He is worried about the court order... Orpheus has a drink with Evan, who says this is goodbye, which means he gets no chance to play grandad ... Gabi blasts flunky Brenda on the phone for not filing the marriage certificate yet. Meanwhile Ava doubts it would be ready by now but EJ calls the clerk ... Rolf shows Kristen sleeping Stefan O. DiMera and she gasps ... Gabi hangs up on her assistant and Li appears. She lies a contract signing has been held up. Li already signed that one and wonders why she lied ... Ava is angry when EJ suggests she lied. He does not deny wanting DiMera for himself ... Stefan could not be brought back to life but Rolf refused to give up ... Shawn refers to the baby as his son and refuses to let Evan have him ... Evan plans to join Zoe and David in New Zealand with his new son and got hired on a houseboat until Chicago. When he has more money he and his little guy will go the rest of the way. He invites his dad to come too but as per Orpheus there is more to do in sleepy Salem ... - Gabi claims she has been off her game. Li knows EJ Is trying to change the balance of power and is aware of her making Jake's widow Ava a lucrative offer. He also seems to suspect Gabi of faking a marriage certificate ... EJ gets his confirmation the marriage certificate was filed. Ava hisses to scram ... Evan is renaming his son Maddox Frears and gets summoned by his lawyer. He leaves to get his little lad ... Shawn argues to Belle that he has been the real father to the baby he loves so he cannot give him to psycho Evan. Belle explains with the pardon his record was wiped clean. She sadly states nothing can be done but he cannot let go. The doorbell rings and Shawn tells the baby how much he loves him. Evan has arrived for his son ... Rolf explains when he had the strong serum ready Gabi had already donated Stefan's heart so here he lies kept alive through artificial means ... Shin suspects Ava had someone to scheme with - someone who could change the paperwork and file it. He demands to know if Ava asked for her help and calls it crazy. Gabi snaps it was not crazy and happened to be her idea ... - EJ apologizes and welcomes Ava to the family. Stefano would not have approved of his behavior as family was everything to the patriarch. Ava can relate and he goes on to invite her to move into the mansion ... Stylish Gabi has shocked Shin with her full admission of how far she went for almost Jake widow Ava. He is impressed that Gabi holds the cards and Ava needs her as much as she needs her ... EJ believes new DiMera Ava deserves better than a place above a garage. She knows there was no love lost between him and Jake but EJ is determined to win her over ... Kristen exclaims Lani will be elated to hear she did not off Stefan after all. Rolf would need a heart for him and he came close before he was tossed in the slammer ... Belle takes a look at Evan's airtight court order. He wants his son now and admits they are sailing away to New Zealand. Shawn lifts up the crying bundle, and hands him over. Then he sits on the sofa and tries not to fall apart. Belle feels for him ... Li is impressed with Gabi's game and wonders why she did not share her plan. She reminds him he is on the board but he totally approves of her doing what it takes to keep DiMera at the top. He gets her to agree to trust him next time ... EJ assures Ava the family can help her heal from her loss. Ava admits it is hard and he gives her his words of wisdom ... Rolf reveals the machines can keep going as long as there is no power failure. Kristen wonders what next. Stefan needs a donor heart and they must have the same blood type but the best would be an identical twin. He exclaims Jake expiring was good luck and tells Kristen he will try his best ... Belle tries to console Shawn, who suddenly snaps she got what she wanted ... Evan takes the baby to the boat but Jan Spears the alive and livid mommy steps out of the shadows ... - Li praises Gabi for her power hungry scheming ways. She loves it when he states he embraces all of her and they kiss. She presses the button to shut the doors and they get physical ... Ava regrets getting weepy. Understanding EJ convinces her to come stay at the mansion. She needs to pack. He will have Harold waiting and she thanks him for his generosity. They hug but her eyes narrow like a cat ... Belle did not want the baby to be taken. Shawn apologizes for accusing her and now blames Jan, whom he believes wound up dead in the water ... Woman in black Jan tells stunned Evan she pulled herself to shore and stowed away on that yacht. She was planning to see her son and acts surprised to see them. Evan eventually lets her hold him and the baby coos. Now he demands him back. Jan refuses and karate kicks the son of Orpheus into the cold water completely unconscious ... Belle has a bad feeking Jan could come back. Shawn only cares that Evan is leaving with the baby ... Jan gushes to her baby they are taking a trip together but one day she will be back to Salem ... After the lovin Li and Gabi get dressed and he gets going, hoping for a repeat soon. Gabi now gets a call from Ava, who complains about EJ who eventually left. He invited her to move into the mansion and she accepted ... EJ makes a chess move and promises the portrait of Stefano the great and powerful he is following his lead.
