There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... At the pub, Theresa reads about the Kristen chaos online and decides to call billionaire heir Brady. Eve sweeps in. Theresa taunts her sister for selecting this cheap place. Eve demands she reach out to Paige. Theresa gets sarcastic about mama not liking what the girl wants to do with her life and enjoys her breakfast. Eve announces she needs her help and reminds the petulant princess she is keeping her secret about what went down with John and Brady. Theresa the terrible leers she does not know a thing. Eve sweetly threatens to tell the po-lice what she thinks she knows. Theresa agrees to do as told and hisses she hates her … At the town square, Paige’s pal Mary Beth is dismal about her staying at Salem U for JJ the loser. Paige defends her hero. Her pal points out bad boys don’t change. Paige now gets a text from her mama, summoning her ...She ignores the buttinsky buddy and heads home. Hope and Jen are at Horton house having tea as they discuss the Dan drama. JJ suggests his mom check on her wounded warrior at the hospital. She already saw him! Hope asks about her date. This is the first JJ has heard of any date. She never said she had a … date. Ding dong! Jen stammers it was not really a date and opens the door to Aiden. JJ does the math and makes a face. Jen bids Aiden enter and explains she must speak with JJ outside for a brief moment. Out on the front porch, she points out she and Aiden are only friends. JJ gets it and realizes she still loves Daniel. Jen sadly states he does not wish to see her. JJ finds the impasse frustrating and wishes happiness for his mother. She is grateful and he gives her a bear hug. He will be meeting Paige soon and laments her mom is still not a supporter... Aiden steps into the living room and Hope casts him a strange look from the sofa. He has high praise for Dan and his big citizen’s arrest. It seems they have some things in common as well. Hope makes a snide remark about that. At the park, Abigail comes upon shirtless buff Ben, who was there to work out. She liiiiikes it! Ben stops to admire the baby and the girl. They decide they are good. He hopes to hang out with them both. The fair Abigail gushes and blushes in agreement … Will is back from the gym. Sonny could not help but notice he was conveniently MIA when Abigail came by for the baby. Will denies it. Sonny suspects he could not face the girl he wrote about, in spite of keeping her name out of the scandal. Will felt he had to write the story. Sonny asks about Sami. Much to his astonishment, Will claims not to care that she is enraged. Sonny sits at the kitchen table with him as Will eats his breakfast. He feels Sami is full of hot air. Sonny explains he is on his side … until a certain point. He still believes Sami deserved a forewarning. Will snaps too late, the online edition is probably being uploaded as they speak! He gets glum about Sonny only supporting him to a point ... At the mansion, colorful Sami has made arrangements for the kids at a fun sleep-over camp. Colorful Kate cackles when Sami sighs she does not want them to be here when things get even crazier. Enter the EJ and he bids the ladies a good morning, wondering about their scheming. Kate rubs in the Kristen arrest. EJ insists he is not her attorney. She is out of his life! Sami gets sarcastic about his so-called word. Besides, she and Kate have work to do to. EJ heads out for a morning run, after solemnly reminding Kate of wot he told her. Sami wonders. Kate munches more fruit and sighs it was about Stefano wanting to kill them. Sami starts to worry. Kate thinks it is all hot air. She knows the signs of a Stefano hit. Besides, he would have to answer to the kids about having their mother and a grandma offed. She would rather talk business. Sami eats her own breakfast and complains the truth and nothing but is coming out in a scandalous article. Kate wants to know who the writer was. She is out for blood! Paige’s pal catches up with Eve and speaks negatively of Paige passing up Stanford for loser JJ. Eve feels it is not necessarily final. She now spies Rory nearby at the square with JJ and the pal pokes fun at his long hair … Rowdy Rory wants to party hearty for the ages before college and tries without success to get JJ to join him. Eve marches up and smiles she would like a few with JJ. Rory exits. Eve accuses JJ of putting pressure on Paige. He explains it was her decision, not his. She suggests he is like papa Jack. He starts to lose his cool. She pats his face and warns him not to make her mad. She is trying to like him ... Paige gets home to the apartment. But her mother is not waiting. Instead, Theresa the terrible knocks at the door. She makes nice and gives her a gift from Shane, supposedly. Tis a Stanford shirt. Auntie Theresa utterly overwhelms the pretty girl and teases she knows JJ, the guy she is dating, verrrrrrry well. Paige is not interested. Auntie exclaims she is elated for her. Paige pauses. Theresa acts like a party girl who is happy JJ the party dude has a new girl. She argues their moms are former party girls and that is why her mom does not want her hanging with a party boy like JJ. But if they get themselves arrested in Tijuana, she should call her! Then she goes with a giggle. Paige ponders. Ben has a pink balloon for the sleeping baby. Abigail ties it to the stroller and the now shirted Ben grabs her in a hot kiss on the bench. The