There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Glam Doug and Julie are at the club for Valentine's Day. She has brought all the pictures of Salem couples past and present. He teases her for being a sucker for love but she knows he too believes in its neverending power ... Nicole opens her door to a delivery man who delivers huge roses with a letter. T'was pre-ordered months ago. Once inside, she reads the letter from DAN when he was alive. He said every day would be Valentine's with her and she breaks down. Then she heads to his grave and is spooked to hear him say her name. She goes back home and hears it again. NICOOOOOOOOLE. Then he ends up at her door, a man of light. She is afraid but he tenderly tells her why he had to come back. It is to tell her to stop spending every day grieving and go back to living. She weeps he was the love of her life. He assures her nothing will change that but asks her to live and tells her his heart beats for her. Then they kiss, surrounded by the light. It is their last kiss ever ... Julie remembers the good old days for Mickey and Maggie and muses the memories are still there for Maggie when Doug alludes to Mickey's death. She loves her own memories and looks forward to a bright future. She places her arms around hubby ... Theresa is asleep in her bed alone when she dreams of being the maid who is in love with Brady. In the story, it is his wedding day to Nicole and Victor approves but the maid is fired as Nicole does not like her. Downtrodden Theresa ends up at the square, which has been romantically decorated for the wedding. This is where Brady finally finds her and announces he loves her so will she marry HIM? She exclaims yes and they kiss in bliss. She wakes up while Brady strokes her arm, apologizing for the single rose he has. The florist had nothing left. He regrets forgetting what day it was. She laments she had a dream she lost him but he drawls he is going nowhere and they kiss ... Doug surprises Julie by clearing out the club, presenting her with flowers, and sweeping her off her feet to dance with him to a seductive jazz song ... Abigail opens her eyes in bed, smiles at Chad holding their baby, and then falls back asleep. They are living at DiMera mansion and he has a Valentine's gift for her - a locket with the inscription A LOVE LIKE OURS COMES ONCE IN A LIFETIME. They kiss and she steps away to check on their sleeping son. That is when Chad's dark side appears and taunts him that he is here to stay. He believes he is the true DiMera and has drugged Chad's drink. Chad collapses and he locks him in the DiMera dungeon. There is no way out. Upstairs Chad's Dark Side kisses Abigail and attempts to convince her to sign a pre-nup. She is bewildered by his about-face. He points out he needs to protect the family legacy. She plays along and drugs his wine. That is the end of the dark side! Abigail rushes down to the dungeon and opens the door, happily reunited with real Chad. She wakes up and she tells him what the dream locket he had given her said. That a love like theirs ... He finishes comes once in a lifetime. They kiss ... Julie suddenly feels a chill and suggests she and Doug depart on a tropical cruise as soon as possible. Meanwhile evil Ava Vitali is asleep ... In a dream she is smug when Steve confronts her for making him lose Kayla, who is going to tell Joey everything and turn him against her. She slyly suggests he murder her. Kayla now arrives and Steve is out of sight. She confronts Ava, who summons Steve to shut her up. Steve fires his unloaded gun. Kayla, having pulled out a gun of her own, laughs she feels threatened. Steve grins to go for it so she shoots Ava dead. Steve wakes up on the sofa with Kayla. They are somewhat surprised they spent the whole night cuddling on the couch. She assumes he was watching a movie. Steve remembers his story and smiles he had the sweetest dreams all night ... Wild child Ciara is the star of her own story at the square. She explains her name means both saint and dark. She is the saint with Theo but the woman in the dark dress with Chase. She kisses both ... Rafe opens the Stefano DiMera Murder file at the station and starts to imagine. He wakes up seated at Stefano's chess set with Andre seated across from him. Hope is being held hostage and Rafe must win at chess to save her. Alas he loses and Andre leaves a gun on the now empty chess board, having vanished like a bat out of hell. Rafe hears him in the living room taunting Hope that Rafe will only let her down as he did with all the others. He is holding a gun to her. Rafe to the rescue! Alas he is too late and shot Hope dies in his arms, gasping Happy Valentine's Day, assuring him he did not let her down. Rafe opens his eyes at his desk and looks down at the calendar, realizing it is Valentine's Day. He breathes a sigh of relief with a smile ... The couples now converge at the square ... Doug and Julie kiss like a classic soap couple, dressed to the nines ... Chad and Abigail enjoy an outing with their baby ... Rafe walks by with Hope at his side ... Ciara acts flirty with Theo and her frozen yogurt ... Steve and Kayla share a romantic stroll ... Theresa and Brady kiss as they waltz past ... But Nicole stands all alone. She hears Dan's voice one last time, reminding her he loves her and is here for her with every beat of his HEART. THE END! |
