These are my words. There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Rafe and Jordan lock eyes. She stands and states everything has already been said between them. But Rafe begs to differ. This concerns Clyde! Jordan claims Clyde is no concern of hers. Rafe needs the dastardly details about Clyde and his business dealings back in Poplar Bluff so he can save Jordan by bringing him down! She gets scared. He assures her no need to worry and he does owe her at least this much so Clyde will be dealt with! Jordan denies needing salvation. Rafe recognizes a damsel in distress and dramatically declares this time he will not let it end in tragedy the way things did for Gabi. This time he will not be stopped until he solves the problem! He marches off to begin the battle, ignoring her protests … Creepy Clyde meets his mountain man goon at the dark park and is hard on him for either sleeping on the job or stealing from him cos they are short of cash! The flunky drawls he was lying low. Clyde snarls he was sloppy and threatens he could wind up just like EJ! The big guy looks ready to cry. It seems the evil side of Clyde is legendary … Mistletoe Ben opens his door to mistletoe Abigail and they share a cute kiss. She presents him with a tiny tree and they get to the decorating. This is Ben’s first normal holiday in a while. Times were tough and the folks were not exactly stable. He asks about Abi’s Christmases. She calls the Horton tree decorating experience the event of the season! Ben strings his popcorn and Abigail explains there is plenty of room at the gatherings. All the family, dead and alive, feel together again. He realizes she is referring to her late father. She gulps yes. Ben praises her perfect family. Abi loves them too and wants to give back to the world. Ben lets her know how lucky she makes him feel and they kiss. Kate has been whisked to the Kiriakis mansion for an urgent meeting with Victor Kiriakis, who is home alone. Kate gets her glamorous guard up. The Greek grumbles about CHAD, the illustrious co-CEO. She suspects a leak on the board and refuses to divulge DiMera business. Victor warns this is a personal developing drama between Will and Sonny. Kate claims Chad is warm and fuzzy with both, including the baby. Vic growls his approach is vintage DiMera – screw over those closest to you! Chad the lad has changed. He is the newest RUTHLESS DiMera. Kate praises him for offering Sonny higher profits. The Greek gives her the paperwork that proves Chad set Sonny up. Kate reads the contract and wonders why Sonny overlooked the bottom line. Vic already lectured him and has gotten him a good lawyer. Kate suspects Chad may have not intended the implications of the clause. Victor wants her to wake up and smell the rotten coffee. Kate sighs it seems Stefano wants the family in control. Victor predicts the new club will fail and sighs Sonny got in this deep due to personal issues. He pours himself another drink and growls Sonny has not heeded his warnings. However, Kate should be ready cos an opportunity will soon arise, one which gives her the chance to turn those DiMera tables on Chad the cad! Adrienne greets Chad at the square and excitedly lets him know how much Sonny loves having his bff back in Salem. If only she knew! Meanwhile, phone Sonny wants to talk to phone Paul, who senses his discomfort and offers to meet him somewhere … Enter Will at the club holding baby Ari, all smiles! SURPRISE! Sonny goes silent on the phone. Paul is confused. Sonny? Sonny? Sonny replies he must go, hangs up, and happily holds baby Ari. Hubby Will is home to surprise him and they kiss in bliss. Sonny admits he missed them something awful. Will is hungry. Sonny offers to fix something. He happily hands Will their daughter back and stammers how long can he stay? He starts to worry he is leaving him for L.A. soon. Will reaches out and tenderly touches his face. He is NOT going back at all cos he could not take being away so they are finally home forever. Sonny smiles, his eyes shining … Paul is feeling sorry for himself in his room, remembering happier times with Sonny. He puts his shirt on with determination, then throws open his door, only to come face to face with his worst nightmare … Adrienne sits at a table with Chad and asks him all about being back. He casually claims to be in Salem to see loved ones and is happy for Abigail and her new nice guy Ben. Adrienne knows Chad has a new sweetheart. He does indeed. Jordan. She notes her brother is seeing Abigail. Chad smoothly changes the subject to Sonny’s hard work on the south side club. He hopes Sonny will show her around the site sometime. Adrienne goes on her clueless cheery way and Chad frowns after her, downing