There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Abigail is working the phone at the square, again job hunting. She is asked for a reference from the hospital and ends the call. All of a sudden a dark shadow covers her. Tis crafty country Clyde! He asks to join her. Abigail agrees. Clyde wants to converse about his conflict with his boy Ben. He confesses he was a dreadful da who drove away his kids and how it haunts him! Abigail blinks. Daddy praises the girl for making Ben happy cos he deserves it! Abigail nods. But she and Ben are moving slow, says she. Clyde calls her smart. However, he has witnessed how she feels about him. He assures her his kids have the right to their rage where he is concerned. He even went to a shrink on his quest for enlightenment and came to realize his children owe him nothing. He is still hoping for forgiveness one day and cordially thanks her for her time. Then he walks away. Abigail sighs uncertainly. Jordan invites Ben for a bite to eat after work. He claims he has to close the club tonight and asks about Rafe. She does not wish to see him! He assures her she will overcome, unless deep down she longs to take him back. She admits she has been obsessing like a tormented teen. Ben suggests speaking with a friend. Jordan sighs but Rafe was her bff! She now asks about Clyde. Ben has not heard from him lately. With any luck, he has left forever. She now gets back to obsessing over shutting Rafe out for so long. Ben suspects she wants him back. She emotionally cries she does still looooooove him! Rafe has summoned Kate to the pub to question her, whether she really wants him to be back with Jordan. Kate innocently insists she has been a true friend to Rafe is all and has nothing against Jordan. Rafe doubts she would do what she did with Stefano for a simple friend. Kate admits Stefano is dangerous but she was simply stepping up for a friend and used his situation as an excuse to go after the phoenix. She reminds Rafe she was the one who dropped him and absolutely approves that he found someone. The lonely guy toys with his beer and grumbles he thought he had. But now she wants him to stay away! Kate purrs she is no threat to their relationship. She touches Rafe’s hand and whispers she was happy for him, now plays up her sympathy. Rafe touches her hand back and earnestly assures his friend he will not hold her responsible for the rift between himself and Jordan. Kate is relieved. Rafe sips his ale. Kate promises to keep her distance and reminds Rafe she is here for him. They embrace and he goes out the door with a grin. She raises her martini in salute. Things seem to be going the glamour girl’s way – until Clyde comes up behind her and remarks that was Jordan’s Romeo ... Sonny returns home and asks about the editor’s response. Will proudly points out she loved the scandalous story which is about to be published. He has a bottle of champagne. Sonny has a question. Is he forewarning Sami? Will thinks she will get over it. Besides this story is true and Sami deserves no forewarning. He now informs stunned Sonny that Sami even lied to HIS mom that Justin had cheated. Will gives him the gory details. Sonny is aghast and tries to understand. Will just wants his mom to have a wakeup call and this article is just that! Maybe when her own drama hits the stands, she will have less time to wreak havoc with her revenge and will leave everyone alone. He hopes so. However, Will is hoping for an awful lot … At the mansion, Sami reminds EJ of the restraining order and harasses him for helping Kristen. He refuses to play the apologist and wants a chance to speak as she hurls insult after insult in his DiMera direction. He reasons he rejected Kristen’s plea for help. He would rather see justice! Sami gets sarcastic. EJ admits he was loyal to her before and was not deserving. But now is different. Now the sinister sister is DEAD to him. Sami is not so sure. He has lied and lied before and she sadly states she does not know him. He snaps to LOOK AT HIM. He speaks only the truth! She peers at him with her reddened baby blues. Brady is shocked to learn from Marlena that the police presently have Kristen in custody! Brady pauses. Marlena updates him on Daniel being kidnapped, his triumphant turning of the tables. Brady gasps how long has she been at the station? Since tonight. He storms of for a showdown with the BITCH! Before long, cowboy Brady bursts into the station demanding to see the prisoner. Marlena is unable to stop him. Brady informs the cop on duty he must see her NOW! No luck. He sarcastically demands to be taken to the DiMera wing! Marlena pulls him aside and points out he is playing into Kristen’s hands. Her only agenda, as admitted to abducted Dan, is to see him, and he is about to give her that chance, play right into her hands. Brady considers. Captive Kristen calls father phoenix and sighs she has a problem. She informs unseen unheard Stefano she is aware of his problems too and offers her help as the burly cop continues to guard her door. She sighs to father how she wound up in Salem and complains about the doctor he apparently praises for saving Chad. Never mind Dr. Do right Dan. The mistress of madness is even angrier at EJ, who betrayed her! And the rules are clear on a DiMera betraying a DiMera. The punishment cometh! Sami gets sarcastic. EJ reminds