Xander reels from Bonnie's punch to his gut. Justin suggests his slugger wife calm down. Bonnie warns Xander he needs to pay ... Independent woman Steph confronts Alex for acting like she is his property. He suggests Chad still has feelings for her, hence his concern. He also accuses Chad of taking advantage of the situation with his children ... Maggie believes Xander meant no harm and argues he freed the two women. Sarah, however, is far less forgiving. The redhead suggests she save her marriage. Alas the good doctor cannot condone his actions or turn the other cheek the way the redhead does with Victor ... Justin tells off Xander for his deception. Bonnie is mad he must have laughed at her. Xander gasps he was ashamed. Bonnie now demands to know the identity of the second clown and automatically assumes it was Gwen ... - Jada is sympathetic. Rafe admits he instigated the divorce. As soon as he signs his marriage to Nicole is toast. He pauses with his pen. Jada has been there and wonders why he is hesitating. The commiss admits he feels like a failure ... Maggie compares Sarah's situation to her marriage. Sarah argues Victor never hid what kind of man he was. Maggie uses the L word. Love. She urges her to fight. Sarah sighs for better or worse did not mean kidnapping. She weeps she will always love Xander but the trust has been lost. Maggie believes she needs time to consider and promises to support her. Sarah sighs through her tears of torment ... Leo calls Gwen and Xander careless for their public conversation. She wants to go save him. Leo urges his pal to save herself instead and steer clear of Xander ... Justin and Bonnie know that Gwen made the bogus website and covered for Xander. Justin tells him to get a good lawyer and they storm out ... Alex eventually admits he overstepped and tells Steph tis unfair. Steph reminds him he invited Chad to stay for videogames. He felt for sad Chad at that moment. Steph adds he is still grieving the loss of his wife aka her cousin Abigail and needs the support. Alex suggests she is leading him on without meaning to and lists their activities. Chad might misunderstand her motives. She assures him Chad knows she and Alex are dating and wishes he would respect her more like Chad does. She goes back to skating and states she will be in touch to reschedule their work meeting. Alex sighs ... Jada praises Rafe for being a guy who never gives up on love. He signs the divorce papers and decides he feels better. Time to get some bad guys. Here come Bonnie and Justin with one to add to the list ... - Gwen is desperate to save Xander. Leo insists she save herself instead from his sinking ship ... Xander is surprised when Sarah comes home. She warns him she will not stay. He tells her about Bonnie and Justin going after him. He understands why she spilled his secret and wonders whether she will also tell the Salem P.D. Sarah has not spoken to them. He asks if she will support what Bonnie and Justin say. She explains Bonnie heard everything she said so the police will press her to explain. He wonders wot she will say ... Bonnie is annoyed when Justin, Jada and Rafe reveal proof would be required to accuses Xander of being the original man under the clown mask ... unless someone else steps up to confess .... Leo boasts Bonnie had no idea he was the second clown. Gwen is relieved until he reveals they suspect Gwen of being that clown ... The kids are off having cocoa with a friend at the park. Chad is sitting with smitten Steph and is sorry he made her miss her meeting with Alex. He feels to blame and she wonders whether Alex's accusation got to him. She overheard and tells him Alex was wrong for they are friends. She calls Alex insecure. Chad does not want to cause conflict for the couple. He would not want to share her if they were dating either ... Leo is still scared the clown evidence could lead to him. Ding dong! Tis a very stern and suspicious Rafe and Jada ... Sarah refuses to lie if the cops question her. Xander notes she cannot be made to testify against her husband. About that ... Chad thanks Steph for helping the kids get past the first holiday without their mom. But the holiday is over. She insists they can keep going cos they are only friends. Chad suggests they are more ... - Justin and Bonnie head home and he praises her for her bravery. Now that she knows the truth the clown nightmares can end. He hugs her and she shares her sympathy that his cousin betrayed him. Justin just wants Xander and his accomplices to pay ... Gwen greets Rafe and Jada and asks what she can do for them. Leo jumps up. They are hers to grill Gwen the accessory after the fact as per Bonnie. Leo acts surprised she said Xander was the kidnapper. They asks for any details that could help the case. Gwen denies knowing anything. Rafe alludes to a deal if she gives them the goods on Xander, who will betray her in a heartbeat once he hears the P word. Prison. Leo starts to sweat ... Chad reminds Steph they are family. However he does not want to take advantage of her time. She makes light and he makes her laugh, though her eyes seem sad ... Gwen primly points out she has nothing to say until she speaks to her attorney. Rafe warns her not to take long and Jada wishes her and Leo a nice day. They exit. Leo urges his pal to take the deal. She should not pay the price for Xander's actions ... Back at the Kiriakis mansion Justin updates Maggie on the cops building a case against Xander. She sighs she cares for her son-in-law but wants him to face the music because of Bonnie. She alludes to Sarah reconsidering the state of her marriage.
