Ava heard he was in jail so Rafe reveals he is out on bail. Ava assumes they are done since Nicole likes good guys now. She will go make sure at Basic Black and convinces cringing Rafe to agree she can join them without EJ ... - Back at the mansion EJ assures Samantha he planned to tell Nicole about them. She is sill smarting EJ reunited with Sami and did not even tell her ... EJ coos Samantha knows he is innocent. Sami giggles but suggests he stop accusing Lucas since he saved her. EJ believes he was a bogus hero. She teases the cops still suspect EJ, who assures her there is no evidence against him. Suited Chad appears and dramatically disagrees ... Ava overhears outside the door as Chloe updates Brady on having to tell Kate that it was Nicole who had a fling on the office table but she did not reveal it was with Rafe. - Rafe calls EJ a pig and argues Nicole deserved better. She blames herself for blowing her marriage with Eric and considers EJ another mistake. Rafe invites her to ring in the New Year with himself and Ava ... Chad shows Sami proof of a bogus payment to Jason Smith that EJ approved. She calls EJ a lying bastard ... Jake promises Gabi going after Titan is still part of the plan and steps away to run an errand ... EJ dramatically denies everything and accuses Kate, who also had access to the account. Sami is furious. He tries to explain he was framed but she tells him goodbye forever. Drums of doom play ... Brady suggests Chloe at least leave early since tis a holiday and heads home.
