There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... - Ben continues to beat on Rafe, raging he is a bastard for hurting his sister! Jordan and Abigail finally get him off. Rafe is doubled over and Jordan crouches down with him. Why did he not defend himself? Rafe gasps he had that coming ... but he loves her still. He talks forgiveness. Ben starts to rage but Abigail stops him. Jordan advises Abigail to calm Ben down. Then she goes off with Rafe. Paige is with Eve at the club. The girl informs her that Kevin the diner waiter they knew from Florida is in Salem, saying he is Ben. JJ just confirmed it. Paige wonders why the lying. Eve exclaims that is what men do. They LIE. Paige pouts not JJ. Eve agrees he may be honest but his daddy sure stole her nest egg from her so he owes her now! Paige thinks JJ would never do such a thing. Eve hopes not cos she deserves better than a broken heart! Paige sips her drink and notes her mom is in a foul mood. Eve admits the judge is ruling on the summary judgment of Jen today. She needs Jen’s attempt to thwart the trial to fail and tries to be upbeat. *** At Horton house, suited attorney Aiden hopes Jen can get ready and he promises to be there, then closes the door. She informs curious JJ the judge is ready to rule. The inconvenient case could go away for good! JJ seems to have his doubts it will be so easy At DiMera mansion, Kate hopes Sam did not change her mind about EJ. Sami sadly states she may have pushed him away to Abigail and if she pushes again, that is it! She recalls how EJ got her off when she shot Bernardi and then he helped them out with the Nick incident, plus he is a wonderful parent. EJ grins outside the door. Kate would like to know whether Sami would ever actually forgive him. Perhaps. Outside the door, EJ gets a text he cannot ignore and heads out the front entrance. Sami is staring at the photo of her and EJ in happy days. Kate suggests she stare at the photo of EJ with Abigail instead! Sami cries she might be to blame. Kate warns her not to forget the past. He made a complete fool of her! Does she want to act like a pathetic woman?! … Outside EJ gets confirmation that the SHIPMENT has arrived. He intends to approve the distribution as soon as he has the name of one of Kiriakis’ men. Back inside, Sami notes Kate does not even like her so why should she listen? Kate does not want her to forget the past and the fact that she is now a businesswoman. Perfumed powers don’t grovel. Sami sighs they were happy once … Kate reminds her that her Romeo kidnapped Sydney and pretended she was dead. If she forgives him again, he will only come up with a new way to break her heart! Nicole nervously waits in the garden outside. Inside Eric gasps the cardinal’s announcement means much. The clever cardinal notes he did not answer his question about returning to the priesthood. Yay or nay? Pause. Eric is aware it is a calling. He felt the strong pull once upon a time! And now? Eric remembers his tough time in Africa, the selfless priest who inspired him to go to church. It gave him comfort as did the sacrament. He felt compelled to be of service and continues to believe in the will of God … Eric is evidently overwhelmed. The cardinal calls this an important decision. Eric suddenly gasps he hates Nicole and cries he cannot forgive her! His voice shaking with emotion, he confesses he wants her! Outside, Nicole concedes defeat to a smooth white statue of the Virgin Mary. Inside Eric gasps he does not feel joy about devoting himself to the priesthood. He suffers from LUST and he seeks a sign. The cardinal patiently points out his sign has already appeared to him … He will pray for him and the decision he has made on this day. Exit Eric ... JJ comes to see Paige at the apartment. Eve has gone ahead to the hearing. JJ regrets the whole mess and understands her mom is after the money to send her to Stanford. If she wants to go, he will support her happiness. Paige urges him to just be honest with her. Always. He always will and he loves her. She feels the same way. JJ gets a text .He has to go home to register for classes on his computer. Paige pushes him to meet the deadline and sends him on his way after a sweet kiss. Once alone, she gets to thinking. Aiden argues to the judge that it is all vague and Jack’s signature seems different. He therefore seeks a dismissal with prejudice towards the plaintiff. Eve waits with bated breath. The stern lady judge announces she has a decision. The trial is ON. Jen pouts. Aiden sits silently. Eve smiles, seated next to her less slick lawyer. The judge came close and warns Eve that her case is a weak one. It will not be easy. Court dismissed! Aiden apologizes. Jen gasps she appreciates his fine effort. The two lawyers confer. Eve approaches. Jen hisses and refuses to settle. Eve smugly mentions the kids. Jen suspects she will be underhanded again and is done with any kind of settlement offer. She missed her chance. Eve warns JJ will grow to hate her as the trial that makes his girlfriend unhappy drags on … Rafe sits with Jordan at the pub as she dabs at his scrapes on his face. The