There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Sonny enters the lavish Kiriakis mansion and announces to Victor he needs help. $200,000 to bring the new club up to code. The Greek stands up and states he will not help save a rat hole. Sonny is stunned. The Greek growls Sonny was played. But why was he so desperate to expand at any cost? Surely there would have been easier ways to impress Hollywood Will! How much does he owe Chad now? Sonny assures him his agreement with Chad was generous, giving him most of the profit plus additional funds. Victor suspiciously takes a look at said agreement, dismayed Sonny never showed it to a lawyer. He notices the word LIABILITY in small print. Sonny only gets a lion’s share the profits when there are profits. But if the club fails, he will be dragged down in debt. And it gets even worse … Theresa dreams of Paul morphing into Brady in her arms and wakes up with a gasp. Brady had reminded her they would always be CONNECTED. Madame Milbauer arrives at the apartment with a bottle of wine for good cheer. Theresa complains about her crazy Brady dreams. She insists they are done and sips her mug of tea. She plans to move on with Paul and boasts she may have also met a new potential friend. Annie is intrigued. Theresa only knows she was applying for nursing and is a lot like her - a trouble maker! Abe approaches Nicole near the town square Christmas tree. He is aware she hung up on 911 and waits for an explanation. She blurts out Mel was in trouble, then retracts that. She merely misread the situation so she hung up. Abe had no idea Mel was back and is happy for Dan, who was down about losing Jen. Tis a tragedy for Dan and Jen were the perfect match. At least according to Abraham. Nicole accuses him of implying she is to blame for said breakup and gets extremely agitated ... At Dan’s pad, Mel is relieved Brady is not mad but Dan is plenty mad and wants to have his say ... At the pub, Eric cannot believe what he is seeing. Serena feels as though she is in a dream but it is so real. She takes a step closer. He stands up and says she looks great. She never forgot him. He gushes he has saved all her letters and emails. Her too. He is grateful she supported his holy decision, then asks why she left Europe for Salem! He folds his arms. She murmurs her heart almost stopped when she saw him. They must talk but only in private. He replies he is having repairs done at his new place but this pub is closed until dinner. Serena would rather be elsewhere so he happily escorts his rediscovered sweetheart somewhere more suitable … At the club, T polishes glasses and teases Chad about his strangely short date with Jordan, Chad alludes to the fact that he is playing this one right! They now discuss baristo Ben. T thinks he is a great guy but Chad talks temper. T suspects he has an issue with him. Chad arrogantly claims everything is going his way … Dr. Marlena enters Paul’s room. He is dressed and ready to go. She is aware he is remaining in Salem for physical therapy and offers to help. Paul gets impatient and sarcastically states she keeps on coming back expecting him to confide some big secret that does not even exist. It is crazy! Marlena counters he thinks he is very clever. Paul drawls he needs no shrink. Marlena notes his reaction speaks volumes, wishes him the best, and graciously goes. Dan blasts Mel for lying and bringing those casino creeps after her, endangering others too. Mel exclaims the trouble is over but she is sorry. She hopes Dan is done. He is not done. Was she really just running away when she came back to them? Brady listens intently. Colorful Maggie suddenly arrives with Parker. She sees Brady’s lip and he drawls it was a bar fight that’s all. Mel and Parker are delighted to get reconnected. Big sister needs a hug and Parker happily obliges. She gets choked up in front of the fireplace. Maggie rests her head on Dan’s shoulder, then realizes she walked in on a discussion. Mel sighs she did have a secret but she came home for the family and that’s the truth. She is happy to be home and is hoping for her old job back. She hopes they do not hate her. Brady mutters to cut it out. Dan is sorry for the outburst. Mel is relieved. She sees Brady to the door. Brady assures her he is in no place to judge given his own falls from grace with Kristen and then Theresa the terrible! Meanwhile Maggie and Dan discuss their thoroughly modern Mel. Never a dull moment! Eric walks serene Serena to the pretty park. The romantic redhead sits on a bench with her former flame and asks why he has not returned to the priesthood. He sighs it is a loooong story. She is all ears and lets him know she is staying in Salem for a year to do journalistic