Eve is alone at her apartment when she calls Cole on campus. The confident one assures her he is on it as planned ... Theresa now shows up at Eve's place, pouting about the strange way she feels. Eve stares into space and Theresa teases her sis about what she is up to now ... Cole catches up with ponytail Paige at the student lounge, lamenting he needs help to remember the names of the Chinese dynasties for his test. Sympathetic sweet Paige agrees to help tutor him. Cole acts humble ... JJ is at Horton house and puts down his guitar with a pout. Jen sees her son is stressed. He hopes to get it together for the charity event. Jen assures him Dan will not pose a problem, but JJ updates her on his full confession. Jen is aghast and goes to do damage control. As for JJ,he goes to find his girlfriend on campus ... Dan is at his home with Mel, morose about something.He now wonders what she was doing on his computer searching for plasma in relation to pregnancy. Mel fibs she had to find something for a continuing ed class. Dan now declares how delighted he is that she is doing well with Brady and there are no more secrets. Mel stammers about staying away from Theresa and leaves for the hospital. Outside the door, she tells herself after today, she really will be done with Theresa. After this one thing ... Brady has a waiting visitor at the house of Kiriakis. Tis Nicole, who searches for a pen, only to discover what appears to be a wrapped ring box. Brady calmly enters and Nicole shows him the new article about the drama around Paul. She points out she did not pen this one but it is a hatchet job. Brady suspects Norita is a jerk and says so. Nicole the hopeless romantic now coos about the engagement ring she assumes is inside the gift box. In fact, she is assuming wrong, for tis a pair of earrings for Mel, which billionaire boy intends to match with a surprise trip anywhere in the world her heart desires. Maxine even agreed to give her the day off ... At the club Zander and Serena confer at a table. She tells him to avoid Nicole. He tells her he finds her attractive. She snaps to keep her out of it. Enter Eric and he wonders keep Nicole out of what? Serena smiles and greets her good man. She lies she was referring to a Nicole who was employed by Zan's firm. So ends Eric's suspicion. He meets with Maggie a few steps away, and Zander sarcastically praises his pretty partner-in-crime for her lying technique. Some things never change ... Theresa teases Eve about having to deal with Jen. When she points out Paige and JJ might even have a baby one day, Eve screams to shut up ... Maggie and Eric now leave for the clothing drive at the church. Eric is looking forward to dining with his old friend Zander later. Serena frowns after they vanish from view. Zander being around Eric makes her uneasy. She observes him coldly and suggests they give each other what they want to end their unholy association ... Jen storms over to Dan's place, where she demands to know what his next move will be,now that he knows about JJ! Dan and Jen disagree on all aspects of the secret, especially when Dan discovers Eve and JJ were actually carrying on a tawdry affair, this was no one time thing! He gathers Jen blames only Eve. Jen exclaims Eve is always out to get her and this time did it by getting to JJ. But they must protect JJ and Paige! Dan gets grim about lies making things worse, as Jen well knows. Besides, Paige could be crushed. Jen feels the opposite way. Dan deduces hiding the inconvenient truth was her idea and he does not approve ... Serena glares at Zander and writes down a bank account number he can put her $200,000 on. Then and only then will she give him the diamonds. She does not trust him. The diamond thief wonders why he should trust her. Serena assures him she would not dare double cross him for she knows how dangerous he can be ... Nicole the hopeless romantic is a tad jealous but warns the box does appear to be for an engagement ring. Brady chuckles Mel has no marriage on her mind, they are just happy to be. Nicole wishes the same for herself. So far Dan has not been forthcoming so she is on the verge of moving on. Brady wishes the best for his friend. Nicole has a flashback of Mel telling her about the mystery of Mandrake and Theresa though she tells nothing to Brady,relieved he is no longer with Theresa the trouble making temptress ... Theresa has taken the day off to help at the church drive and drags her stressed sister along, to get her mind off the last lover who still seems to occupy her thoughts ... As ponytail Paige plays the role of the tutor to Cole, he makes a wisecrack about JJ hating him. JJ slides next to him and agrees. Paige is aghast. Cole thanks her for the help and departs. Paige flies at JJ, who suggests she steer clear of the creep. She feels pity for friendless Cole and warns JJ not to tell her what to do, who to be with. JJ grins at his girlfriend's toughness and they share a tender kiss. They agree to meet up after his next class ... Nurse Maxine gives nurse Mel the day off but nurse Mel refuses! She goes looking for the blood bank guy ... Zander darkly declares if Serena dares to double cross him, Eric will be the one to suffer. He then thanks her for the coffay and walks out. Serena seems to get the shivers ... Mel manages to get the blood bank guy to go to her car for a heavy belated birthday gift she got him. Once alone, she finds Theresa's plasma. It is in a labeled test tube ... At the church clothing drive, Maggie and Theresa step away for some cream for Theresa's anti-work rash. Eve holds the jacket she has found in a box. Her flirting with Eric was not fruitful and now she stands alone, clutching the jacket JJ was wearing their first night together. She takes it with her and slips out ... Serena paces her room like a cornered cat. She is anxious about the diamonds she hid, and pale when she opens her door,only to come face to face with Eric, who can see her fear. She gasps there is something about Zander ... When Paige leaves the campus on an errand, Cole steps before JJ and taunts him. He leers he is going to lose Paige to him after she finds out what JJ is really like ... Nicole strolls through the square and stops to call Daniel. She gets voice mail again and decides not to leave a message. She keeps moving ... Dan sees all his missed calls and hears another one. He opens the door but Jen insists they are not done yet ...Nicole and Zander have a sexy bump at the square. She gasps YOU and blushes ... Eve obsesses over the jacket JJ was wearing as she holds it close in her home ... JJ wishes Cole would go bug someone else. No luck ... Brady finds out from Maxine that Mel did not take the day off and is directed to the blood bank. When he arrives, Mel is turned around, having dropped Theresa's plasma into an envelope. He demands to know what she is doing. Mel cringes ... Jen will not stop. She insists Dan tell her what he intends to do. Will he keep the secret or not? They both stop and stare when they realize ponytail Paige is standing at the now open door. They are not sure how much she may have overheard ... THE END! Ahead on Days: Paige finds the jacket. Brady protests. |
