Rolf reveals his orders came from a higher power. Ben sarcastically doubts it was God. As they pull out of the ravine, Ciara suggests he think lower. Much lower. Ben decides to take advantage of being in the back seat together and gets closer, but she stares coolly ahead. - Still miffed about losing her veil, she raises an eyebrow a la Hope. "I just want you to know that once we are back in Salem, I am never speaking to you ever again." - "As you wish," Rolf replies. "We have very little in common anyway, fraulein." Pause. "Unless you like to polka." - He turns onto a familiar road and Ben seems surprised. "Something tells me you are not taking us back to Salem out of the goodness of your twisted heart." - Rolfski nods. "Und something tells me you are riiiiiiiiight!" - When he pulls into what appears to be a cemetery Ciara shudders. Ben places a protective arm around her shivering shoulders. "No way, Rolf, No way am I gonna let you kill us and ruin my love life, not to mention my hero's journey." - The limo comes to a silent stop. - "Good evening." Stefano DiMera bows slightly as his guests step out of the luxury automobile. Ben stares at his face and realizes this is either the real deal or the spitting image of the phoenix. Either way, the situation seems highly suspect as they are meeting in a cemetery. The great and powerful patriarch lights a cigar, sucking in the smoke without mercy. - "Did you do something to make my mother's plane turn around so she would miss my wedding?" Ciara angrily asks. - "There was no wedding anyway," Ben butts in. - The phoenix exhales smoke rings. "She is as fearless and smart as her mother," he nods. "The babies will be magnificent specimens. One can never have enough good heirs." - "Shut up!" Ben thunders. "Or I swear I'll take that cigar and ..." Ciara pulls him back. They are dealing with the most dangerous villain Salem has ever seen. - Stefano applauds. "An Operatic moment for the books. The beauty tames the beast. A travesty we have no music." - "What the hell do you want?" rages Ben. - Undead Stefano smiles. "It is simple. To introduce myself to my son!" STAY TUNED! |
