At the decadently decorated house of Kiriakis colorful Maggie wonders where the guests are. Victor roguishly informs her that before they come - later - he has a surprise in store … At the club, Roman and Marlena have spoken with Sami on the phone. Her daughter wanted Santa to stop at Rodeo Drive. Roman is relieved Lucas is also with his daughter in L.A. Marlena muses at least Will is finally home where he belongs – with his Sonny! Meanwhile, Sonny is on his phone insisting the club be ready fast cos he put every last dime into that place of his dreams … Will is on his phone promising the Sonics boss he will be able to break down that wall around Paul if only they give him more time … Eric admires the flowers in Serena’s room. She tells him that orchid was from Nicole. His poinsettia pales in comparison … Nicole marches up to Dan’s apartment and vows she will not let Mel ruin her merry Christmas. She knocks and Mel answers as Dan and Parker play inside. Mel storms out and gets sarcastic, taunting tis the season beech! …. Aiden and Hope kiss by the punch at Horton house. Doug and glam Julie arrive and JJ and Jen graciously greet them. Julie cannot wait to meet his lovely new girlfriend. JJ gets glum … Eve cannot forget her tawdry affair with JJ and sips some wine. She fears Paige knows what she did and says so out loud. Paige walks inside the apartment and confirms she knows. How could she … Serena has told Eric the tale of Nicole snooping. She is not fussed. He insists he will not be thwarted by Nicole and is officially moving on … Nicole accuses Mel of trash talking her. She denies it, explains Serena stated her story checked out and Nicole pushes her way in. Dan gives her a happy hug … At the pub Caroline admires Theresa’s needlepoint gift. Tis a bookmark for Caroline’s bible. They hug. Kayla stands with her son Joe and cannot help but notice Theresa has a nice side. Sometimes … Maggie has gotten a gift from her Greek tycoon that makes her get choked up. Tis a Santa figurine from the family that Alice gave her years ago. But then it was broken to bits. Victor had it put back together again. He suavely states some things are indeed irreplaceable and vows not to lose his redhead again. They share a kiss as Brady admires their display of affection … Paige snaps Eve misled her about Shane’s state … JJ laments that Paige might be moving to LA for good. Jen and Abigail are surprised but JJ refuses to discuss…. Hope and Aiden snuggle at the fireplace. Ciara bets Chase five dollars they will kiss under the mistletoe and shows curious Chase where the mysterious mistletoe is ... Abi excitedly opens the Horton door to flower bearing Ben and they kiss under the mistletoe. Ciara and Chase are watching and so a bet is born … Nicole gives Mel a fruitcake as a present. Mel gives her a silly gift right back. Dan cordially invites Nicole to join them chez Maggie. Nicole politely says no thanks as their first date should not be at Victor’s house. Dan drawls they can keep celebrating when they get home. She eagerly agrees … Will has gotten his extension. Sonny comes home, promises not to pry about his secret article, and Will asks how the new club is going. Very well. Sonny adds he put T in charge tonight so they have Christmas Eve to themselves. Will stops him from continuing … At the pub, Theresa offers to make hot chocolate. Kayla approaches, approving of her sweet side. It is nothing like the story she heard of Anne and Theresa trying to cost Mel her job. Mel is a great gal and they can be pals! Theresa gets tense at the very mention of Mel’s name … Brady tells Maggie and Victor that it is tough getting something for the people who have it all. They are just grateful he has kept himself clean. Adrienne arrives, a vision in white, and wonders about Will and Sonny. Are they there yet? … Back at the apartment Will worriedly laments both families want cranky Ari with the cold but how to do it? Sonny smoothly states they can divide their time between their two families and meet up in the middle for midnight mass. Will breathes a sigh of relief. He now lets Sonny know he has realized he was wrong cos keeping a half truth is sometimes as bad as a lie. He should have told Sonny the truth about why he had to come home. Sonny remembers making a money transfer from their account and goes silent. Will promises they will overcome. Sonny soap stares … Eve argues she just wanted to keep her daughter away from JJ cos he hurt her. Paige pouts and wants to forgive her cos she has a secret of her own to spill. She and JJ might just be on their way to a reconciliation. Eve slyly wonders whether he knows she is in town yet … At Horton house, Jen wishes JJ and Paige would at least be pals, to support one another. She suggests he call and wish her a Merry Christmas. JJ goes out to do some soul searching … Doug entertains Chase and Ciara with his own version of a Christmas story … Julie tries to spread her thoughts on yoga and Zen to Aiden and Ben and Abigail. Jen jokes to Hope at least there is no bloodshed. Glittery Hope thinks this is a far cry from her last lonely holiday. Good things lie ahead for all. The cousins share a heartfelt hug … Nicole