Rafe sips coffee at the station and hands Jada Nicole's statement. Jada believes the case is almost closed. Here comes raging Xander who insists his Sarah is innocent ... Jack ends a call, refusing to leave Salem until he knows who offed his Abigail. Knock knock. Tis other daughter Gwen. He heard about her pardon and acts cold. He wonders why she came ... to tell him ... Sonny assures Sarah he always knew she was too sweet to hurt anyone after he hears Rex was her alibi. She worries the cops might not buy it ... Xander angrily announces Sarah has an alibi from Rex so she must be crossed from the list. Jada disagrees ... Bartender Eric believes Chad is over the limit. Chad accuses him of playing God. Eric senses his pain. Chad gets petulant and demands a drink not the cab Eric offers to call ... Jada gets sarcastic about the convenient alibi and argues hypnotized Lucas saw Sarah. She gets even more suspicious when she realizes Rex is Sarah's ex. Xander is not amused. Rafe assures him they will follow up with Rex. Jada will not back down. Xander leaves in a huff. Rafe wishes Jada had not blurted out details of the case ... - Eric calls Sonny to take drunk Chad home. He is on his way ... Paulina calls Abe stubborn concerning his career. Tis his time and he is the most honest man for the people unlike the present governor. Abe waves over old friend Nicole, who sits with her crutches. Paulina appeals to her to reason with the mayor but he wants to hear about Nicole. Abe smiles it seems Eric saved her. Nicole agrees and Paulina talks romantic reconciliation ... Jada has summoned Eric to the station for details of his statement. He asks how she fares. Better than before. She does not deny not being able to forget she killed a man with a soul. He understands and reminds her he is here if she needs to talk. She spills water on a file and curses. Eric asks about Xander and she calls him a jerk. Eric is no fan either for he had an affair with his wife ... Xander is enraged in their room so Sarah realizes it did not go well. The big guy argues it would be impossible for Sarah to be two places at the same time so she reminds him ... Gwen assures Jack she would have served her sentence had it not been dismissed. He believes she did want to atone ... Chad starts to climb over the bar but Sonny stops him. Chad warns him to step aside and swings. Then he misses and falls to the floor ... - Gwen primly greets Commissioner Rafe, who has come to update Jack. When he mentions Rex being Sarah’s possible alibi Jack is thrilled. Gwen worriedly mentions Lucas' memory. Rafe admits they must speak to Rex and then can investigate what Lucas saw since Sarah could not be two places at the same time. Gwen gets extremely uneasy ... Sarah suggests Gwen used a mask of her again cos she got one from Kristen she used before. Xander believes she offed Abigail and set up his beloved Sarah, who also thinks so ... Jada assumes Nicole sleeping with Xander led to Eric's divorce. He admits he was busy elsewhere and not as attentive as he should have been ... Paulina is unpleasantly surprised to hear Nicole wed Rafe and wishes she had spoken to her first ... Jada concludes Eric still loves Nicole, given how he saved her. He admits he would never want to live without Nicole in the world and blames himself for not calling the cops on the guy who ended Jake's life. Jada tries to make him feel better ... Paulina steps away to take a call with opinion poll results on Abe's good name. Nicole recalls to Abe how Rafe overreacted about Eric rescuing her. Abe senses there is still something there ... Jack believes Lucas might have been too boozed up to really remember what he saw. Gwen remembers the Sarah mask she has in her suitcase and tries to act as innocent as possible ... Sonny takes Chad home and much to his dismay Chad gets himself another drink from the bar. Sonny wonders what is the matter. He brings up Sarah and Chad sarcastically states she tried to call him. Sonny updates him on her alibi, the fact that she was with Rex at the time of the crime. Chad notes no one seems to have done it now and drinks up. Sonny is sympathetic. Chad tragically tells him nothing can bring his beloved back. He cries he cannot make his kids feel better. He causes them more sorrow. Sonny cries with him and hugs him. Chad bawls on his shoulder ... - Eric has signed his statement and offers to show Jada the rooms above the pub tomorrow since she needs a more affordable place to stay. She wants to take him to lunch after and he teases she wants a date ... Nicole insists to Abe she is happy with Rafe even though Eric will always be important. Paulina returns with great news about the numbers and they decide to celebrate. Nicole decides to also go out for a romantic dinner - with Rafe ... Xander informs set up Sarah that Statesville does not have great security and suggests they get the mask Gwen must have hidden in her room. She texted him her room number recently. They are on their way ... Chad rests his head on Sonny's shoulder and thanks him for being a friend. Always. Sonny helps him up to take him upstairs. Chad kisses his head ... Jack hopes Sarah will be cleared and tells Rafe it must be a terrible thing to think a daughter could have done such a thing ... Paulina insists to Abe that she could see Eric and Nicole’s incredible chemistry. Tis still there ... Eric accepts Jada’s invitation to lunch.
