There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... At the town square, long distance caller Bree wants Hope to believe that being near Aiden is dangerous ...Maternal Maggie has cookies for Dan and Parker at his place. Pretty Mel is ever so happy to be home. Dan teases her about her latest drama … At the hospital Anne shows Theresa Mel’s application, which she presently has in her possession. Theresa wants something done against her new arch enemy, to keep her from getting her old job back. Anne has an idea … Eric pines over African photos and thoughts of Serena at his new apartment. Marlena arrives, having been summoned for his big news … Serena reintroduces herself to Kayla at the pub. Nicole pauses outside the window, peers in, and thinks she has seen her before ... Long distance caller Bree informs Hope she was the bff of Aiden’s late wife, Meredith. Hope could end up DEAD too … Nicole is watching thru the window until Brady appears beside her, breathing he needs her immediate assistance. He insists she come to the club with him … At the pub, Serena gets a phone call that makes the new redhead see red. She storms out … Maggie and Dan urge Mel to stay away from that trouble making Theresa … Meanwhile at the hospital Anne alludes to her unpleasant surprise in store for Melanie Jonas. Theresa is smug as a bug. Jen marches over to hand Anne her files back. She coldly warns Theresa not to try and mess with Mel again. She is going to start working here soon. Anne, however, is adamant her plan will work … Aiden stands before Hope. Bree deduces Aiden is back and abruptly ends the call. Hope covers to suspicious Aiden .... Eerie music plays... Aiden suddenly demands to know why Hope is LYING! Mel is planning on a great Christmas with Parker and tells him as much. She has lots of lavish presents for him to place under the beautifully decorated Jonas tree … Eric escorts Marlena into the pub, to meet someone special, only to discover she is gone. Marlena wonders who the mystery woman is. Kayla explains Serena Mason. Marlena smiles warmly … Serena storms all the way to the hospital and confronts Anne for assigning her a hospital basement office. NOT acceptable! Milbauer tries flex her HR power but Serena is no pushover! Theresa and Jen are watching … Hope tells Aiden there was a … strange call ... He soap stares and probes. Hope would rather discuss it later. Aiden has some legal documents to drop off and will meet her at the inn. Hope is intense, and denies anything is the matter … Mel has also left gifts galore for Dan. Maggie cannot help but giggle when she finds out Dan actually bought them himself … Marlena remembers meeting sweet smart Serena. It was at Central Park. She is surprised she and Eric remained in touch as he made no mention of it … Madame Milbauer is not budging on the basement office. Serena glares daggers and states there were stipulations in her agreement from the organization she is working with. It is an important organization, a big donator. Serena snaps she knows the hospital heavies and threatens to complain ... Milbauer mulls it over for a second or two and suddenly decides one office on the main floor is available after all. Serena thanks her and wants the key asap. Theresa mutters to the boss lady she sure hopes she will fare better with the other redheaded beech .. Brady is at the club with Nicole and worried about a key company playing dirty by publicizing his drug past. Nicole the reporter agrees to give the CEO she has dirt on a hard time. This is music to Brady’s ears … Hope gets to the inn and ignores Bree's call. Moments later Aiden arrives at their room and wants to know what happened ... Hope admits Bree called, that’s what happened and she advised her to avoid him … At the pub Eric drinks his coffee and updates Marlena on Serena's medical research in Salem for the next year. Marlena marvels they were so close once upon a time. She loves that Eric is smiling again … Nicole calls and threatens to expose the CEO’s sordid secrets. Brady is grateful. She gushes she would do anything for those she loves ... Jen chats with Serena, enthused she knows Eric. Serena gets called again, and is on the move … Aiden is angry that Bree, who lied about him in Portland, is still lying long distance. She believed everything Meredith said! Naturally her bff Bree blamed him for her untimely demise. At the funeral, she had even wished him dead instead! He laments now Hope believes her lies … Nicole shows up at Dan’s apartment bearing gifts. He explains Parker was just picked up by Chloe but is coming home for the holidays. Nicole is sorry she had no time to get Mel a present, then gasps that she and Mel both gave Dan the same gift box from Barron’s … At the hospital, Jen greets Mel. Brady comes around the corner and teases OH GOD … Serena has made it to the pub. Marlena is so happy to see her. She gets paged away but promises to provide her with a hospital tour soon. She smiles again and gets going. Serena whispers she wants to continue the candid conversation with Eric at his place! The fallen father puts his casual jacket on … Hope whispers she yearns to know Aiden's side of the story. She would believe HIM over Bree anyway ... Indignant Aiden starts to doubt whether Hope even knows him … Serena is back at Eric's place and remembers Africa when she sees familiar things. She wants him to finish his long story. Eric confirms he lost his calling ... She wonders how, cos he was so connected to the church ... Nicole panics that she and Dan bought him the same scarf! He has a solution … Eric confirms he can never be a priest. Serena asks him out for dinner. He uses the D word. DATE! She is hoping for an affirmative answer … Jen steps away so Brady and Mel cutely chatter. She is sorry about his cut lip and hates what happened. They share a warm hug. Theresa cannot believe what she is seeing … Hope insists Aiden is a good man but she had to ask him ... Aiden sulks he never asks her painful questions about Bo. He hangs his head and Hope decides they are done discussing Meredith. Aiden unhappily admits he cannot handle when stuff comes up and it always does. He sounds like he intends to do something but what? … Serena gets embarrassed, and starts to stammer Eric might already be in a relationship. He smiles there is no one and tenderly holds her shoulders. She wonders whether he has any feelings for her … Dan opens Nicole's gift first. He assures her he likes her choice of scarf better and puts it on. Nicole fixes and fusses with his scarf and they lock eyes ... Eric and Serena gaze at one another. Eric comes close to kissing her. Almost. Meanwhile Dan comes close to kissing Nicole. Almost. Brady excuses himself to a meeting. Mel grimaces at gawking Theresa. She now asks Anne for the next step in her return to nursing and when. Annie quips she can get started on the 12th of NEVER! Theresa smiles triumphantly. Mel’s face falls … Hope offers to never mention the past again but Aiden complains it will never go away. He starts to leave. Hope stops him with an impulsive KISS on the lips … THE END!