is chez Dan and decides to surprise the Jonas clan … she searches for Christmas cookies in the recipe book … At the square, Dan ask Mel not to antagonize Theresa this Christmas … Meanwhile Kayla asks Theresa not to antagonize Mel … Serena, Eric, Abe, Theo, Marlena and Roman arrive at the pub with fanfare. Joey asks who Serena is and Eric smiles she is his … friend … Dan, Parker, and Mel are now at the house of Kiriakis. Brady warmly greets the gang. Sonny arrives and Adrienne asks about Will and Ari. Sonny updates her on the plan to share Ari and meet in the middle for mass. He cannot help but notice his mom is not her usually jolly self … Dan has an announcement to make about Victor the godfather. Brady continues. The local priest in his old Greek village told them his mother went nowhere without her beloved … The Greek quips her BIBLE. He hated it and then missed it along with her. Brady now presents him with a very special gift. Tis the bible. Victor is astonished. The bible was sold with the estate to pay for his late father’s debts and was untraceable after that. Tis nothing short of a miracle. Brady boasts just like he taught him, nothing is impossible in this life. Sonny smiles. They all do as the much moved Mediterranean opens the gift that managed to find its way back to him via his dedicated descendants. He reads the inscription from his grandmother. Love bears all things … Mel praises Brady for what he did for his granddad. Brady breathes he owed him. She notes she owes him too for saving her from the casino scoundrels and then some. Brady admits he is still angry with Theresa. Mel muses she is not even worth thinking about …Theresa takes her leave from the Brady pub gathering. Will thanks Serena for saying nice things about his writing as he holds Ari … Dan and Mel and Parker depart from the house of Kiriakis. Mel will catch up with them later, claiming she has gifts to buy. Dan calls her the greatest gift and they share a family hug … Back at Horton house, Jen saves the guests from Julie and her Zen talk. Julie approves of Ben … Hope teases Aiden about Julie wanting him to do yoga and he takes her by the hand … Ciara has been scheming with Doug … Aiden and Hope kiss. Doug claims Julie wants their photo and gets the pair to pose under the mistletoe. Ciara insists they kiss now that they are standing under mistletoe so they oblige. Ciara high fives Doug and Chase pays up, having lost the 5 dollar mistletoe bet. Aiden is amused. Hope hopes kissing her in the presence of her pop was not too awkward. He drawls he would go through a thousand awkward moments for her … JJ sits alone at the snowy dark park, muttering to himself that he should never see Paige again …. Paige admits she was waiting to talk to JJ face to face to fix things. Eve feels badly and places her hand on her heart. Paige insists tomorrow she tells JJ the whole truth! She warns her mother nothing will come between her and her guy. Eve has no reply to that … Kayla buttons little Joey’s coat outside the pub. She spies Marlena and asks about John. The radiant blonde admits she only knows he is somewhere in Europe and seems to have given up …If only she knew! Salemites are on their way to midnight mass … Brady decides to go on a walk by himself first … Dan and Parker come home to Nicole and her colorful Christmas cookies. She makes fun of Dan’s store bought biscuits. He makes fun of not knowing she could bake. She teases it is their Christmas miracle … Abi and Ben share a goodnight kiss outside Horton door … Kayla nervously notices new couple Hope and Aiden at the square. He goes to check up on their kids. Kayla appears concerned they are a couple and seems about to tell Hope but Abe and Theo interrupt the conversation with good cheer … Paige has a Christmas gift ready for JJ at home. But JJ is walking alone outside by the pub, staring at his phone picture of the girl he feels he already lost. He keeps on walking …Eve considers calling JJ to forewarn him, then tells herself that boy had better not cross her … Brady is surprised to find Mel sitting alone on a bench in the snowy park. They muse they had the same idea. He sits beside her and she giggles it is cold. He agrees it usually is come Christmas. Theresa emerges behind them and watches, her cat eyes widening … Brady admits this is not usually his favorite time of the year but right now it’s not so bad. Mel agrees and he drapes an arm around her. They star gaze and Theresa sadly steps back into the bushes. Brady gently urges Mel to make a wish ... Salemites are shown wishing one another a Merry Christmas as Hark the Herald Angels Sing is sung … Paige and Eve have their own little Christmas … JJ walks alone until Jen spies him at the square and hugs him. He dutifully kisses Maggie … Sonny meets up with Will and their little girl … Serena and Eric arrive, beholding the sight. They hold hands and walk after Marlena and Roman to midnight mass as Caroline forges on … Parker has milk and Christmas cookies with Dan and Nicole. Before heading to bed, he places the baby Jesus in his own bed in the nativity scene. Dan calls this Christmas and Nicole wipes a tear from her eye, turning off the lights.
