Length: 1,550 descriptive words Wednesday, January 27, 2016 Episode 12,769 Beware of copycats. These are my words. There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Phillip and Belle have flirty fun at the club. When she comes in and the barista hands her a bag with her usual blueberry muffin and latte, Belle wonders. Then she spies Phillip sitting at his computer and sits at his table, smiling she is too predictable. He drawls that is how they can have these accidental meetings he so enjoys ... The great and powerful Victor Kiriakis has sent for younger brother Deimos. Deimos wants an apology for letting him rot in prison for a crime he did not commit but gets a check instead. A million dollars to leave Salem and never come back! Hothead Deimos tears it up and tells Victor he is an innocent man. Victor insists he killed his fiancee as the evidence suggested and offers him 2 million. No deal. And no apology is forthcoming. Victor snaps to stay away from his family. Deimos suggests he is senile. Victor retorts he is onto him. Dejected dangerous Deimos gets into a sarcastic snit. He suggests Victor is no better than their father. Victor growls he was a spoiled brat who did not have to bear the beatings. Now get out! All of a sudden he clutches his heart and falls onto the sofa. Deimos pauses ... Theresa is all dolled up when she wakes up sleeping Brady with a kiss in his hospital room. He gasps in surprise. She assures him he can tell her about those dreams he has been having with Nicole, then excuses herself to see when he will be getting released. Her stunning eyes are filled with worry ... At the hospital a sad event is about to take place. Eric is being released - to the authorities. He stands and mother Marlena hugs him with a cry. Roman laments it is almost time. Eric insists this must all have meaning. He is handcuffed by an officer, who reads him his rights. Nicole happens along and hisses he should have NO right but to rot in prison forever! Marlena implores her not to make a scene so she storms off. Eric sighs he deserved it but Marlena's heart is breaking ... Broken-hearted Nicole storms into Brady's room, raging that Eric deserves the maximum sentence. Brady wishes she would not allow herself to be consumed with hatred. Tis not what Dan the man with the good and noble heart would want ... Victor appears to be having a heart attack. Deimos leaves him to his fate without giving it a second thought ... Claire has summoned Eve and excitedly tells her how her dad is on board so she has decided to try that Julliard audition. She complains about her mom not even noticing her, going to Vegas with Phillip instead, and Eve gives her a sympathetic hug. She assures the glum girl her mama loves her. But Claire believes she loves her love life more ... Belle teases Phillip for gambling and reminds him of their raunchy card game, how it ended. Their hands are seductively touching over the table. Shawn appears and solemnly surveys the scene. Belle leaves for work ... Nicole goes for a hospital walk with Brady. She would like an update on those dreams. Theresa told her they involved Dan. Bewildered Brady admits he has dreamt of Nicole and Dan's happy times together, including his proposal at a restaurant. Nicole exclaims those must be his memories and breaks down ... Shawn approaches slick suited Phillip and tries to tell him to stay away from Belle. He accuses him of taking advantage as she is confused and trying to hit back at him for hurting her. Phillip gets sarcastic about his sudden desire to reconcile when he was the one who wanted a divorce. He calls him frivolous and warns this is the last time he is talking to him about Belle. Shawn walks out without another word. Phillip sits back down in his slick suit ... Nicole tenderly takes Brady's hand as he explains she was also in a dream he had when there were waves crashing at the beach. Nicole notes that was not her. Theresa appears at the door and worriedly watches them together ... As Deimos walks out of the mansion, he meets up with entering Phillip. Phillip finds Victor on the couch clutching his chest and scrambles to call 911. Victor tells him not to and admits he faked the heart attack to test dear brother Deimos who FAILED! The s.o.b. left him to die ...! Marlena and Roman are waiting with D.A. Justin at the station. She implores him not to use her son's case to further his political agenda. Justin smoothly states he will argue the case and the judge will decide the sentence. Roman looks worried ... Theresa joins Brady to tell him that Fynn is releasing him tomorrow, the day of Dan's funeral. Naturally he must come home to be with her and Tate. Nicole did not realize the service would be tomorrow and gets even more emotional ... Phillip reasons Deimos' rage might stem from the fact that Victor let him take the fall for the death of his fiancee 30 years ago. Victor eyes him with suspicion and states he only told Maggie. How did he know that story? Phillip lies he overheard and then approached Deimos for his side of the story. He claimed he was innocent ... Belle and Marlena meet at the condo. Eric is already in jail and Marlena is taking it hard. Mother and daughter hug. Belle insists on being Eric's lawyer. Even though he is pleading guilty, he must have representation, which he has thus far refused. Grateful Marlena agrees. Belle now complains about Claire not returning her calls. Marlena patiently points out Claire had been hoping for some mother daughter alone time but the Belle went off ... Belle assumes she is referring to her affair and gets defensive. Marlena clarifies. She was referring to Belle and Phillip's impulsive trip to Vegas ... Victor growls that Deimos is no innocent. Phillip pretends he felt it was in the best interest of their clan to keep him close. Victor is counting on keeping his son's hands clean for the company. And after Dan's funeral, they will get rid of Deimos for good ... Sultry Kate is at the club drinking alone. She leaves Ed a message about missing his dangerous aura and ends the call. Deimos asks to join her with his own drink and states his name. Kate coos to join her and asks about his Kiriakis connection. He grins he is Victor’s brother. She smiles she is his ex and sips her drink. Deimos insists he is a different kind of Kiriakis. Kate muses Victor never mentioned him. He drawls he is direct, unlike Victor, the man of many secrets. Phillip enters and Kate makes the introductions. Phillip solemnly states they already met briefly. Deimos charmingly excuses himself. Phillip now warns his mother against that one cos he is trouble. Too late. Kate likes a challenge. She waltzes out with a wicked look in her eye. Phillip sits down with a stressed sigh. This is not good ... Nicole is overwhelmed when Theresa tells her of Maggie's small service planned for Dan, followed by a reception, and cremation, as per his wishes. In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted for the new children's wing at the hospital. Nicole is much moved ... Belle bitterly confesses she avoided being alone with Claire as she could not bear to discuss Shawn. It was too painful ... Claire arrives and Marlena discreetly departs, Belle now apologizes to her daughter for being selfish but Claire has other matters on her mind. She hopes her mother will be on board for her Julliard audition cos dad is. Belle tries to force a smile. Claire flounces off. Shawn arrives to talk to Belle but she is a tad peeved ... Nicole is alone at Dan's apartment when Theresa brings by the proofs she needs her to sign. She praises her for her professional input that saved the photo shoot ... Shawn explains he has come to tell Belle that he believes he is to blame for her lashing out in hurt and confusion. Belle is furious that he feels her trip with Phillip was no more than a reaction to how he hurt her. Now it is Shawn's turn to get testy, given her defense of Phillip. Perhaps he should leave. She leers that is a great idea so he does just that. Alas another impasse ... At the station, Marlena hugs her son one last time before the cop carts him off to prison. Then she has a meltdown in Roman's arms ... Nicole tells Theresa not to worry. She is drawn to Brady due to his Dan memories and it may be intense but there is nothing romantic about it. She weeps she misses Daniel and Theresa hugs her. Back at the hospital, Brady dreams of being at the beach somewhere far far away. The waves are crashing, the sun is blindingly bright. He wakes up to Dan's heart beating wildly inside him and wonders ... THE END! Ahead on Days: Bye bye Daniel Jonas. |
