Shy Wendy and grinning Johnny discuss being more than a fake couple. They agree their kiss was the real deal ... Alone in his room Li drinks up and tells himself Gabi will get in touch. He now listens to his latest message from Rolf ... Gabi aggressively tells Stefan how she remembered that Rolf confessed to brainwashing him but then injected her and caused her to temporarily forget that. When she wed Li she remembered everything and suggests Stefan could too. Stefan pauses ... Chloe has her doubts. Gabi informs curious Stefan it was Li who made Rolf erase his memories ... Li rages at Rolf over the phone about his late warning, Gabi going after Stefan. Unseen unheard Rolf apologizes. Li rages he wrecked his life and hangs up ... Romantic Johnny invites romantic Wendy for a stroll. She still feels for brother Li, who has lost it all. Johnny accepts she wants to be with him and teases tomorrow he might invite her on a real date. She would love that ... - Happy man Johnny heads home alone ... Brady suggests Eric took Rachel to see the fireworks. Eric appears with a sandwich and insists Rachel is in bed. Kristen hisses she is gone and demands to know what he did. Brady looks rattled ... Nicole and EJ get hot and heavy as raunchy music plays ... Brady suggests Rachel sleepwalked into another bedroom. Kristen goes looking and Brady demands to know where his kid is from Eric. He holds Chloe and claims he would rather stay here with the songbird ... Kristen comes back frantic and wants to call the cops ... Nicole suggests Eric is simply using Sloan. EJ teases she should use HIM. Nicole wants to stop her impulsive streak. He takes it like a gentleman and lets her know he is here. He charmingly hopes she will keep his secret of knowing what Li did to Stefan. Done and she bids him a goodnight as he goes on his gallant way ... Li believes he is to blame for the mess and downs another drink. He learned how to be ruthless from their father. Wendy wonders whether tis true he tried to off Stefan ... - Gabi cannot believe Stefan’s disinterest. He boasts he and Chloe just made love for the first time. Gabi warns Chloe his brain loves her ... Kristen continues to panic and gets a text warning Rachel will only be safe if she does not call the cops. She tries to attack Eric in her despair. He announces he will go look for her and she gets text number two, ordering her to remain at home awaiting instructions or else! Brady insists she stay and heads to the hall with Eric, updating him on the wedding reveal. Eric realizes Kristen could head back to the slammer for what she did. Brady just wants the beech gone and walks him down to the garage ... Johnny agrees to have a drink with da EJ down in the lavish DiMera living room. He suspects Gabi has already arrived in Miami to update Stefan. EJ is concerned Li will inform Rafe of what he knew. Johnny reveals Rafe had to free him and he is now with Wendy ... Li recounts how he did not want Stefan to wake up and get back together with Gabi. Wendy is appalled to hear he pulled the plug ... Gabi argues Chloe and Stefan are not the real deal. Stefan kicks her out as she loudly protests ... - Brady returns to crying Kristen and fake consoles her ... Eric is impressed Sloan got Rachel to fall asleep on her bed. She assumes the babysitting emerg is over. Alas Eric must make an admission ... Gabi bangs on the door and screams to open but Stefan is not listening. She pauses to listen to Li's message ... Stefan suggests room service for he is done with Gabi's story. Chloe notes the girl cares but he claims all that matters is he wants to be with Chloe ... Wendy hears how it was Kristen who plugged Stefan back into life support. li claims he is no killer, however. Alas if Rafe hears what she and Johnny know, he could be in big trouble. She gets stressed he seems to want her to lie. Gabi now calls and vows revenge on Li ... Stefan tries to convince Chloe he wants her not Gabi. She suggests he get his own room and turns away. He sighs so be it ... Gabi warns Li she will get Stefan to love her again and hangs up ... Kristen cries on Brady's duplicitous shoulder as he promises the DiMera diva their daughter is alright ... Sloan is horrified she actually helped Eric abduct Kristen DiMera's daughter ... Nicole considers sending Eric a New Year text but changes her mind ... Johnny assures EJ he will not out him to Rafe or Stefan. EJ is grateful. The talk turns to love interests in the new year and they toast ... Li numbly tells Wendy to leave. He has lost it all. She cries he has her for they are family. Always ... Chloe calmly thanks Stefan for the New Year's Eve. He says it was his best night and kisses her on the lips and forehead. Then he goes and she blinks back the tears. Gabi catches up with him and assumes he has come to his senses. He leers to get outta his way and saunters off with his suitcase.
