Steve reads at the pub with Kayla ... Chad rubs his head as all her loved ones are mentioned. Ding dong! Chad sobs and gets a sorrowful hug from Sonny and Will ... Steve reads Kayla the rest that Jen wrote. Kayla admits Jack asked her to say a few words but she is at a loss ... Tony calls it a terrible tragedy. Anne sighs it makes no sense. EJ is pleased they returned to be with the family and updates them on Chad and children spending time chez John and Marlena, far from the scene of the crime ... Will and Sonny will do whatever Chad needs. They remember how Abigail overcame his DiMera roots and made him a better man, a more confident man. Sonny wonders what they can do today. He has to head home and get a suit on. Sonny offers to drive and so the trio depart together ... Glam Kate checks on Lucas, who accuses her of thinking he did it ... Jen wonders what happened to the heart shaped necklace from Abigail she packed and now cannot find. JJ knows not. Jack ends a call with Gwen and passes on her message it was a beautiful eulogy. JJ rages about the beech and her insincere sincerity which she can put ... - Kate hears how Lucas hunted high and low but located no jewelry. She snaps he still could have stashed it when he was not himself. She brings up his cut hand and hisses she needs to know it was not him so she can assist him. Lucas loudly denies he would have harmed her. Knock knock. Tis Will ...Steve suggests sweetness speak from the heart. She admits she is haunted by the image of the pale girl. Steve tries to console her but she is bothered by the nature of hear death and breaks down. Steve holds her ... JJ thunders Gwen hated Abigail and rages she has no right to give Jack her fake sympathy. Rattled Jack tells his son to stop and steps out for air ... Will greets Lucas and Kate, who gives the guys their space. She will be at the church. Will admits he cannot get over Abigail being offed in her own home. Lucas hyperventilates he has no idea who would have done such a thing and anxiously blinks when smart reporter Will suggests it could have been connected to Sami's abduction ... Jack sits with Steve and Kayla at the pub and updates them on JJ blowing up because of Gwen's call. He would rather discuss who did this to his daughter and asks sleuthing Steve to spill what he knows ... Anna sarcastically suggests to EJ that Abigail could have been attacked by a brunette with an inferiority complex but he claims he was out most of the evening. He came home to the sight of Chad holding his slowly dying wife. Anna feels awful that Chad saw such a thing. Chad walks in and soap stares ... - Will informs curious Lucas on Abigail contacting him just before she met her end. She might have called others. He suggests Sami's real kidnapper killed her for getting too close to the truth ... Steve is sorry he has nothing and Jack shouts he is not doing enough. He begs for anything. Kayla read about the stolen jewelry. Steve states Rafe is trying to track the stuff. However he senses another motive not robbery as the attack was targeted and personal. Jack wonders whyyyyyy anyone would have harmed her. Enter diva Kate and her cat eyes ... Tony consoles Chad with a hug. Anna is next and apologizes if she sounded insensitive. She had not seen him there and asks after the kids. Chad numbly notes they are alright and there is a therapist. Marlena suggested the kids attend to say goodbye and accept their beloved mom is gone ... JJ wishes he had kept his silence instead of upsetting Jack. At least Gwen is in a cell. Jen agrees tis best but it saddens Jack. She tells JJ she still mistrusts Gwen. Alas Jack loves his daughter despite her actions ... Kate whispers she is sorry to Jack and praises the wonderful girl who made Chad so happy. She overheard Steve is investigating. Steve is vague. Kayla talks justice. Kate suggests they celebrate Abigail's life on this day. Suited Jack agrees, sighs and goes ahead for the service ... Lucas leers EJ killed Abigail as per Will, who questions that. After all Abigail was family. Lucas sighs he is right and offers him a ride to the church. Will is going with Sonny and seems surprised when Lucas tells him not to tell Chad his theory today ... - Chad is home to dress for the funeral. EJ offers to have Harold press his suit. Chad turns him down to go and face his worst fear - a return to the bedroom where he lost the love of his life ... Kayla regrets agreeing to make a speech as it is too hard to write. Steve suggests she speak from the heart ... As Jen searches for the necklace from Abigail Jack returns to the living room. JJ apologizes for blasting Gwen. His anger is really about his sister. Father and son hug ... Back at DiMera mansion Tony finds it tragic that Jen had to write her daughta's obituary. Anna wonders how they can continue without her. EJ holds back the tears. Chad enters the last room where he saw his wife alive. He touches her handbag on the bed where she lost her life and the dress. Melancholy music plays ... Kayla now has her words from the heart and thanks Steve for making her see the light. She would rather focus on how much she loved Abigail. She used one of Abigail's favorite poets and reads aloud about never being without the loved one's heart ... Jen has found the necklace from her daughter and cries to Jack. They get going with silent JJ ... Guilt ridden Lucas looks at his bandaged hand and leaves his room ... Will walks hand in hand with Sonny at the square ... Tony and Anna share a silent tragic toast together to remember ... EJ joins Chad in the room and then discretely departs. Chad folds his wife's silk scarf ever so carefully and places it in his breast pocket, carrying it close to his heart. Then he leaves the past behind and shuts the door on their room. STAY TUNED!