fallen hero hopes to explain, not excuse. He was at a bad place and felt to blame for what happened to his sister. Jordan snaps so he slept with a woman who hates her. Rafe admits he had too much to drink and felt he did not even deserve Jordan! Jordan cannot forgive her broody once boyfriend for that. He adds falling in love with her was the best thing that ever happened to him. She hoarsely laments she loved him after all her trust issues. Rafe loves her too and sighs he was a fool to risk their relationship. She exclaims he did not risk it, he totally ruined it! She should have known and concludes it was the doing of Kate. Rafe does not believe it but Jordan insists Kate must have told Sami, who told her. Sami has been giving her endless dirty looks. She is Kate’s minion and was out to ruin them! *** At the park, Ben trashes Rafe for cheating and Kate for sleeping with a taken guy. Abigail sorrowfully states she did that to Sami. Ben did not intend to … She sniffles and sits down, sighing what she did to Sami was equally hateful. Ben thinks Sami has no right to judge Abigail, who is better than anyone. But the girl pulls her hand away when he tries to take it and gasps his violent outburst just now frightened her! Ben is sorry. He grew up having to bear witness to a man mistreating his woman. His docile mama never knew what would make creepy Clyde explode. He and Jordan tried to intervene, which was when he started beating on Jordan too. Abigail is aghast. Ben notes his dastardly da hides his temper well and now wonders whether they are very different as far as the hot tempers go … EJ greets reading Kate at the mansion, and pleasantly requests some alone time with Sami. Exit smug Kate. EJ now sits and takes his beloved by the hand. This has been a terrible time, though he is aware … Sami pulls away and stands up. DON’T TOUCH ME! She then starts to throw fragile things at the hopeful husband. He ducks as the china breaks and does not comprehend. She screams if he touches her again, she will file a restraining order! By the time the board finds out what he did, they will not care cos she and Kate will have made millions! Kate glides back in and announces the children are home. Sydney is requesting her. Sami storms out. EJ demands to know WOT Kate said to his wife. Kate smiles like an alley cat. She plays innocent. EJ snaps Samantha was about to forgive him. She begs to differ and kicks the broken china. claiming it is all he has left of Sami. She gets sarcastic about him losing his dignity. EJ leers he will make her sorry for wot she did and she will not even see it coming! At the apartment, Eve updates Paige. Jenny was shut down! Paige wonders why the long face. Cos the case could be tough on their end. Paige is worried and has a suggestion on how to help…. At Horton house updo Jen updates JJ. She is sympathetic about the uncomfortable situation and suggests it will pass after Paige is gone from Salem. The distance between them could be a good thing. After all, they are only 18 years old. JJ soap stares. Eric has walked out to the garden. Nicole innocently asks all about it. Is he IN? She spies his suitcase and wonders whether he is being sent somewhere. He mutters he is headed home. To St Luke’s? He now announces he is NOT returning to the priesthood! Eve wrongly assumes her daughter the genius got JJ to make Jen pay up! Paige is not sure what to say when her mother hugs her in gratitude. *** At Horton house, JJ pouts as Jen reminds him there are other girls but Romeo loves only Paige and shouts it out loud! Abigail takes big Ben by the hand and tells him he is nothing like his father. He wanted to protect a woman, not hurt her. That makes him the opposite of creepy Clyde. Ben thanks her and they kiss. He sighs about the crazy in their lives. She sweetly suggests he refrain from reacting with such rage in the future. Agreed. Abigail coyly adds they can have their uncrazy time … Rafe reminds Jordan how crazy he is about her and gives her a smoldering look. He notes naturally Kate knows! The fling was his fault … Jordan is jealous that he continues to defend Kate! Rafe insists he only has eyes for her. Overly sensitive Jordan gasps she should have left town a long time ago. She cries and runs out. Rafe is unable to stop her and she slams the door behind herself. Sami realizes EJ has gone. She informs Kate she told him there would be no forgiveness from her. Kate approves. Girl power! Sami now wonders what comes after their revenge. Super rich and happy. Kate is convinced she will like being in that place. Sami nods. *** Near the town square, EJ meets a wise guy who has been referred by Victor Kiriakis. New boss EJ intends to raise the price for profits. The wise guy questions how that is gonna fly. EJ boasts they happen to be the only game in town and tells him to get to it! He stares darkly. The wise guy goes. *** Nicole assumes Eric lost and wants to go confront the cardinal. Eric gasps the cardinal considers him innocent. However, he has decided he is done with the priesthood. Nicole is caught off guard. This is more than she had dared to hope ... THE END!
