In the dream, Eric steps forward and calls her a bitch for what she did. In reality, Nicole is at her work laptop and woefully shuts it. She calls Eric and anxiously announces they need to talk. She has something to say about Daniel and another matter. Her eyes are filled with worry and guilt ... - At the apartment, Nick announces he has the perfect tough lawyer who is new in town for Gabi. She gets worried about his insistence she use a lawyer. Nick sits her down and states the guys are married, Sonny also has a successful business so they could appear more steady, solid, and substantial at the moment. Gabi gets glum. - Jordan blows off Ben on her phone as she is en route to meet Rafe. He still thinks she is avoiding him. Meanwhile Rafe walks through the park on his phone with FBI Tim, needing a friendly favor. He has emailed his pal a profile and would like something. Perhaps the FBI system will have more luck than his search. He thanks his buddy and ends the call. Jordan emerges from the bushes and he notes her long face. She dares him to tell her what he knows about Ben! Rafe assures her his FBI business was about sister Gabi, however - the creep connected to her. - Suited Brady is at the hospital for the hearing. Anne is chipper. Theresa is a nervous wreck in her red dress. She notes Brady does stand by his friends. Brady is indignant Dan has been unjustly accused and she should understand what that feels like. He reminds her they are on a break. Still she wonders whether there is evidence against Daniel that he took drugs. Brady tells her to worry about herself, tell only the truth, and they will talk once the dust has settled. Then he walks away. Theresa gets upset about being on the radar. Anne implies she was involved and she just loves it. Theresa stammers she was nowhere near Dan and had no access to his place. Anne points out she does have a key. Theresa is terrified that Madame Milbauer remembers. She lies she lost it. Anne insists she will make sure Jonas gets exactly what he deserves. - Jen shows up chez Dan with the news that she cannot attend the hearing to show her support. Anne played hardball with the board and even got Kayla kicked out of the hearing. However, board member Brady will be present. Dan is grateful to have one good guy in his corner. - Liam meets a woman at the park. He has tracked her down to talk Daniel Jonas. He shows her the money. Half, that is. She gets the other half once the job is done ... - Gabi boasts she is a model in college who can support her daughter and is therefore every bit as solid as Sonny and Will.Nick explains Will's rights as a father will be protected. With this tough lawyer, hers will be too. Gabi grumbles about Sami's insult, that she is an unfit mother. That was what made her tell Will to keep Sami away. Then Will countered with the custody agreement. Nick has a bad feeling. So does she. Gabi fears Sami will try and take the baby away. Nick gets a dangerous look in his eye. He calmly suggests he should move far away from Gabi and Ari so as not to cause trouble. Gabi reacts just as he had anticipated. She insists he stay in Salem and asks about the lawyer he found her. Nick notes he has a good reputation and worked wonders for JJ. Gabi gushes Nick is so nice. He grins there is no need to hold onto anger. Gabi now decides if Sami wants to keep the baby away from her, Nick should stop her! In fact, he has her blessing to go after her ... - At the pub, Eric points out to nervous Nicole that there is nothing they can do for Daniel at the moment. She thinks she can help. He wonders whether she knows something more, something that could help him. Nicole lies she has no idea and the talk turns to Theresa. - Pumped Parker chants goodbye to Jennifer as Dan kisses her at the door. They exchange I love yous and she goes. Dan tickles his giggling little man and wants him to get ready for his shoes. They both have a big day today. Parker prances into his room. Suited Dan sighs.While waiting at the elevator, Jen gets a call from Liam's lady at the park. She claims to have news on Daniel Jonas! - Liam's plant soon meets Jen at Horton house. Jen demands to know who put her up to this. Anne or Theresa? The lady insists she only wants to do the right thing ... - Rafe sits Jordan down, updating her on Nick being on his enemy list. He laments his sister is starting to trust the loon again. He vows to protect her. FBI Tim calls with an update. Rafe is dismayed there is no record and thanks him. He gets back to his lady love and announces he has to postpone their date. She understands and apologizes for earlier. He gets she wants to protect her brother, kisses her, and saunters off. Jordan thinks he should go easy on Gabi. Rafe drawls he will but ONLY on Gabi! - Gabi gushes she does not think it would actually come to Nick having to go after Sami, but if it came to that, so be it. Nick marvels what a team they are. Gabi now gets a text from brother Rafe, who is on his way. Nick decides to split. Gabi kisses him and hopes he will meet the new lawyer with her. These days he is the only person she trusts. Nick grins, then exits. At the door he gets a strange look in his eye, then heads on his next mission ... - Nicole wants to say something. Eric interrupts, assuming she wants to burst forth to help her friend any way possible, and adds he does not want her to put herself at risk or get hurt. There has to be another way. Nicole woefully agrees. - Suited solemn Dan arrives at the hospital and heads to the hearing with Brady and Anne. Theresa flashes back to giving Liam the key to his pad and panics. She has to talk to somebody stat! - Eric confesses he is feeling somewhat selfish as he wants to spend the rest of his life with a safe and sound Nicole ... Ring ring! Tis Theresa and her conscience calling. He suspects she might be ready to confess, calls Nicole amazing, kisses her, and goes. - Brady convenes the hearing, which will ultimately