All that matters to him is ... Li plays innocent but smart Gabi remembers Rolf saying it was Li's idea. He denies it. She flashes back to Rolf going on to say Li even tried to kill sleeping Stefan. She rages at her guilty groom for trying to murder the love of her life as the guests stare in stunned silence ... Rachel enjoys popcorn and tv with funny Uncle Eric. She believes her parents will get back together after they kiss at midnight ... Gabi is in a state. Rafe offers to take her home. Li argues she is having fake memories. Rafe reveals he was suspicious when Gabi decided to believe anything Rolf said. Li argues why did she not remember before. She flashes back to Rolf tricking and jabbing her from behind to erase her recent memories. She tells the crowd and hisses she remembers everything ... Stefan is sorry for coming on strong. The sultry songbird suggests they have that delicious dessert ... Bride Gabi blasts Li for his dreadful deception and tells him not to touch her. Li wants to go somewhere to discuss. Rafe growls neither Li nor Ms. DiMera are leaving ... Rachel wins at go fish with Eric. She wonders why he is babysitting instead of attending the party. He remembers the real reason he is here and asks her to join him on a secret adventure ... Kristen calls Gabi unstable. Rafe warns her to watch it. She refuses to go so Jada cuffs her as Rafe cuffs protesting Li, whom Gabi now hates the sight of. Brady follows Kristen with glee. Johnny and Wendy look worried. Gabi fights back the tears ... - After they eat Stefan suggests he and Chloe go dancing. But first he pours them each a glass of bubbly. They toast to the new year new beginning ... Gabi takes a deep breath. Wendy approaches and assures her she believes her. Gabi gets her phone back and starts to call Stefan but he does not hear his phone ... Eric gets an unexpected call from Brady, who tells him to stop the plan cos Kristen got arrested ... Li protests being held in a room with Kristen by the cops. Kristen wants a lawyer. Rafe reasons he is doing a preliminary investigation and orders both to write about their association with Rolf. Kristen demands a lawyer. So does Li. Kristen condescendingly suggests Jada get her a drink ... Stefan and Chloe leave without his cell phone. Gabi leaves an urgent message. Meanwhile EJ deduces to Johnny that Gabi does not seem to know everything and there is no need to enlighten her. Johnny scoffs. EJ will leave his fate in his son's hands. Johnny sighs he will not say anything to Stefan. EJ is grateful ... Gabi gets the name of Chloe's hotel from friend Nicole and races to the airport. Johnny will drive her. Nicole worries about Chloe's happiness now ... EJ and Nicole drink champagne at the mansion. Nicole noticed he was not rattled and tells him to fire Li. EJ argues Li's father is chairman of the board. Nicole notes Li tried to murder a DiMera. EJ alludes to complications and she concludes Li has something on him ... Jada is surprised when Rafe admits he did not allow Li and Kristen to call their lawyers ... Stuck at the station together, Kristen warns Li that Rafe will go after him bigtime cos he done Gabi wrong. He just wants to get out and find his runaway bride, who is now his wedded wife (until the annulment says otherwise) ... Johnny and Wendy wonder what Gabi will do when she gets to Miami ... Determined Gabi knocks on Stefan's hotel door but gets no answer ... Back at DiMera mansion Nicole deduces EJ already knew. He did know but did nothing. She wonders why. EJ only heard tonight that li tried to off Stefan. His original interest was to have Stefan's vote so he could remove Gabi from DiMera ... Back at the now empty reception Wendy feels guilty. Johnny is relieved the truth came out without their involvement. She is still rattled about being caught in the middle. She weeps could Li have tried to murder Stefan? Johnny knows not and takes her trembling hand ... - Li complains to Kristen about not taking the call from Rolf, who might have been trying to warn him. She warns him commiss Rafe is fierce when it comes to family ... Rafe explains to Jada he will soon release Kristen and Li so they get a false sense of security while he builds his big case against Li. Brady approaches and Jada informs him the two will be released now. He calls Eric cos the plan is a go ... When festive Chloe and Stefan get back to the room Stefan sees he missed a message from Gabi and grumbles she must have wanted to gloat ... Nicole sips her champagne and teases she always knew EJ was terrible just like her. He points out she is decent deep down. She smiles her other ex husbands would not agree. He notes they do not deserve her. She wonders how long Johnny has known and he sighs he swore him to secrecy. Before long Stefan will know all. She is sorry she told Gabi where to find him and Chloe. EJ muses Miami will have major fireworks ... Outside the Salem Inn Li asks after Gabi when he runs into Johnny and Wendy. His sister coldly states they drove her to the airport so she could go to Stefan in Miami ... Stefan wants to forget about Gabi and suggests he get his own room. Chloe invites him to stay with her tonight. They kiss ... Wendy denounces fallen Li to his face ... Brady gets home with Kristen, who refuses to discuss the situation and goes to check on Rachel. She sarcastically suggests he give out of work sitter Eric a generous tip ... Johnny and Wendy are standing at the square when the countdown begins ... EJ turns on the TV to watch with Nicole. Jada and Rafe are standing outside the pub hoping for a better year ... EJ gives Nicole a New Year kiss on the lips as the fireworks explode in the Salem sky. Johnny finally kisses Wendy. Meanwhile Li weeps alone, still wearing his wedding band, which now seems to mean nothing ... After the lovin Chloe and Stefan snuggle in bed ...
