Lucas reminds her how he consoled her and they came together again ... Xander pretends Nicole was joking with the tie choke. Brady wants him gone and wonders why Nicole let him in. Nicole wants to discuss the possibility of a position. Brady is appalled ... Sami gets upset with Lucas and insists she loves EJ. He thinks she is wrong to trust him. Beside he and Sami got together again not once but twice! Sami feels the familiar old feelings took over and implores him to accept the end of their affair. He refuses ... - Tony smoothly suggests EJ stay longer in Salem, given the latest family drama. He jokes about Jake the mechanic who has no killer DiMera instinct. EJ starts to suspect Shin of supporting the wrong man on purpose, to pave the path for his own power grab. Tony agrees. EJ indignantly wonders why qualified Chad stepped away from the reins of power ... Chad gets Kate to confess she can see and senses a scheme ... Gabi demands to know why Jake did not come clean to suddenly sweet and scared Kate ... Nicole suggests they keep Xander on the inside instead of the outside. He has knowledge of Gabi Chic’s inner workings, and they are the competition! Exasperated Brady wonders how Eric would react and Xander smoothly also wonders, his voice oozing with soft sarcasm ... Jake could not be mean to blind Kate! Gabi decides she is done until he kisses her passionately ... Tony updates EJ on Chad’s rocky marriage with Abigail. EJ assumes it will not be an easy save and complains his fling with that girl almost made him lose Samantha. Tony senses there was a reason he suddenly showed up to bring his wife home and probes ... Lucas argues and reminds Sami how she complained about entitled EJ after they made loooove. She wishes he would stop. He starts to go but she stops him and thanks him. He comes back and they passionately kiss. Enter Marlena. Sami is shocked. Marlena offers to leave. Lucas decides he should leave. Sami insists they were saying goodbye. He wishes her a safe journey home. Once they are alone, Marlena learns she is leaving for Italy and EJ came to Salem to get her ... - EJ claims he came back to show his wife she would be returning to a warmer world with him. She nursed him back to health and he robbed her of her fire. Then she got it back when she needed to fight for the family. Tony hears he apologized to her and concludes like a bona fide DiMera he said and did wot he had to ... Pillow talk Gabi and Jake disagree on what to do about Kate. He cannot kick her when she is down ... Chad teases Kate that he knew she was up to something when Jake said she forgave him. He thinks she is wasting her time. She purrs it is not over until she has annihilated her ex and his pet ... Brady wants a word alone with Nicole. Xander agrees, gushes he cannot wait to work with her and goes. Brady wonders whether Nicole is trying to hit back at absentee Eric. Having Zanimal in her work sphere might bring him home fast. He warns the cad could destroy the company. Nicole recounts the favors she has done for Brady. He remembers and admits he owes her. Slick Xander returns. Brady growls he is hired as Nicole breathes a sigh of relief ... Marlena calls EJ high handed for making Sami head home right away. Sami reasons he wants to make things work so she cannot say no. Marlena calmly explains he is making an emotional demand. Sami gets more stressed by the Salem second ... EJ feels Tony could run the company. Alas he is busy and besotted with Anna. EJ warns the mechanic might destroy the DiMera legacy. Tony slyly suggests EJ be the man to step in and save the day ... Jake just wants the right time to tell Kate. Gabi gets it and smiles she will not see them sneaking around the mansion anyway. Jake now drops another bombshell ... - Xander is elated to join the Basic Black family but Brady leaves in a huff. Xander boasts about his boardroom manner matching his bedroom manner and buzzes around Nicole like a fly. She punches him in the gut and warns next time he gets too touchy she will aim lower. Understood ... Sami is elated and packed. Marlena looks serious. About that kiss she saw ... Sami insists it was a mere farewell. Marlena suggests she might be running away from Lucas, to keep things simple ... EJ insists his marriage needs him now, so Tony argues he and Sami flourished here. The fact is he needs him back at DiMera now! He dangles EJ will be extraordinarily rich if he stays in Salem permanently ... Chad asks about the charade. Kate boasts Snyder was threatened into helping her and wonders whether Chad too will do his part ... Jake agrees with what Chad said, that he must stand by Kate now ... Chad assures Kate her secret is safe with him. She wants him to shake on it. And so they do ... Sami denies wanting to depart due to her desire for Lucas. Marlena starts to ask what Kristen has on them but ... knock knock! Tis EJ and Sami insists she is heading home with him. She opens the door. Sami kisses him. EJ is happy to see Marlena, who heard he was returning to Italy ... Tony cackles to Stefano's portrait that it seems the evil EJ of the old days is back ...
