Madam Mayor blames EJ's dodgy renos and vows to hold him accountable to the city for all the money lost on this night ... EJ continues to insist Belle is still attracted to him. Theo refuses to let JJ escort him to City Hall. JJ wonders what the problem is. Theo admits he has been avoiding him like the plague and blasts him for becoming a cop again after he shot him - an innocent man! It gets intense. JJ insists he is his friend. Theo berates him for not consulting him before rejoining the Salem PD again. JJ believes his judgment became better but Theo accuses him of escalating just like that fateful night he shot him in the chest. Theo storms off. JJ starts to realize he is right ... - Paulina is worried about Theo staying away so long. He enters before Jada can bring up their intense JJ discussion ... Xander wishes things could be like this foreva. The lights come on. Time to blink back to reality ... EJ realizes stress also hurts Belle's breathing and promises to accept they are done. The lights come back and they both breaths a sigh of relief ... Chad believes he and Cat will soon be able to tell the kids and everyone about their relationship. No more sneaking around. They seal the deal with a kiss ... Sarah is dressed to go to her car to take Victoria home. The great Scot wishes they would stay the night and she agrees as they melt into another dreamy smooch ... - Belle and EJ emerge from the elevator and she decides to head home. He wishes her a goodnight and their eyes lock with longing. Then she says goodnight and walks away. EJ sees a text from Gwen about the electrician being to blame and gets back to reality ... Jada updates Paulina on Theo having misgivings about JJ being on the force. He declares he was right and urges Jada to talk to her detective about racial profiling. Paulina looks shocked. Jada wants to talk but Theo is fatigued and wants to head home. Paulina is right behind him ... JJ is now in his street clothes and sits at Horton square holding his badge.
