These are my words. There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Steve is sipping his coffee, staring out the morning window, wondering about his long lost child who is somewhere out there. Kayla emerges with a suitcase, as she has been summoned to D.C. to explain herself to the National Donor Registry. Steve suspects someone ratted her out. She can see something is bothering him so he updates her on Ava announcing the baby in those photos was HIS. Kayla cries it is impossible. He reminds sweetness it would be very possible. Kayla insists Ava is lying again ... Jealous Joe shows up at Ava's door, upset she is ignoring his texts. She gently tells him the time has come for them to keep their distance. He blurts out he loves and wants to be with the older woman. She replies that is not possible for she is dying of leukemia. Joey is utterly crushed ... At Horton house, Abigail has put the baby to bed and announces to JJ and Jen that she and Chad are in love and engaged. JJ questions her sanity. Jen seems to feel the same way. Abigail is indignant. Chad is a good man! JJ snaps she said the same thing about Ben. Jen notes she was recently upset by Chad as well. Abigail argues things have changed and he wants nothing to do with the DiMeras. She blasts JJ for throwing the past in her face. Jen thinks he does have a point. JJ laments and before Ben there was EJ DiMera. Abigail believes that she and Chad were meant to be and boasts there was a cancellation so they will have a Valentine's Days wedding at St. Luke's. Jen gasps that was the day Dan and Nicole were to wed. Abi makes light of it and states she will change the date. Jen explains there would be planning to do and planning a wedding takes time. Abigail tells her that no other DiMeras will be there as Chad is done with them. She leaves in tears, not even sure they will attend though she wants them to. Jen tries to stop her, without any luck ... At DiMera mansion Andre is on the phone ordering his flunky to find fatha. Chad arrives, having returned for the rest of his belongings. Andre anxiously updates him on fatha's mysterious disappearance after Detective Hope came to speak with him. Chad lets him know he is done with the DiMeras. Besides if father was responsible for Bo's demise as Hope had claimed, he deserved whatever he got. Andre believes that is cold. Chad admits he will miss the mansion cos they don't make them like this anymore but that is all. He later takes one last long look around the luxurious living room. He suddenly spies a chess piece with a BLOOD STAIN on the desk and wonders. Chad's blue eyes are evidently as perceptive as they are pretty ... Rafe disagrees with Hope pleading guilty to Malcolm's murder especially cos she did not even commit said murder! Hope explains her point of view. She is painfully aware that she would be found guilty regardless and the long trial would take its toll on Ciara. She will lie Malcolm attacked her and plead self-defense, with no mention of Stefano. She can say she suffered temporary amnesia and the memory recently returned. Rafe is listening ... Kayla is further infuriated when Steve states Ava wants him to find the baby that is his before she dies. Kayla snaps she is setting him up, she is back to her old tricks! Steve patiently points out he can look into whether she did have a child and then save the poor child, who was sold on the black market. He cannot leave any child to such a fate. Then he would do a DNA test. Kayla glares at him. She is pressed for time and must leave for the hospital with her suitcase, then go straight to the airport. He wants a sweet goodbye but gets a frosty farewell instead ... Rafe reminds Hope that Roman will be a tough commissioner to convince. She has made up her mind so he tenderly tells her he will help her rehearse her speech. He tells her he believes in her and looks deeply into her eyes. He places her jacket around her shoulders, strokes her arms ever so slightly, and they depart together ... Joey is stunned and sorry. He asks Ava how much time she has. Not long. She implores her FRIEND to find a way to forget his crush on her. He refuses and impulsively kisses her on the lips. Ava had not been expecting this and her eyes widen ... Abigail arrives at the club with baby Thomas. Chad is thrilled to see them both. He informs his fiancee he moved out of the mansion. Stefano was not even present as he went out of town. She worries he was not in the best health to go gallivanting off but Chad dismisses it. He just wants to spend time with the woman and baby he loves so dearly ... Steve enters the club and Abigail lets him hold his new grandnephew. Steve melts as he holds Tom for the first time and tells her he looks like brother Jack. He gets choked up about Jack not being able to meet his first grandchild and promises to make up for it, as well as for the father. Chad is proud as Abigail gushes Chad DiMera is the father, not Ben as she had believed before. Steve takes it all in stride with a smile ... Ava orders lovestruck Joe to let go of his infatuation and to get out, never come back. But when she throws open the door, there stands Kayla, who is horrified. She rages WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING WITH MY SON! Joey stammers he came to a wrong door but Ave defiantly declares they have nothing to hide ... Back at the club, Abigail laments to Chad that her family might not be attending their wedding. Chad gives his son and fiancee a tender goodbye and goes to argue his case to the family ... Ava smugly states she and Joey worked as a team to bring his parents back together. Kayla angrily orders Joey to go home immediately. Alone with her arch enemy, she rages to stay away from her son. And Steve will never help her find her baby now! Kayla rages she will protect her family from her. Ava quietly watches without a word ... Jen agrees to let Chad inside Horton house, though JJ is not at home. He declares he loves her daughter more than anything in the world and wants to spend the rest of his life making her happy. He promises to never hurt her. Jen snaps he would have to prove it but how ... She suddenly stops and clutches her back in pain. She starts to collapse but Chad swiftly catches her ... Steve heads home, only to find Joey in tears. He admits he and Ava were working together. Steve suspects Ava made him keep it a secret. Joey sobs about Ava dying. He weeps what will he do without her and Steve's eyes widen in horror as he realizes she made his son fall in love with her ... Kayla warns Ava she is going to send her straight to prison. She storms out to make good on her threat so Ava grabs a candlestick and follows her out. She clobbers her on the head and knocks Kayla unconscious. Then she drags her back inside, calling her a pain in the ass, and shuts the door with no remorse ... At the station, as Lani stands by Commissioner Roman and Rafe stands by Hope, Hope confesses to Roman that she murdered Dr. Seth Malcolm. Roman stares back at her in disbelief. He senses something strange is going on. Rafe glances from Roman to Hope, who meets Roman's stare with determination ... THE END! |
