Stefano phones Chad, who is working from his swanky DiMera study on DiMera business. Stefano has set up a call from the FBI to his son, to discuss one Kevin Reynolds aka BEN. Chad is most grateful. Father phoenix wants to help him get what he wants and grins with glee that it is Abigail Devereaux ... Ben and Abi are at his apartment, where he helps her with her charity work. They end up making love in bed and waiting for the takeout ... At the hospital, Theresa and Madame Milbauer cackle about new man Zander being of interest to Nicole. Theresa considered him hot and a little bit dangerous ... Victor is perplexed by Zander's unexpected presence. The nephew who credits him with saving his life smoothly states he is here not on biz but something that will yield a payoff, plus the usual cut for Victor. The Greek grins about the money laundering he is already doing for him, the fake pharmaceuticals company no one knows about... At Mel's place, Brady apologizes for the postponed surprise trip. He suspects she was not into the surprise. She gets a call from angry Jorge, who wants the plasma back. Mel babbles and lies she has a shift. Brady is sympathetic. They kiss and he saunters off ...At the club, casual family man John complains to Marlena he is not happy about having to accept the charity check from Paul today as Aiden was called outta town. He considers him a sleaze and says so. Marlena remembers the fact that he is probably Paul's father and quietly points out Will should not get a free pass after what he has done. John disagrees but promises to make nice. Marlena excuses herself ... In the hotel room, Paul complains to Tori about the terrible mistake the newspaper made, mixing him up with Will ... Meanwhile Sonny takes a look at Will's article on the tablet about Paul being a DiMera and exclaims OH MY GOD ... Enter the Will. Sonny pretends to be dusting, having put the tablet back. He acts innocent to give Will a chance to come clean, asking him about the mysterious article Zoe came over to get. Will dismisses it as a dull piece he could not substantiate with an interview. It was about school budgets. Sonny gets sarcastic. Will fails to notice he is onto him ... Tori is a nervous wreck and has not touched her food. Paul promises to be back soon after he hands his check to Aiden. Then he is ready to leave. Tori is torn but tells herself it is the right way, once her son is gone ... Sonny points out Marlena dropped by and wanted to give them the name of a therapist. Will gushes he knows things are going to be good for them and is only interested in a therapist if all else fails. He claims to be committed to winning back Sonny's trust. He hopes Paul has left and THEY are already gone. Sonny probes who the other person would be. Will admits he heard Paul's mom was in Salem and lies he never met her. Sonny did and she was less than thrilled to meet him. Will thinks t'was the stress of the scandalous article. Sonny suddenly excuses himself on club business. After a brief kiss, he goes out the door, where he pauses, raising his hands in exasperation that Will is back to his lying ways .. Chad ends his telling call with the FBI agent, amazed at what he has learned. He sends Abigail an innocent text about needing an update on the project application to give himself an excuse to see her ... Paul meets John at the club. John grimaces Aiden had to go out of town so he can hand him the check. Paul hopes he does not have a problem with him ... Anne advises Theresa to give consideration to Dan as a mate in lieu of Brady but Theresa cannot stand that sanctimonious one and his obnoxious daughter ... Mel arrives at Jorge's office and begs the blood bank man not to expose her. She swears she is trying to solve a mystery and accidentally broke the vial containing the sample of Theresa's plasma. He appears ready to report her until trouble comes in ... Theresa - aka trouble - rages at Jorge to fill out his damn form and hisses at Mel as well. Then she storms out. Jorge agrees to give Mel another vial and hopes it will hurt Theresa. Not exactly. She just wants to protect someone she loves ... Victor decides to arrange a family dinner for Zander. Enter Brady. Zander greets him. Brady reacts rudely until he finds out he is the cousin he and Dan played with on the islands, though Zander was gone early. He gives him a suspicious stare ... Paul urges John not to judge him. John quips he knows what he saw. Paul gives an impassioned speech about vultures raising him to heights of glory, only to take him apart when he fell as mere mortals do. He pauses to read his urgent text from Sonny, who must speak with him pronto ... Tori has an unexpected visitor at the room, Marlena and she is NOT amused! She refuses to let her shut the door and suggests she not make a second mistake ... Zander explains to Brady that in business he goes by his mother's maiden name - Cook. He grins he had been a troublemaker in the past, unlike good boys Brady and Dan. The Greek tycoon muses they made some mistakes as well but overcame and he could not be more proud. Brady senses something and it is mirrored in his eyes ... The blood bank guy will get Mel that other vial and better yet, he will analyze it for her so she will have the results soon ... Victor excuses himself to discuss business with Brady. Zander goes on his smiling way and agrees he and Brady should catch up soon. One alone, Brady probes grandfather about his behavior as if Zan was distantly related when in fact he is the son of Victor's brother ... John checks on Will at the apartment to update him that Paul is leaving town tonight. Will tells the tale of him not realizing who Paul was in relation to Sonny when the star seduced him. And Paul said he did not know who Will was in relation to Sonny. John scoffs. Will hopes he is gone for good and complains how he kept trying to reconcile with Sonny. John has no idea what Will is hiding from him ... Paul awaits Sonny at his office, having been let in by the benevolent barista. Here comes Sonny. His ex assumes he has a chance. Sonny states he is still married to Will but there is something he has to say to him ... Tori accuses Marlena of being pushy like Will, who seduced her son. Marlena accuses Tori of hiding the fact that Will has been blackmailing her and that's not all ... Tori admits it is true she lived in Salem long ago and worked for Stefano but would rather forget it. She knew not what he was like. Marlena snaps that is not the whole story ... Victor admits to Brady that Zander once killed a man and he helped have the charge reduced to aggravated assault. Of course the hothead has changed since those days ... Zander is drinking alone at the nightclub. He crushes his glass in a silent rage as he recalls Victor glowing with pride about Brady ... Mel gets her confirmation from Jorge on her phone. She digests the dramatic update that tomorrow she will know, she will know whether a Brady/Theresa baby really existed ...Abigail is in the shower. Ben gets dressed to answer the deliveryman at the door with takeout, only to find himself face to face with Chad, who delivers a dramatic blow. He grins he got an interesting call from the FBI. They are looking for someone by the name of Kevin Reynolds. Ben freezes ... Sonny states it is about Tori's story ... Marlena knows about John and Tori having a relationship. Tori tells her it was not serious but the blonde is not done yet. She accuses her of taking off from Salem and having a baby boy that she named PAUL after the affair ... Paul is perplexed. Sonny announces his mother has not exactly been honest with him. And so it begins ....! THE END! Ahead on Days: JOHN AND PAUL AND A BIG BOMBSHELL! |
