Towel clad Xander is getting ready for a night out with Gwen, who reminds him they have no money. He suggests they dine and dash at Julie]s Place ... Chloe panics and gasps at unconscious Brady to wake up. He has blood on him in the snow ... Victor grumbles about the low stock and calls out to Maggie. Enter chic Gabi with suited Jake. They have a bold suggestion for Titan CEO ... Brady moans but Chloe says not to move. He knows not how he came to be so bloodied and she wonders whether someone stabbed him... As Xander gets dressed Gwen sighs they would be stealing from Julie by not paying. He doubts Julie would call the cops but Gwen muses the meal is not worth it. They had enough trouble with Trask already. Xander changes his mind and decides to pay for dinner with a new credit card that came in the mail ... Roman and Kate toast to his surprise and she looooves the champagne. She wonders about the occasion. Ro is officially romancing the Kate and escorts her to her seat at their cozy table for two. He gazes and she gazes right back ... At the town square Rafe reveals to Ava that Kristen escaped again by causing the transport van to crash. He suspects an accomplice and eyes Xander when he emerges from the Salem Inn with Gwen ... Victor sarcastically hears Jake and Gabi pitch themselves as the perfect CEO team for Titan. He hisses he would never hire them and would rather replace Phil with another family member ... Brady slurs and Chloe worriedly wonders where oh where Philip went ... - Earthy Roman serves the chowder first. Kate tastes lobster and the perfect paprika that gives it his own personal touch. The Kate is impressed especially with him. He drawls she makes him wanna be a bit better ... Rafe starts to grill Gwen and Xander while Ava anxiously watches. The commissioner orders Xander to accompany him to the station to answer some questions about escaped Kristen. Rafe is after a confession ... Victor refuses to have anyone but a Kiriakis run his company. Gabi gets catty about the contenders. The Greek tycoon boasts about Brady ... Groggy Brady slurs Philip does not deserve Chloe, the blood is not his and passes out. Chloe calls for an ambulance to the riverbank ... Roman impresses Kate with the filet mignon main just the way she likes it. He drawls they ought to update their nearest and dearest about dating again ... Gwen does not want the burger before her and complains to Ava that Xander is not culpable. Now she might lose him not to Kristen's blackmail but to the prison system ... Rafe has Xander in a room at the station. The bloke insists he is innocent and has not worked for Kristen for a long time. Rafe remembers he came to see her recently. Xander wanted answers about Sarah and suggests he mind his own biz. Rafe accuses him of coming to see her with a fake story so he could help set her great escape in motion ... - Medicine woman Kayla is examining Brady in a hospital room. She informs concerned Chloe he is not in acute distress and his vitals are stable. She spies a bump on his head, decides on a CT scan and tells the songbird she does not see injuries. Chloe stares, realizing that is not his blood ... Gabi and Jake smugly state Brady seems happy at DiMera. Victor admits the next Titan CEO might not have Kiriakis blood but he has not forgotten how Gabi planted spyware to destroy Phil and thus Titan ... Kate doubts her and Roman's kids care about their relationships. He sighs they all seem to have opinions. Kate claims she was going to tell Lucas and Phil the next time they met up. Alas at the moment they have not returned her messages. Roman reasons a holiday like Christmas would bring them all together. Kate agrees they can announce their relationship then. They both hope Rex will return from Doctors Without Borders with Sarah on his arm ... Ava suggests Gwen take it easy. Gwen gets testy. Street smart Ava scoffs Rafe has nothing and Xander is innocent so no worries. She believes Rafe was bluffing anyway. Anxious Gwen alludes to something that could come between her and Xander and needs someone to open up to. Ava is all ears ... - Kate is ready for Roman's crème brûlée. She tastes and calls it classic. He gushes like them. He recalls their special romance and suggests they are back in style. She praises the date and they toast again. He grins and thanks her straight from the heart ... Rafe accuses Xander of making up a story and following Kristen to the transfer van. Xander denies it and claims Kristen was the one who told him about Sarah cheating with Rex on their wedding day. He believes Kristen and her accomplice deserve to rot in the slammer ... Guilt-ridden Gwen shares the fact that Kristen sent poor Sarah to an uncharted DiMera island. Ava makes light of the collateral damage in the choices one must make. Gwen worries something will happen to her on the deserted island. Ava suggests she stop sweating over getting what she wanted ... Gabi scoffs they were trying to get rid of Phil but Victor snarls they went after his son. Gabi claims she wanted to prove his incompetence and reminds Victor he fired the prodigal son. The tycoon is still not impressed ... Chloe updates Kayla on Brady's confusion. Kayla is waiting for the lab results on the blood. She probes and Chloe admits she was searching for Phil when she found Brady. Both women fear that might be Phil's blood on Brady. Chloe calls his cell phone and it rings. Brady had Philip's phone! The signs are pointing to something sinister. Brady moans. Chloe tries to question him about having Phil's phone. Kayla now gets the results of the blood test and his blood alcohol was high. Chloe cries he got drunk. It gets even worse. The blood on his clothing was O positive which is not his. Chloe bawls that is Philip's blood type ... Xander stands up, finished with Rafe's empty accusations. His date awaits. Rafe allows him to leave but refuses to remove him from his suspects list. Xander mutters he too would sure like to know how someone benefitted from Kristen's great escape. Rafe wonders ...
