Ponytail Ava sarcastically thanks him. He sarcastically apologizes for seeming to flirt for he knows how muuuuuuuch she misses the late Jake ... Sarah stops Xander and shows him the latest news that says Leo did it ... Sloan warns Leo could face obstruction charges for keeping the killer's identity a secret. He counters he could have been protecting someone but she demands a name ... Kayla is surprised that Chad now considers Gwen his wife's killer. He also blasts Jack for believing that girl. She calls the commiss bumbling and throws Ava's old accusations in his face. He counters he was cleared. She declares Leo knows the identity of the true killer and demands immunity. Leo stands up like an anxious schoolboy ... Xander and Gwen discuss the possible scenario that mob connected Ava helped sneak Gwen out of the slammer and Leo helped her get into the DiMera mansion where she offed Abigail. Then Leo stole her jewelry. That means the three creeps were in cahoots ... EJ elegantly glides down the DiMera staircase and pauses outside the door, where he hears Ava and Gwen discussing the cops suspecting Leo. Ava does not think he would have stabbed someone so Gwen counters revenge can make people go to extremes. Ava now asks her point blank whether she was driven by revenge after she helped sneak her out that fateful night. Outside EJ is all ears. Inside Gwen reminds Ava that Leo was arrested. Ava is suspicious still given how much Gwen hated her sis. Gwen claims she cared for her kids. Ava seems to scoff. EJ enters and sarcastically asks Gwen if she feels betta. She stammers an apology and admits her friend Leo is now suspected of offing Abigail. EJ has high praise for his late sister-in-law and hopes the police nail aaaaaall involved ... Sloan says immunity first. Only then will the Leo sing. Rafe refuses and talks trial. Sloan feels he has two flimsy witnesses. Rafe boasts they have Leo's prints from the wine cellar and strongly suggests he start singing ... - Kayla admits when she believed Lawrence Alamain was to blame for Steve's so called death she felt rage and wanted revenge. However, she had to overcome for the sake of her daughter. She reminds Chad his children now need him. Chad notes but Abigail will never come home like Steve did. She urges him to let go ... Stephanie is aghast Steve wants to take out Orpheus and realizes how worried he is. They now discuss Chad and the kids’s suffering after losing Abigail. She wants to go see those kids but Steve tries to send her back to Seattle until he deals with Orpheus. Stephanie telle him she is in town to meet a client who might want to hire her PR firm. Steve smells Orpheus. Stephanie refuses to believe it. Steve sighs there is not enough pepper spray in the world to ward off Orpheus. He brings up Kayla, whom his daughter wants to see before her meeting, and insists on accompanying her also to said meeting ... Chad scoffs when Kayla suggests grief counseling at least for his kids' sake ... Sarah suggests she and Xander speak to the Salem PD ... Back at DiMera mansion Gwen excuses herself and EJ alludes to the fact that she could have done the deed with a little assistance from Ava, whose eyes now narrow ... - As Sarah and a now dressed Xander exit the Salem Inn they run into Gwen carrying a coffee and treat. Xander taunts she seems to have lost bff Leo and gotten away with murder ... Flamboyant Leo agrees to show Rafe what he has after Rafe agrees to show the evidence to Trask. Leo’s lady lawyer agrees. Alas Leo is not allowed to accompany Sloan and the commiss ... Kayla has patched up Chad and suggests once down at the pharmacy for his prescription he also drop in for a chat with Marlena. Chad appreciates it and goes. Here come Steve and Stephanie. Mother happily hugs her darling daughter ... Ava denies all and gets sarcastic. EJ quotes the bard and tells her wot he innocently overheard. He taunts her for her criminal activity and warns he might not be willing to cover this soap sin ... Stephanie approaches Chad and is so sorry about Abigail. They appreciated her flowers. Nearby Kayla wonders why Steve is so intense ... Ava quotes Shakespeare right back. EJ notes she no longer has the Vitali muscle and demands one good reason why he should not tell Rafe what he just heard about her and Gwen ... Sloan comes back to Leo and confirms the item of interest was indeed there. That means Rafe must be closing in on the real killer ... Gwen lies she was locked in Statesville so she could not have committed the crime of Abigail's murder. Sarah snaps she must have been wearing that mask of her again, hence Lucas' so-called sighting.
