Friday, April 1, 2016 Episode 12,816 Length: 1,100 descriptive words Beware of copycats. These are my words. There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Kayla wonders what Steve is up to. Steve has an apron on, chili and cornbread waiting, as well as beer and fun for sweetness tonight. She realizes this could be their last night together but he refuses to be downtrodden. He enjoys a beer with his woman, whom he calls the most beautiful woman in the world ... Stressed Summer tosses and turns, then tells herself she probably blew things with Maggie ... Theresa worries about Brady as he seems to have suffered some kind of anxiety attack. He feels it is his heart so she rushes him to the hospital ... Kate has been summoned to the Kiriakis mansion, where Deimos grandly pours the bubbly and boasts he now owns all that used to be Victor's, from his business and investments to his house. Kate has her doubts and pries the whole sordid story out of him. He explains he exploited Victor's typically Greek Achilles heel, aka his love for Maggie. He made him choose love over wealth and power. Kate coos and how did he do that? He quips he poisoned her and blackmailed his brother with the antidote. Kate pauses and purses her lips ... Victor is at sleeping Maggie's bedside in the hospital. He growls he will make Deimos pay dearly for what he has done. Dr Fynn appears to remind him they will operate in the morning. Victor wants to know whether she will ever walk again. Fynn replies the MRI is diagnostic in nature so it is too hard to say - until they go in and see if the nerve damage is repairable. He assures the angry Greek that everyone loves and is rooting for wonderful Maggie. Victor sighs he should see her dance ... Kayla worries about tomorrow. Steve tenderly tells her he has all he needs, his sweetness and their children, no matter where he is. Forget what that crazy woman did ... Theresa arrives at the hospital with Brady, who is soon shirtless in a hospital bed. Fynn notes the tests showed nothing wrong with his heart. They are relieved and Brady admits the anxiety came before the heart feeling aflutter. Fynn realizes he is unaware of what happened to Maggie and updates him. Brady gets dressed and takes off to see her, telling Theresa to call Summer and summon her to hospital. Therese hesitates but Brady reasons she is her daughter ... Summer is strolling through the square when she gets the call. She thanks Theresa and is on her way ... Kate recalls how she once tried to poison a woman she loathed to get her away from Lucas (Chloe!) She digs deeper into her repertoire of darkness and pulls out her past with Stefano, who blackmailed her into marriage and just about made her his slave. All the while Victor laughed at her situation and did nothing. She now slinks over to Deimos and gives him a passionate kiss. She is all for his power play ... Brady is horrified to hear about Maggie's broken back and paralyzed legs from Victor, who holds himself responsible. Brady tells him he is not to blame. Theresa is sympathetic and suggests he stay with them tonight. He refuses to leave his Maggie's side and requests a scotch and soda. Brady goes to the club to get it. Theresa steps away to call Tate's sitter. Victor quietly promises to make Deimos pay. Summer enters and asks how she is. Victor snarls even more when he finds out who she is. He had her investigated and is well aware of her thieving ways, her time spent in the slammer. She insists she was up front and turned over a new leaf. He rages to get out and go back to the beach where Brady found her. He threatens to have her thrown out so she steps away. Fynn returns as there are a few more tests to run. Victor stands up and states he will be back after he takes care of ... something. His eyes are dark with murderous intent ... Kayla loved the chili and praises Steve for his parenting skills even when they had babies and he seemed like the guy least likely to be so good with babies. He laughs at how she doubted him. She recalls the time he was dressed up like a cowboy when she came home and played that country song. Steve plays the same song again and asks sweetness to dance with him. They romantically slow dance like there is no tomorrow ... Deimos likes the fact that Kate is so unsentimental. She says the same about him. He sends her upstairs to the bedroom of her choice so she goes upstairs with a wicked look in her eye. Deimos gets a bottle of champagne. Victor bursts in and rages he will see him in hell for what he did to his Maggie ... Steve and Kayla hold each other close as they slow dance to the country duet. "When I said I do ..." The song ends and he emotionally says he loves only sweetness. They share a kiss ... Summer is back in Maggie's room and weeps she ruined things. She touches Maggie's hand and begs Maggie to be alright. Theresa peeks in, then decides to give them their privacy ... Cocky Deimos reminds Victor he chose the antidote to save the woman he loved over wealth and he did make good on that antidote. It was more than Deimos got all those years ago when Victor took Helena and his freedom from him. Victor explodes his stupidity is to blame for the fact that Maggie might never walk again. Deimos is stunned by the news ... After the lovin, Kayla comes back into the living room. Steve follows and wonders why she got up. She sighs he was sleeping peacefully but she feels so restless. He states he is at peace. She cries she will always love him and wishes tomorrow would never come. He replies he will survive for all he needs to get by is her love. They share another heartfelt kiss ... Brady is back to see Victor. Theresa tells him that Summer is alone with Maggie at the moment. Summer is overcome when Maggie's eyes fly open and she innocently wonders what happened and where Victor is ... Back at the Kiriakis mansion, Deimos states he is sorry, unlike Victor who never said he was sorry about all those years ago. Victor produces a knife to KILL him and lunges. He presses it against his heart. But before he can do the deed, he staggers back and falls on the couch, clutching his own heart. Deimos stands and soap stares. Victor is down! Tis a tragic scene already seen by clairvoyant Caroline ... THE END! |