her of the risk of a DiMera betraying a DiMera. Sami refuses to forgive him. He insists he be allowed to remain at the mansion for the sake of the children. Few people in Salem know wot happened between them but the board members and the whole world will find out if she boots him out of his home. It would not bode well for her! Kristen is under arrest and the old boys will not approve of Sami’s scandal. They could start pulling money out. Sami acts like she cares not and warns him she can still hurt him He sadly states she does hurt him whenever she turns away from him. He assures her he is on her side here. She growls not to use the kids against her or get in league with his sister again and walks away. EJ tries to appreciate the small step but alas that is all it is. A small step. Sonny makes a champagne toast to his talented hubby. Will toasts him right back. Sonny is concerned Will’s family will go berserk over his article. Will is not worried. At least his story will offer another perspective, to combat Sami’s self-absorbed view. With any luck, there could be national coverage! He gushes he is still green to the world of writing. Sonny solemnly states he took the chance he was given and succeeded. He now toasts his hubby the writer and they kiss in bliss. Sami is on the phone with Shin, who wants a word with EJ. Sami pretends he is not home. EJ loudly exclaims he has arrived home and gets the phone from dahling, who pouts. He engages in personal talk with Shin and oozes charm. He drawls he could not agree MO with the board member. He adds he too is all for fresh blood at the top and calls his wife smart, accomplished, and beautiful. WOT? No, that was the brainchild of Samantha as well as Kate. He promises to pass on Shin’s well wishes to fatha and ends the call. EJ now gets cocky about how smoothly it went. Sami is still mad and lets him know. EJ in turn lets her knows she is playing a DANGEROUS game. But Sami is no longer listening … Ben senses Jordan wants to go to Rafe instead of get over him. She remains torn. He advises her to go see him … Meanwhile jogging Rafe is elated to get the news of Kristen DiMera being locked up. Before he hangs up his phone, he promises to be in after he gets the report. Then he starts to obsess over Jordan, her special brand of therapy when he was shirtless once upon a seductive time. He sighs and shakes his handsome rugged head. Clyde purposely mispronounces Rafe’s name as RAF and notes he and Kate are pals. Kate corrects him on the name. He drawls she did the right thing and will get credit one day. Kate cringes as he reminds her of their meeting at Poplar Bluff, when she came to dig up dirt on Jordan. She sweetly suggests it would be unwise for him to tell Jordan. Clyde taunts she was lookin out for a frieeeeend is all so his lips are sealed. One cannot have too many frieeeeeeds! With a twinkle and a good to see ya, he is gone. Sultry Kate takes a deep breath ... Sami would rather not play the student to mentor EJ and turns down his offer of help. She gets an unexpected call from Rosemary and exits in a hurry, ignoring him, high fiving returning Kate. Kate is not thrilled to find EJ in the house but he has a dire warning. An IMPOTANT one. He pours himself a drink.. Sonny kisses Will Horton the writer in bed. Will marvels he sure was lucky Zoe came across his blog! Sonny goes silent. Benevolent Ben hands Abigail some jobs listings at the club. The grateful girl thanks him, then sighs all require references. Ben flirts one must showcase one’s talent. It always worked for him … Jordan is standing by the white flowers in the dark park when Rafe runs by. He stops and soap stares. She stares right back. Marlena the emotional healer helps Brady see the light and then sees him to his front door. Brady agrees that Kristen will finally answer for her actions. He will appear in court but that is all! He would rather focus on his father. Marlena is saddened about the prognosis. Brady will not give up hope. However, Kristen will rot in hell before she gets another chance to see him … The cops are ready to book Kristen. She wonders where oh where Brady could be. She tells herself she still has a few tricks up her sinister sleeve … Jordan has something to say to sweaty Rafe in the dark park … Ben shows Abigail how to mix drinks at the club and gets up close and personal. She now informs him she saw his father today … A country twang plays at the town square, where crooked Clyde meets his mountain man flunky. The truck for this run was even bigger, to match the big city. Clyde claims he is forming a new crew for Salem. He alludes to a highly connected contact he will be able to use …. Kate will not be intimidated but EJ wants her to believe he wants to help. She must understand the risks here. Samantha does not seem to get it! … Sami is now in her red dress, meeting editor Zoe at the town square with stars in her eyes. She is excited about the interview and wants to start with her successful career. Zoe explains there is no interview. The article about Sami is already a done deal … Will and Sonny enjoy their bedtime champagne. Sonny wonders when the article will appear for the public. As soon as a few facts are checked, according to Zoe. They toast to the publication … Zoe seeks Sami’s input and hands her a copy of the article. Surprised Sami starts to read ….
