She suggests playing Marlena to EJ's John. EJ sarcastically wonders whether Tony is comfortable with him as John Black having love scenes with his wife ... Steve tends to Susan as John thanks God. Alas Susan stabbed herself to save her son. Steve asks if Marlena locked them here. There is no cell reception. John growls to get Susan help stat ... He said Marlena sounded scared. Julie quips was cos of the evil. Perilous music plays and the devil gets madder and madder ... Ben and Ciara remember her admitting she felt more than friends. He refused to believe she was too broken to love or be loved. That was when he kissed her for the first time ... Marlena tries to mock her accusers. She scoffs when Belle brings up John. He is undercover. Shawn decides to cuff her and take her to the station. Mardevil leers they will all regret this ... Anna argues the love scene would only be acting. Steve suddenly pounds on the door, which is opened. He carries inside bloodied bedraggled Susan and EJ shouts what has he done to his motha! Steve lies her on the sofa and suggests he call for an ambulance. Tony and Anna are shocked to hear she and John were locked in the crypt. They run off to rescue John. He biked down to the lake and called out to her but heard only his voice. Ciara tells babe she heard him then and the other days too. She knew in her heart of hearts he would reach her. Ben gushes they were blessed and notes he will never give up on her or their baby. They kiss in bliss ... As John drinks water back at DiMera mansion, holding his sore shoulder, he gasps to Tony and Anna that repossessed Marlena threatened to off EJ if Susan did not kill him. Anna and Tony are horrified to hear she stabbed herself instead ... EJ is in sleeping Susan's room at the hospital. Steve arrives with an update from Tripp. The knife missed her organs. EJ thanks God and starts to apologize but Steve stops him. Sue opens her eyes and praises the Lord. She lets them both know that Marlena is the devil. EJ assumes she is referring to the movie but Steve knows better ... Mardevil makes the lights flicker. Shawn faces off with her but she sends him flying across the table. The devil warns of big plans for Julie and Doug too, but Julie snaps not today! - Steve exits to await Kayla. Susan and EJ are grateful. EJ tearfully hears her tale of sacrificing herself so that he could live. He is much moved by his mother's love and demotion. They exchange I love yous and silently give thanks ... Post Thanksgiving meal Ciara and Ben are full. Time for a ginger ale toast. Next year they will celebrate with their angel. He kisses her again ... Kayla and Belle get a relieved embrace from Steve. They are all aware Marlena is the devil again. Belle is shocked to hear John was locked in the crypt with Susan for suspecting her. Kayla deduces that was why she wanted to silence Doug. Steve and Belle both become concerned that John has not arrived at the hospital ... Tony and Anna wish to take John to the hospital. He rages he has to find doc first! Anna gets a call from anxious Belle and assures her John is alright although stubborn. Belle shares that Shawn is taking Marlena to the station. John mutters tis a mistake. Alas Anna has lost the connection ... - Mardevil taunts Julie that she was the one who hit her with the tray and picks up a knife. Julie refuses to let her get to hubby again and dares her to try destroy the power of their love! She holds up her rosary and keeps going. The devil growls to stop. Julie concludes the God of love always wins but Mardevil warns this war will never end ... Susan complains about the devil morphing her into mean Kristen DiMera. EJ assures her she is safe. She vows to keep the devil away from the son she loves with all her heart and he kisses her head, whispering I love you too motha ... Steve admits to Kayla the reality seems way worse than the story but is relieved they are safe. For now ... Anna and Tony arrive at the hospital. They inform Belle that John gave them the slip. He must have gone after Marlena ... John staggers into Horton house, where Julie, Shawn and Doug are together. When he hears Mardevil fled to fulfill her true purpose he gasps oh God ... Beautiful Ciara is feeling fatigued so Ben snuggles and kisses her on the bed until ... The devil knocks twice! But when he opens the door all he sees is well meaning Marlena. STAY BLOODY TUNED!
