Steve refuses to hear any excuses. Orpheus apologizes and wonders whether the gentlemen will retaliate. Justin refuses to waste his time on he who is already dead to him and storms off ... Sonny stands between babbling sorry Bonnie and angered Alex. Alex laughs and tells her to relax, claiming he was kidding cos he is no necktie killer. Bonnie breathes a sigh of relief. Alex acknowledges Angelica was no angel. He also heard Bonnie makes his dad happy. He teases he can forgive her and gives her a hearty hug ... Rafe confirms the bad guy is deceased and Jada makes the call. Ava is still with Jake trying to put pressure and stop the blood loss. Reliable Rafe helps but Jake is clearly far from consciousness now ... - Alex gives giggly Bonnie a twirl and she admires his abs. Sonny sighs. Suited Justin arrives and Alex gives his pop a bear hug too... Kayla advises Nicole to meet with Marlena in case of PTSD. Now she has an incoming gunshot victim arriving. Nicole emotionally credits Eric with saving her ... Kayla races out to commotion. Ava begs her to save bleeding Jake, who is rushed to surgery. Ava gasps oh God and Rafe tenderly tells her she can count on him ... Back at the Kiriakis mansion the gang enjoy their drinks and Justin hears from Sonny that Alex is staying. He assumes he is having a holiday so Alex suggests he take off the summer to spend time here. He wants to work out with baby bro Sonny, who reminds him he is busy with Titan. Alex suggests he come work with him. Sonny is more than a little surprised ... Steve is suspicious of Orpheus, who claims he wants to work at the pub like second chance Clyde. He could become merely Milo the cook. Steve suggests he apply somewhere far far from Salem cos everyone hates him here. Orpheus sarcastically suggests he go to Seattle to see Steve's kids Stephanie, Joey and Tripp. Steve is about to blow ... Eric is helping Nicole with her crutches when Rafe arrives. He reveals the guy who attacked her was shot dead by Jada. She saved Ava. Eric is relieved there were no more victims. Pause. Rafe must now reveal Jake was shot and has been rushed to surgery. It seems touch and go. Eric excuses himself and Rafe holds Nicole close ... - Jada approaches numb Ava and assures her Jake is in the best hands. Ava admits she has witnessed many shootings but when it happens to a loved one tis too much. She refuses to be weak, however. Jada offers her some water and food for she needs her strength while Jake is in surgery. Ava agrees but now seems strangely calm ... Steve stands up and warns Orpheus not to get close to his kids. Orpheus stands too, states he is staying in Salem and will see him around. Steve looks grim ... Alex would rather not return to the brothers and biz in Arizona. They butt heads unlike him and Sonny. He gushes they can be the Kiriaks brothers working together again and Sonny agrees it sounds good ... Jada runs into Eric and is clearly rattled about shooting a man. Eric suggests she be proud for she saved someone ... Nicole hears that Ava is not taking Jake's shooting well. She cries and kisses Rafe ... Kayla comes out and must tell Ava that Jake's heart stopped. He could not be revived. Ava is in denial. Kayla sadly states he did not survive. The mafia princess is all alone again ... STAY TUNED!