balloon blows away and they continue kissing. Jogging EJ stops and stares. Abigail gasps his name and stands up with a start. The breathless DiMera apologizes for the interruption and acts cordial with the couple. Ben is less friendly. Abigail suggests they take a walk. EJ asks her to wait. She turns and soap stares. EJ is sorry for Samantha causing trouble for the girl and announces she did nothing wrong, was not the one at fault. He assures the young couple he is happy to see her happily moving on and jogs away. Belligerent Ben hopes Abigail appreciates he did not knock him out! Abigail smiles at the notion of two bucks battling over her... Will woefully approaches Sonny in the living room and lists all the sacrifices he has made for him. He regrets losing his cool. Sonny muses married couples do fight. They kiss and compliment each other. Sonny assures him he does support him, but is fearful of the fallout. They wonder why the article is taking so long. Might Sami have done something? Kate purrs she will sue the writer and starts to call the lawyers. Sami stops her and states the story is all true. Kate cares not and wants to ruin the writer’s life. What was included? Sami sighs everything, including their tricks with the board. Kate wonders who would have known such a thing and used it to bring her down? Sami cries it was her own son Will! Will was angry with her attack on Abigail. Kate applies her mascara and realizes his takeover questions were really for the article! Sami spits out the name of the magazine and Kate asks when does it appear? Too soon. The horrible highlights go online today … Kate panics about the board. They agree to make some calls and do damage control. Kate now realizes Stefano might take a hit out on them for real if this all goes public. She leaves Sami alone to consider. Sami gets even more stressed than she already was. Jen in the demure white dress returns to her guests. Aiden senses tension in the air and excuses himself. Hope pouts. Jen wonders what the problem is. Jealous Hope gushes about Aiden and Jen dating. Jen denies it. Them having dinner as friends is no date. She teases it bothered Hope, then gets dismal about disinterested Dan. But work calls for one and awaits for the other. Hope must get back to the station. The cousins agree to catch up later and Hope pleasantly departs. Sami calls Shin and tells him about the article. He seeks assurance that Sami and EJ are not having any scandalous problems and are back on track. Certain associates could pose a problem if not … Sami insists they reconciled. Shin is more interested in the big profits continuing to pour in. Sami promises those will continue … Meanwhile Will gets off the phone and explains to Sonny that they are making some changes, hence the delay in his story going public. Sonny cannot shake his bad feeling … Knock knock! Tis diva Kate, who purrs she loves and also would love to strangle Will! She demands answers. The mess he has made will need mega damage control. And how could he be so deceitful and dishonest! Will snaps she should have expected it after all the years he bore witness to her and his parents' schemes! Sonny watches the scene silently in the background. Sami sadly stares at the computer pictures of her children and gasps she misses them. Enter EJ the now shirtless jogger. He is here for his wata only. But Sami needs to talk. He gets sarcastic and drinks his water straight from the bottle. Sami stammers it is about the kids. They should let them go off to an overnight camp. They really want to go. EJ agrees and asks wot the plan is. When the kids return, must he be gone? Sami now denies wanting him gone. She pretends to be busy with a file and airily states he has distanced himself from Kristen. But EJ is no fool. He asks wot has changed. Sami gets flustered, by both his nearness and his ability to see right through her … Hope pushes back her long brown hair outside the pub and comes up behind Aiden and his briefcase. She calls it strange that she suspected him of being on a date with Jen. He replies she had to cancel due to the Kristen drama and insists it was not a real date. He has noooo idea what gave her that impression. Hope, however, knows better, and smiles a sultry smile, raising an eyebrow. At the square, Rory gushes about Eve, the hot mama who acted like she liked him JJ laments she sure hates HIM … Eve gets home and Paige wants to know whether she arranged for that odd Auntie Theresa to come talk to her … Abigail and Ben will not let EJ ruin their mood and get back to kissing in the bright and sunny park … Sonny tells Will he is being too hard on Kate. Kate sighs Will is right. But she never set out to harm her loved ones. Will questions that, for the end result with her and Sami is usually the same. He assures Kate he loves her. Kate notes the apple does not fall far from the tree and waltzes out, her head held high, her eyes filled with sorrow. Sonny gives Will a tender, supportive embrace. He is looking out for him ... Sami stammers nothing has changed. Shirtless EJ repeats, as he explained to Kate, he wonts only to protect HER. She quietly wonders whether he spoke to Will about anything. He did indeed and found him reasonable when he told him his side of the story. Sami acts busy with work, realizing EJ too was duped. EJ apologizes for the interruption, then mutters to himself something is amiss. He knows her only too well and is still looking out for her ...
