Sonny is sleeping in his hospital bed under the watchful eye of Dr. Kayla and Kate, who is bold in blue. Sonny has a night terror - that Paul has taken his place at the apartment with Will and Arianna and the family they made. He cries out noooooooo but does not wake up. Kayla explains the medication might be giving him bad dreams but that is nothing out of the ordinary. She gets paged away. Kate is rather worried regardless but decides to go ... until Sonny opens his eyes and grabs her arm. He insists she STAY and so she does. Sonny is not smiling ... Will in reality IS at the apartment about to put Ari to bed when Paul calls. He was concerned and asks Will how he feels. Will exclaims how does he feel? Paul went and slept with him and is in love with HIS husband! How would he expect him to feel! Paul smoothly suggests they meet to talk. No can do for Will must put their daughter to bed. Paul gets choked up. He and Sonny have a daughter? Indeed. Paul is very sorry. Will sighs so is he and then opens his door to a smiling visitor ... Serena gets shrill about the elephant, ruining the romantic mood of the dinner Eric prepared. The candlelight is serene but Serena is not. She demands Eric give her the name of the party who has his elephant. He refuses and laughs it is not a matter of life and death. If only he knew ... Parker is on yet another sugar high so Dan must try and get him to sleep in his bed, post lemon squares. Mel giggles she is going out for ice cream. Dan notes there was something she wanted to say to him. She stammers it is about him and Nicole ... Nicole the sleuth is seated at her computer in the office, still under the hood. She has found something on Mandrake. Something very suspicious ... Meanwhile Dr. Death - aka Mandrake - is on his phone with Ms. DiMera, promising her that Theresa Donovan poses no problem ... Brady has tailed Theresa to the town square and tenderly tells her to explain why she saved him. She denies anything. He assures her he is not out to get anyone. Theresa has tears in her eyes. It troubles her that he actually did not realize she would rather not see him come to any harm. Brady is bewildered. She admits she did not realize until it was too late that he became addicted so easily, unlike her. By then it was too late for them but she is filled with regret about what happened that night with John and more ... Mel innocenty questions Dan on being done with Nicole. He sighs he is. Mel reasons Nicole did say she was sorry. Dan cannot fathom where this is coming from and then wonders whether Mel and Brady might be having problems. Mel dismisses the notion and adds it might not be too late for Dan and Nicole ... Kate innocently asks Sonny whether he has read Will's article. His story is going national. Sonny glowers at the glam one. He wishes to discuss Will and Paul and suspects Kate knows why. Matter of fact, he suspects she knew more than she is letting on ... Marlena enters the apartment with a smile. Will is relieved to see her and even more relieved when she offers to help ... He sits and unburdens his soul to her about wanting to prove to Paul that Paul was gay, sleeping with him, not realizing he was the one Sonny had proposed to before they met. It is the kind of mess one might expect from the son of Sami ... Marlena takes it all in stride, not admitting she already knew, given the doctor-patient confidentiality she must adhere to. All she can say to woeful Will is that he should not throw away the love and the life he and Sonny have built together. Will agrees ... Eric flashes back to asking his friend Dan to take the elephant ...Dan steps into the other room, where Parker is rowdy, not sleeping like he should be ... Mel gets a message from Nicole, who confirms she has made a discovery. Mel is on her way but alas the absentminded one forgets her phone on the sofa ... Eric gets an unexpected call from Kayla at the hospital. A sister is sadly on her last leg and asking to see the former father. Eric is on his way. Serena will follow as soon as she gets changed ... Mel rushes to Nicole's office. Nicole points to the data on her computer ... Nicole has uncovered a coverup concerning the mysterious Mandrake. He gave it all up and vanished for a year, only to emerge with 4 times as much revenue as before - revenue that, according to his tax return, comes from certain companies which cannot be traced. Mel gets it. Shell companies! Nicole gets worried about getting in too deep without telling Dan. She asks how their conversation went. Mel did her best but cannot confirm he will come around anytime soon. Nicole still wonders who Mandrake was connected too. Mel acts like she has lost interest. Just Theresa ...Brady is sitting with Theresa at the square and sighs he was always under some kind of influence when he was with her and is sorry he seemed so mad afterwards. Theresa understands. He thanks her for saving him tonight. They agree on a truce and she suddenly states maybe they should try again ... Brady pauses for an uncomfortable moment, then murmurs he has moved on with Mel ... Theresa tells him she meant as friends. Brady adds and she is with ... she sighs she and Clint are no more, claiming she did the dumping. Brady now gets a call from Dan, who asks about Mel's whereabouts. Theresa gets tense when she realizes Brady is talking about Mel. He informs Dan he is not with her at the moment and has not seen her. But they are meeting later. Dan decides he will talk to her later and asks Brady to pass on she forgot her phone. Brady gets back to Theresa, who snaps to forget tonight and just go to his girlfriend! She storms home to her lonely apartment ... Paul sadly sips his coffee at the club when out of the blue his mother appears. He stands up and hugs Mrs. Norita, surprised to see her in Salem. She announces she is here to take him home. He explains he has physical therapies to do in Salem. She suggests he finish those in San Francisco. Paul points out he has ... other matters ... Sonny accuses Kate of advising Will to LIE to him about his affair. He knows what he heard and he heard her say Sonny could never find out. Kate is so sorry ... Parker has taken a liking to the elephant from Eric and snuggles on the sofa with his new elephant friend, whom he has named Fred so when Eric calls Dan tells him so. Eric realizes he will never be able to get it back and says nothing ... Meanwhile Serena has arrived at the hospital and admits to Kayla she was petty with Eric, who is such a good man to be there for the sister in her hour of need. Kayla warns her it could be all night so Serena goes back to her hotel room, still filled with remorse about ruining the romantic evening ... Crying Kate confesses she did tell Will not to talk, but he was a mess. She is horrified to hear that Paul is Sonny's ex and suggests Paul targeted Will to cause trouble. Sonny doubts it ... Eric calls Serena and sighs he cannot get the elephant back. She does not take the news well ... Theresa is feeling lonely at her apartment and calls Clint, who has disconnected his number! She spies a fallen piece of paper and sees another number he scribbled down. She gets a bottle of wine about to drown her sorrows, then decides to call. It could he another girl or his wife ... Kate insists Will would never intentionally hurt Sonny! Will appears and laments but he did. Sonny soap stares ... Nicole stares dreamily at a photo of Dan her man on her phone and decides she does not mind waiting for him ... Mel and Brady catch up at the park. He is surprised she has ice cream. The sweethearts kiss up a storm ... Theresa takes a chance and calls the number. Tis Dr. Mandrake, who picks up as such. MANDRAKE HERE. BOOM! Theresa identifies who she is and Dr. Death who stole her fetus hangs up in horror. Theresa remembers Mel asking her about Mandrake and gets suspicious ... Paul's mother steps away for tea. Enter the Marlena. When Mrs. Norita steps back, Paul innocently introduces her to Dr. Evans. Marlena turns around with a smile. Mrs. Norita drops her tea and looks like she has seen a ghost. BOOM! ... Kate urges Will and Sonny to fight for their love, their life and leaves. Sonny bitterly waits for Will to say it was not his fault.Will admits it was his fault but adds Sonny's secrecy was what brought them to this. Sonny stares at him in disbelief ... THE END! Ahead on Days: Will pleads. Hope is distressed ... Kate takes action against Chad! |
