complains how sweet Kayla pretends to be with her patients. Jade tries to make Tripp hate her more. He announces he intends to take action ... Paul is overpowered and papa John checks out his jungle madness son. Then he helps up Marlena. He watches with concern as Sonny holds Paul and assures him they are being rescued. The plane finally came to the right place ... Jade wants to hear Tripp's plan. It involves protocols and the review of patients' files by higher ups. He can get into a patient's file and make mischief with misinformation. Kayla will look like Dr. Death when he is done with her. Jade has her doubts. Tripp will start small. Jade hopes he will not kill anyone. He will not but he will at least ruin her reputation ... Marlena helps Paul rest with a sedative. Sonny is anxious for the antidote. Marlena assures him they will get it and Paul will pull through. John emotionally thanks Sonny for taking such good care of his boy. Sonny sighs he felt so helpless. John can relate but sympathetically suggests he accept whatever fate has in store ... Gabi gushes to Chad they will get to see their kids. She has a bad feeling about them though. Chad kisses her and makes light of her worry. Then he steps away ... Jade offers to be Tripp's partner in crime. She repeats time and time again that Ava was taken from him by Kayla. But they must proceed slowly and with the utmost caution. Tripp agrees. Kayla will not see it coming ... Justin could not get in contact via phone with Angelica and exits the pub with Adrienne. She now gets an exciting call. Big news. Sonny and the others were found safe and sound. They are heading home! Justin and Adrienne hold each other tight. Tears of joy flow ... Intense Eli hopes Lani is alright. She admits she just wants to get home to the people who love her. Eli soap stares. Marlena and John are keeping sleeping Paul cool. Sonny is believed to be packing clothes. Marlena now notices Chad and Gabi are gone. In fact Chad is digging in the sand with Gabi at his side. It is hard but he buries the bad luck amulet She pats the sand and they go back as he grumbles about his lost fortune. But smart Sonny was watching. He saunters toward the telltale line in the sand. There shall be no rest for the Ramses curse! END |