research at the hospital. He is surprised she did not email him about it. She confesses she was anxious about his reaction … Sonny reads the clever contract in denial but the Greek growls he could also lose Club TBD. Victor understands he wanted Will to see Salem could also be exciting but he lost his focus in the process, Sonny storms off … He storms all the way to the club, where he confronts his partner and so-called friend Chad the cad for his brazen betrayal. Chad plays innocent. Sonny rages about the liability clause. He could lose everything! Chad calmly claims it is not likely the club would go under cos Sonny was so sold on it. Sonny accuses him of knowing it was a bust all along … Paul the civilian has checked into the Salem Inn. Derek the handsome bellboy sees him to his room and promises discretion … Paul flashes a smile and hands him a hefty tip… Theresa reasons to Anne that Paul would be perfect to get her mind off Brady and what happened … Anne yawns and decides to head home. She suggests Theresa sneak the wine and herself into Paul’s room. Maybe one day she can introduce her to the team manager cos they are the ones who make the big bucks long term … Mel heard a few choice things about that Theresa girl from Abigail. Parker calls for Mellyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to come back and play. Brady and Mel hug and he goes on his way. Mel smiles and gets back to the family. Maggie hopes there will be no more melodrama. She hugs her granddaughter tight. Mel gets to playing with Parker. She wants to be a better person, a good nurse. She soon departs for the hospital, to check on the status of her re-application. Tender music plays as she hugs her little brother and asks Dan for the keys to the car. He happily dangles them and adds some cash before she can ask. Needy Mel hugs him again and goes on her way. Maggie smiles in delight that their Mel is back! But wherever Mel goes ... At the festive square, Nicole makes light of what she did. Abe is indignant she prevented Eric from returning to the priesthood. Nicole has heard quite enough and cuts the conversation short. Victor pays Marlena a visit at her office. He expresses his deep concern about Sonny and Will's future … Paul cannot stop thinking of Sonny and opts for a walk. He puts on his jacket, his baseball cap, and gets going … At the club, Chad claims he only cared that Sonny liked the place and acts upbeat. Sonny snaps he could lose everything. Chad pretends to have faith in him with the new club and excuses himself to a conference call with Kate. Sonny sighs he is screwed even if Chad did not set him up. T hopes everything is okay. Sonny grumbles and takes off. Paul catches sight of him and takes off after him! On duty Maxine and hopeful Mel discuss the hospital. She knows Anne is an enemy and decides to go get her ignored application to give it to the head of nursing. Mel must be back where she belongs! She steps away and Theresa arrives. The edgy girls are glad to see each other again. The giggle about her bottle of wine for the patient who got away. Theresa invites her for a pizza. Mel promised to hang out with her little brother. Theresa asks for her number and thinks this could be beginning of a great friendship. Mel eagerly agrees and they get out their phones to exchange contact details ... Brady wants to discuss something with Nicole at the house of Kiriakis. Her and Dan. She talks friends only. Brady calls her clueless about her own feelings. She is too guarded when she falls for someone. Nicole scoffs. Serena stands up. So does Eric, who gushes he is always happy to see her. She dramatically declares HE is the only reason she accepted this assignment. Eric gazes in wonder. They both do. Marlena explains Sonny and Will must be the ones who work things out. The Greek sighs at least it is only work related. Marlena muses it could be worse. Indeed. One of them could be cheating … Sonny is at the lonely town gate, leaving Will another desperate message to please call him back. Paul comes around the corner with a cocky grin … When Mel hears Theresa’s name, the fiery redhead scoffs and snaps she is Melanie Jonas! Theresa is shocked. Mel looks ready for battle … Brady advises Nicole to re-explore her relationship with Dan cos there is no holding out hope of any kind for her and Eric … Eric is much moved that Serena is in Salem for him. She tenderly tells him she pulled back when he chose the priesthood but that was then, this is now. Now she is ready to fight and confesses the feelings still run deep. Then she reaches out and touches his cheek. Eric is not unaffected … THE END Ahead on DAYS: CATFIGHT! Sonny gets a proposition. Eric and Serena relive their past ... |