his drink, his demeanor sinister. He pays the bill and spies Jordan rushing past. He jumps up and follows her to the town gate. What has her rattled? She feigns fatigue and excuses herself. Chad plays the hero, offering to help. Jordan pauses. He deduces it was Detective Rafe who got her rattled again! She would rather not discuss Rafe or Clyde for that matter and starts to go, stammering he already ended their date. Chad grabs her in a passionate kiss. Jordan melts like he knew she would ... The mountain man promises to do as Clyde asks though he will have to hire a local. Clyde drawls to just get the job done or else … Rafe shows up at Victor’s mansion, seeking the scoop on the new creep in town. He requires intel. Victor wonders why he should care. Cos said creep is hooking up with Kate! Victor chuckles about country Clyde. Rafe sips his drink and admits it is personal. He senses Jordan needs protecting from her sinister stepfather. That is where Victor and his unique contacts come in. Victor thinks it is a crying shame Kate got away with breaking up Rafe and Jordan, disagreeing with Rafe’s view that he was the one at fault … Kate joins Clyde at the pub and he asks about her meeting. She sighs it did not go smoothly but does not elaborate. He hopes to heeeeelp. He also misses her and invites her back to his bed. She would love to but has an early morning conference call. Another time … He hopes Jordan busting in the way she did did not put a damper on their blossoming romance. Kate slyly eyes him and asks if what she overheard is true, that Jordan went and pulled a gun on him … Will has finished as much of the sandwich as he can at the table and admits to Sonny he hated Hollywood and he hated being so far away with the baby. Just then Adrienne enters, elated Will is home. So is Sonny. Preppy Will pleasantly steps outside to call Sami as promised. Outside he apparently gets into a heated discussion, urging her not to go to war with the studio, who FIRED him! It would be bad for his professional reputation … Inside Sonny is beaming. Adrienne finds the timing of Will’s return too coincidental. Sonny whispers Will does not need to know about Paul. Adrienne did not mean that. She was referring to the new club. Chad told her all about it. Does Will know about it yet? Sonny pours some wine. Will walks back in and teases is he hiding something? Adrienne spills the beans about the south side club and Sonny snaps at her. Then he apologizes and sees her to the door. He mutters he made some mistakes with the new club but he will figure it out. Adrienne is sorry and hugs him. Abigail finishes the tree decorating and updates Ben on her early morning making calls for funding, which is why she must head home soon. Funding for a cause has never been harder. Ben points out the charitable project already received a big anonymous donation … Paul has opened his door. There stands tabloid editor Zoe, who tracked him down. She knows all about his surgery and states she will keep it a secret. But in return, she gets the exclusive. That’s the deal. Paul soap stares. He sighs about her shakedown. She suggests he run with one story which he can control cos this stuff is going to go public whether he likes it or not. Paul points out Sonics is not a sports magazine. No matter. Sports is not the big story here. She will await his call. Paul stops her. There is one more thing … Will is surprised by a call from Zoe, who is surprised he is back in Salem so soon. She hopes he is available cos she has a big story for him to cover … Victor agrees to get the goods on Clyde for Rafe and makes a deal with the detective to keep an eye on Chad for him. The game is afoot! The Greek later makes a call to a seedy associate to look into the name Clyde Weston. His deep dark past is about to be uncovered … … Clyde confesses to Kate his kids have lots of reasons to have rage toward him but he is changing for the better. Kate coos she likes him best the way he is and finishes her martini. They stand up and she waltzes out, agreeing to see him soooooon … Chad and Jordan disrobe in her dimly lit room and kiss on the bed, ignoring the shadows around them ... Paul is loud and agitated on his phone in Japanese, then switches to English. He has no choice but to give the interview so as to control what gets written … Will eagerly agrees to take the job he has just been offered and will check in with Zoe tomorrow. He puts away his phone. Sonny returns and they are both ready to head home. Will holds him close and gushes he loves him so much. Sonny smiles. Tis the calm before the STORM! THE END Ahead on DAYS: Should Hope be worried?! Kate forewarns Chad. JJ is ready for therapy but is therapy ready for him! |
