Emotions run high at the club. Will and Sonny watch as the drama unfolds. Marlena stands by her man in silence. John is flabbergasted. Paul demands the whole truth from Tori, who gasps it is true, his real father is John! John places his hand on his heart. Tori accuses Marlena and Will of doing this and hurting Paul in the process ... Tori now soap faints in her son's arms ... Detective Hope has been summoned to the tulips at the park to meet a hot lead. When the hot lead makes the mistake of trying to spook her, she springs into action and twists his arm. Aiden groans. T'was supposed to be his surprise. Hope is sorry and the lovers end up kissing. Now it is off to the nightclub as the hotel rooms in town are booked solid. Hope updates him on all the latest Salem happenings, as he was out of town ... At the town square Clyde tells Ben not to trust Chad and alludes to the DiMera heir being after Abigail. Ben is not bothered by it. And he believes Clyde when he claims he can make his checkered past go away ... Abi mocks Chad at the mansion, enjoying the sushi and champagne she assumes he intended for her. Elegant Chad is amused and plays along. Enter Zoe the real dinner date. Abigail excuses herself in an embarrassed hurry. Chad is even more amused ... Tori comes to. John tries to help. But Paul wants them to be left alone and asks Sonny for the use of his office. Sonny obliges and offers to bring food and water to make her well. They disappear from view. John shakes his head, wondering what doc knows. Did she know that Paul was his son? Meanwhile Will accuses Sonny of setting him up. Sonny snaps he knows all about Will's lies ...In Sonny's office Tori is filled with sorrow that her son dishonored her in the presence of those people. Sonny soon follows with food and drink. Tori tells him she wishes he had never been in her son's life, given the painful place it has led them ... Marlena admits she was aware that Tori was Paul's mother and was also Tori Simpson but she denied he was the daddy. T'was not her place to spill the secret ... Paul patiently informs his mother that he was the one who wanted this meeting to take place, to stop all the secrecy ... Marlena advises John to speak with Tori. John seethes about Stefano but she repeats to speak with Tori - and Paul. The former pawn sighs his son already hates him ... Will accuses Sonny of snooping through the deleted files on his tablet. Sonny accuses him of lying his head off. He left him no choice. Will rages he wanted to be rid of Paul cos he was after Sonny ... Paul pauses and asks his mother if his father really is John Black... Marlena points out Paul does not know John yet, it is never too late. John refers to their run-in, his bad first impression on the ball player who seemed to be playing Sonny. Marlena suspects Will spun the story of Paul to him and says so ... Sonny is exasperated Will was so worried, since he evidently thinks so little of the strength of their marriage. Immature Will replies Paul has a way of convincing people. Sonny scoffs ... Paul starts to walk out with tired Tori. John begs then to wait, anxious for the answer he wants to hear again. Paul emotionally exclaims he IS his father. But Paul still plans to leave Salem with mother Tori tonight. John's eyes are filled with anguish. Sonny implores Paul and Tori not to leave things this way. Mad Will mutters to let them go. Marlena feels John is owed an explanation. Paul gets defensive, wanting to protect his mother, whom he assumes was poorly treated by his papa in the past. Tori sighs and tells her story. She said John was dead for that was how it felt when she returned to Salem to tell him, only to see he had become a priest. A flashback appears of Father John in a highly charged moment with God ... Hope is unpleasantly surprised when Clyde slithers up to Aiden, seeking an attorney to help his boy with trouble. She hopes it is not Chad. Clyde grins it is not and Aiden tells him to talk to his assistant to set up an appointment for tomorrow. Clyde thanks him and exits. Hope has her doubts about Clyde. She and Aiden agree to disagree and share a romantic kiss ... Abigail is back at Ben's place with takeout and ice cream. She confesses she already ate at Chad's, as she had gone to confront him, only to realize he wanted to romance the Zoe and not her. Ben finds that funny. They enjoy their ice cream and melt in each others' arms. Ben feels the future looks bright and he happens to like this name. Ben Weston, son of Clyde. They make love under the sheets ... Chad wines and dines Zoe before dropping a bombshell. He is the new boss as DiMera Enterprises has acquired SONIX. He promises to put her in charge of all her scandalous stories except for a few ... suggestions. They share a champagne toast and the son of Stefano smiles slyly ... Choked up John wishes Tori had told him she was pregnant with his child. Paul wishes he would leave his mother alone already. John is unable to stop the pair from walking away, presumably to prepare for their flight out of Salem. Marlena softly suggests he give them time. Sonny follows them out and is sorry. He sticks up for John as a great guy, who may have made the wrong impression by being overly protective of him and Will. Paul and Tori slowly walk away. John emerges and watches heartbroken as the son he never knew vanishes from view. Sonny sighs he is sorry, he was unable to stop them ... Inside Marlena blasts Will for making Paul sound so sordid to John. The son of Sami has no regrets. John and Sonny come back inside. Will gets a text from the sitter and states it is time to go home ... John asks that no one repeat what they heard here today for he must first find a way to tell Belle and Brady about their new brother ... All agree. Marlena and John solemnly step out. Sonny snaps he is not going anywhere with Will right now ... Back in their hotel room. Tori tells Paul how sorry she is. He realizes she did what she felt was right for him. Grandfather calls from Japan ...John stares out at the dark park, doc at his side, and sighs he always admired Paul's pitching career. He always felt he was special, as though on some level he could feel he was his son. He now turns and tragically asks Marlena whether she would have told him ... Clyde gets fed up with his flunky calling from Poplar Bluff. He is too busy in Salem, with bigger fish to fry and wants that certain someone to learn something in a very big way ... Will claims the discovery of the photo that told the Tori story was not his fault. Without him, no one would even know John had another son. Sonny gets mad he is making everything about himself. Nothing, it seems has changed ... Marlena points out it was not her place to tell John what Tori had denied to her. John's eyes flicker. He is torn he never would have learned the truth from anyone if he had not been coincidentally at the club tonight. The blonde decides to give the man she loves some much needed space to do some soul searching ... Grandfather in Japan feels it has been too long. Paul feels the same way. He is sorry for the bad publicity. Grandfather only cares about his family and he believes in Paul. Paul respectfully thanks him and looks forward to seeing him soon. After the call, Tori tenderly tells her son to consider staying for John's sake ... Will admits he has made mistakes. Sonny explodes and lists them all, including his tawdry affair. Will wants to make things right. Sonny holds him at bay and blasts him for the endless excuses. His words cannot make the hurt go away ... Will woefully walks out of the club. He stands alone and dramatically declares he is not going to lose ... THE END! Kristen has Brady and Theresa's baby! Meanwhile Theresa acts like a baby! John wants space from the woman he loves. |
