At the nightclub Nicole wants to mope with her martini. But Dan the man is on the warpath. He lashes out at her for what she did ... to them! Nicole is in denial. She did what many reporters do - she followed her instincts first and her instincts tell her that Serena has a secret. Dan declares she clearly still loves Eric given how she set out to tarnish Serena in his eyes, and for this reason they are done! Nicole weeps and begs him not to leave her ... Serena is smug as a bug she has discovered the elephant she needs in Eric's bedroom. All of a sudden Eric returns and innocently asks where she is ... Brady converses with concerned Maggie at the lavish Kiriakis mansion. He sighs Victor warned him and she assumes he warned him about Mel. Brady enlightens her and becomes serious. He warned him about Theresa the loose canon ... A small baby is carried by at the hospital and Theresa hyperventilates, not understanding why ... Meanwhile Clint is on his phone with Dr. Mandrake, whom he has addressed by name. Mel is listening, her eyes filled with dread. Clint promises he has an eye on his target Theresa 24/7. Mandrake reminds him he knows what to do in case she remembers. Clint repeats he knows what needs to be done. The evil doc adds there is no margin for error with Kristen DiMera and ends the call. Clint now realizes he is not alone and demands to know what Mel is doing. She thinks fast ... Jen is seated at the club when she spies Paige, She greets the girl and insists she join her for a chat as she has missed her. Paige politely sits, though she is not exactly smiling. Jen acknowledges she may be uneasy but she wants to know how she is and also wants her to know how much her saddened son misses her. Paige's eyes brighten ... JJ is home at Horton house feeling like a heel for sleeping with the enemy when said enemy shows up on his doorstop. Eve insists she has an idea ... he must get out of Salem and never come back! Brady refers to his dreadful drama and notes it is different with Mel. They started as friends and still make each other laugh. He likes the way she makes him feel and fears she could get drawn into Theresa the terrible's drama. He vows not to let it happen ... Paige is informed by Jen that JJ confided in her. Matter of fact, he told her of his deep regret. She suggests she give him a second chance ... Mel blasts creepy Clint for breaking the hospital rules by smoking! He haughtily exhales. Theresa enters and calls Mel a beech, sneering to buzz off, he is with HER ... Serena emerges from the bedroom. A frown creases Eric's brow as he wonders what she was doing in there. Serena pouts and pretends to have been crying, needing to fix her makeup. Eric tenderly tells her she is beautiful. They sit with their smoothies. The fallen father admits he has lingering questions about her nervousness around Nicole ... Dan snaps at Nicole stop lying to herself. Anyone can see that she still has the hots for Eric and she still looooooves him. Nicole blames it all on Ted for being so believable. Dan does not buy it and storms out, raging she has seen the last of him! Nicole sobs ... Clint leaves the room as Theresa faces Mel. Mel worriedly wonders how well she knows the guy. She overheard him on the phone. Theresa taunts he is hers. Unlike Mel, she does not have to sit on the sidelines as a man's friend ... Mel decides they are done for now ... JJ thinks Eve's order to run away and study elsewhere is absurd. She snaps to find a job then. He thunders to get out of his house now! She admits she fears what might happen if he stays in Salem. JJ snaps why. She hisses he is selfish and might say too much to Paige one day about who his other woman was. Eve wants to storm out. JJ stops her. They soap stare but he releases her arm. Eve departs. JJ is feeling even more down ... Paige hears that JJ is home alone and thanks Jen. She gets going with stars in her eyes ... Jen sighs when she realizes she left her book on the table ... Maggie smiles about the flowers. Brady confirms he got them from Mel. She reminds him the night is not over and he excitedly agrees. He takes off with the flowers to find his date .. Eric suspects there is something significant on Serena's computer she does not want anyone to see. She smoothly states her competitors would love to steal her research and offers to let Eric sneak a peek ... The Horton house doorbell rings again. JJ growls about the beech coming back and angrily throws open the door to ... smiling Paige ... Eve runs into Jen outside the club. She smiles she wanted to return Paige's book. Eve is incensed to hear they spoke about JJ ... JJ feels there is no more to say between himself and Paige. She begs to differ. Perhaps she does not really need to know who the other woman was and perhaps she is partly to blame for what happened ... As Theresa deals with a phone call, Clint approaches Mel at the nurse's station. He broaches the subject of what she may have overheard. Mel snaps not to forget the no smoking sign on the wall in case he cannot read,and gets in the elevator. Clint is too slow witted to respond before the elevator door closes ... Theresa emerges and gets lovy dovy, then suggests Clint wait down in the car when billionaire heir Brady appears, flowers in hand. She assumes Brady is here again for her and advises him to leave the flowers for whatever patient and then scram. Brady glowers the flowers are for his new girl - MEL! Theresa blanches ... Eric assures his old flame he believes in her and they come close to kissing. Serena stops short and sighs she is tired. He asks her to stay. No luck. She adds he does not seem to have gotten over Nicole so for now they can only be friends. Then she leaves the perplexed ex-priest standing alone ...Brady boasts he and Mel are officially seeing each other. They plan to be very public so get used to seeing him around here. He warns Theresa not to cause any trouble. She pretends not to care but her eyes mirror her pain ... Mel is back at Dan's place. She tells him all about her fall from Brady's date, then asks if he has ever heard of a Dr. Mandrake. Negative, not at any Salem area hospital ... Eric heads to the town square for a coffee. Nicole is there as well. He asks where Dan is. Gone. She asks where Serena is. Eric advises her not to ever ask him about Serena. The stunt she pulled with that good woman was unforgivable ... Serena is back in her room, anything but tired. She crushes the flash drive and signs into her computer, talking to herself about the secrets she has stored, such things no one can see ... Eve and Jen bicker about JJ again. Eve is mad she does not know what a scum he really is. Jen is mad she keeps hounding him and interfering in his love life ... Paige notes she never should have told JJ she was gone to L.A.for good. He wonders what she is getting at. Paige sweetly states they should try for a fresh start. They are in love, after all. She smiles they can talk tomorrow and takes her leave ...Brady is back at the house of Kiriakis. He tells Maggie he missed Mel, who was on a short shift, but laid down the law with Theresa ...Back at the hospital, Theresa tries to forget her heartbreak by hanging onto Clint and kissing him, wanting to party so hard she cannot concentrate ... Dan asks Mel about her interest in someone called Mandrake. He gets a call and steps away, leaving Mel alone with her thoughts ...Eric leers saint Serena is nothing like Nicole and threatens to call the cops the next time she harasses her ... Serena smugly speaks with someone on the phone about Eric having IT. She knows exactly what comes next ... Jen calls Eve a sl*t. Eve screams to keep her son away from her daughter and leaves her standing alone ... At Horton house, Romeo JJ fights back the tears as his Juliet Paige walks into the Salem night ... THE END |