determine Dr. Daniel Jonas' future at the hospital ... - Liam's lady proves to Jen that she works for a cleaning service. She worked at Dan's place one time and saw something. Jen impatiently asks what. She sees things she does not repeat but when she discovered Dr. Jonas had been doing drugs and operating, she realized she had to tell someone what and where she saw something! Jen blinks. - Back in her office, Nicole wonders how to get Chyka's letter away from Liam. There has to be a way and then she will be able to expose him for drugging Dan! She begins with a search of his address and ends up with much more than she bargained for ... - Eric meets Theresa at the park. She stammers she needs his help. - Nick saunters into the club and stares down Sonny, who sighs and ask what he can get him. Ginger ale. Dangerous music plays. Nick notes he was just with Gabi, who informed him of Will's wish for a custody agreement. He calls it a great idea and grins he is sure the three of them will work it out. Sonny gets sarcastic and warns him no one else buys his benevolent act, certainly not him and Will! - Jordan is with Ben at the park and he hopes there are no problems between her and Rafe. She claims there are none. He cannot believe she actually got involved with a cop as that is the worst thing someone in her situation could have done! She knows it. - Alone with Gabi, Rafe suspiciously seeks the name of the company Nick supposedly worked at while in New York. Gabi knows not and makes a strange strained face when he finds it odd that Nick did not contact her once while he was gone. Not even once?! She replies she was surprised like the rest of Salem when he reappeared. Rafe asks if he liked New York. No and then he came back. Rafe sits and thinks that too is odd. A young guy in a big city like that not having fun? Gabi wants to know what he is getting at. Rafe drawls his FBI contact ran a search and there is no evidence that Nick was even in New York so where might he have been all that time? Gabi flashes back to hitting him on the head with a rock that fateful night at the river and diverts her gaze. Rafe stares, sensing a major secret. And he is now so close he can almost taste it ... - Nick asks what Sonny's point is unless he himself does not even know. Sonny dismisses him with a wave of the hand. Nick taunts he got him all excited about hearing a Kiriakis style threat. However, he has indeed changed and does not give a damn whether he believes him or not. Sonny meets his stare with a cold one. He is a Kiriakis, after all, and would win any stare down. - Gabi screams about Rafe investigating Nick. He is the one trying to keep her out of trouble. Rafe is baffled. - Jordan stands by the town gate and informs her brother she was never intimate with a patient before but with Rafe, she felt a pull. She tried to fight the feeling but he felt the same way and saw it in her eyes. One cannot help who one ... Loves? questions Ben, They hug. But he remains stressed and Jordan gets stressed too. With Rafe's resources, in the blink of an eye it could all be over! - In the closed hospital hearing, HR Anne haughtily hands out printouts and argues Daniel was previously implicated in a drug fiasco. The young woman, who is now a hospital employee, almost died while she was in his company. Brady scowls that is not admissible, as he passed that drug test. In fact, given there have been no previous problems, he is not ruling out that this time, someone purposely put drugs in his system. Dan nods in approval. Brady declares there is no further evidence so they will take a recess and return with a decision, based only on what they have and know ... - Nicole reads Liam is unable to keep a job for long and wonders who to ask about him. An ex employee? She now finds something even better. An ex wife! - Eric refers to ugly things happening to him too and demands Theresa come clean. Like Dan and Jen, he suspects she was involved in Dan's drugging. He presses her to confess. She refuses, claiming it was the doing of someone else, so she will not be blamed! She storms off in her red dress. - Jen solemnly enters Dan's empty apartment and has a look around. - Rafe is blunt. He asks Gabi what Nick has on her. Is this like the Melanie mischief? Gabi sighs it is worse and others are involved. Like who? Like the ones who are begging him to back off. She implores him to let it go. Things will be fine. She admits she and others could be imprisoned for something that no longer matters. Rafe desperately seeks to understand. She exclaims to let it go. Rafe stares at her and sighs okay even though it goes against his judgment. However, if Nick hurts her, he will make him pay! Gabi hugs him in gratitude. Exit Rafe, slamming the door behind himself. - Nick boasts he only cares what Gabi thinks of him and she liiiikes what she sees. He leers this may rain on Sonny's parade but they are together! He walks off. Sonny stares darkly. - Nicole calls Deborah, Liam's ex wife, who snaps she wants nothing to do with the crazy bastard. Click! Nicole smells a story. A scandalous one. - Liam the loon meets the cleaning leady flunky in the back seat. He has a ticket to Texas and the rest of her money, assuming she completed the job. She confirms when Jen goes to Dan's place, she will surely find what he wants her to find ... - Back at the hospital, Brady reconvenes the meeting and points out there is no proof Dr. Dan knowingly ingested the drugs. The investigation can continue. As per hospital regulations, Daniel will be off surgery and will have random drug tests until a later date. Meanwhile his non-surgical duties may resume. - Jen heads for the cupboard as instructed by the corrupt cleaning lady, and takes out a jar with the word JOY written on it. Inside, she finds the pills planted by Liam, with the name Jennifer Horton written on the bottle prescription that was supposedly filled by Dr. Daniel Jonas. Jen gasps in shock.
