Anxious Abigail is at the office when jumpy Jordan arrives. Jordan admits she feels terrible for what Chad did to Rafe but abstained from speaking to him, worried it might make Chad mad thus making things worse for Ben. Abigail excuses herself on a mysterious errand, her round eyes filled with Devereaux determination ... Clyde catches up with nightclub manager Rafe at the town square, just to say how much he appreciates him giving Ben a break. Rafe alludes to problems for Ben from the Chad corner but Clyde claims the DiMera does not intend to press charges against his boy since he is the boyfriend of Ben's sister. Rafe lets him know that was then this is now and now Jordan is done with Chad. Of course Chad out of the picture is best for Jordan if Clyde even gives a dang about his daughter ... Kate is seated at DiMera mansion, the fire in the fireplace going strong. She suspects Chad has been standing in the doorway staring at her, ready to wage war. Chad the cad plays it cool ... Eve appears on campus and Paige pouts she is here again. Eve reminds her that this is the day ... the day her daddy walked out and her daughter gave her a reason to go on. Paige is sorry she forgot. She pouts Eve won, JJ is now a thing of the past. Eve is sorry for everything. She hopes they can still be a team. Paige tells her she will always be her mom. Eve asks to meet up later, after she drops something off for Aunt Theresa at the hospital ... Jumpy Jen bumps into Dan at the hospital, almost hysterical about Eve hurting her son. Dan drawls he spoke to JJ. Jen insists he tell all and takes him to her office ... JJ is at Horton house with his old boarding school party girl pal, Roxanne. Pretty Roxy came from Chicago as asked and wonders what he wants her to do. JJ admits it is about a girl he wants to set straight and asks her to be his faux girlfriend for the day. He points out it is perfect for his purposes that Roxy never posts her personal business online. Roxy the future banker feels he wants to be mean again and therefore decides to pass ... Chad smoothly states he would be well within his rights to be enraged. However, he reasons Rafe was the one who went after him not her. Besides Jordan was one girl who was a waste of his time. He talks money and corporate power. Kate coos so she was right about Jordan, then she did Chad a favor. Chad once more refers to the corporation, claiming he is looking forward to the next board meeting. He seems to want to make a splash. Kate observes him with her cat eyes, declaring she wants them to be the best business partners. Still she wonders ... Chad plays along and she leaves to meet someone, not wanting to be late ... The minute Kate is gone, Chad places a call to suited Stefano, who gushes he was just thinking of his son. Chad is intense. He seeks his help. The phoenix is delighted and responds with a resounding of courrrrrrrrrrse! How? Chad seeks to destroy Kate! Stefano is even more delighted ... Clyde is impatient when Kate arrives late at the park. He complains about the Jordan and Chad breakup being bad for Ben. Kate apologizes for the conversation Jordan overheard her having with Chad about him setting up Rafe. Clyde calls the fact that it was overheard BULL. He rages at Kate, warns her she had better hope Chad does not put Ben in prison for his as well as HER sake and storms off. Kate is stunned ... After hearing the story, Stefano is pleased that Chad is done with useless Jordan, though he remains committed to his and his son's new mission of destroying Katarrrina together. And so a sinister scheme is born ... JJ had not anticipated a no but Roxy the smart cookie realized he was not giving her the whole story ... Jen sits Dan down in her office. The casual medicine man repeats JJ wanting to man up, handle things on his own. Jen gets pinched. Dan points out he must leave for a lecture but suggests they respect JJ's decision to do this on his own. Jen snaps and agrees but Dan has his doubts ... Old JJ the nice guy appeals to Roxy to help him make things right for the girl he wronged. She glances at a photo of his late father, sighs he used to be nice before he died, and agrees to help ... Rafe pays Jordan a visit in her office. He is sorry she got hurt. She is sorry she was wrong and chose Chad the cad. Rafe now repeats Clyde's concern - that Chad the cad could turn on Ben ... Stefano reminds Chad to stay the course and stick to the long game. He wishes him luck in Italiano and says ciao. Chad the indoctrinated DiMera now has a visitor - Abigail ... JJ and Roxy are on campus acting like a couple. JJ runs into Dan and lets him know this is his new girlfriend ... Eve drops by the hospital to drop off something for Theresa. She runs into Jen, who rages at her for wanting to use Theresa against her son. Eve hisses back a few insults about JJ the creep and leaves. She accidentally forgets her keys on the counter. Jen pockets them ... JJ takes Roxy to the square. She sees him sadly looking at a girl and gets it is showtime. JJ drapes his arm around her and introduces Paige to the old flame from his past she could not have known. Paige pouts she does not even care, he is off the hook, and storms off ... Abigail asks Chad how he is. Chad questions why she cares. She claims she does but he has his doubts. When Ben's name comes up, he suggests maybe he and his temper belong in the slammer ... Dan returns to Jen and updates her on JJ officially going public with his new girlfriend Roxy. Jen snaps she knows who she is and it is not possible JJ is involved with her ... Roxy senses JJ's heartbreak and they hug. Eve comes along and stops in her tracks ... Rafe runs into Kate at the square, sarcastic about her latest stunt. He suspects she knew all along Chad was the one who ruined his reputation and is not impressed ... Clyde appears at Jordan;s office, agitated about Kate's actions that could push Chad to send Ben to prison in retaliation. Jordan suspects Abigail is appealing to him as they speak. Clyde gets upset that his good keeeeeeeed might be robbed of his chances and he is better then him! T'was that nasty temper from him that is to blame. Jordan realizes Clyde really does care about his son ... Abigail implores Chad not to play with Ben's life. Chad makes a side remark about their happily ever after, Abi, Ben, their kids, and grandpa Clyde teaching them the banjo. Abigail stares and cries why is he doing this to her? Chad brazenly closes the distance between them. Because he would like to find out how far she would go to keep her boyfriend out of the slammer ... but make no mistake THE BITCH SLAP COMETH!
