Dr. Kayla coughs on the phone with Steph and covers. She is in Marlena's room and Marlena coughs too. John is not present for he is in court. Colorful Belle asks him on the stand to say what kind of father Brady is. John remembers Orpheus and zones out. Then he wonders what they said. Brady blinks ... Roman joins stylish Kate in her room post getting dressed to depart but Ro does not approve ... Chloe comes to see Shawn at work ... about Phillip cos no one heard of him for a year and Kristen is using the belief that Brady might have made him go missing. Brady cannot lose Rachel. She wants Shawn to tell the judge Brady is innocent. Shawn could only say the case was cold. Chloe concludes Kristen will win ... John admits he feels emotional about being asked what kind of dad Brady is. When Kristen was doing time for all her mischief Brady was busy being both mother and father to Rachel. He snaps Brady made certain she never knew her mother stabbed Victor in the chest. He believes Brady is a good parent. Kristen suggests since John's wife went on a several months crime spree he chose to look the other way so he is no good judge of anyone's character ... Roman insists the ISA lab will find out what Orpheus infected the three women with so Kate must wait. She would rather go home with him and return when the hospital has news ... Orpheus asks about the girls. Steve holds a pen to his neck and makes it clear he would not hesitate to off him ... - Kate is upset. Roman tries to hold her and wants her to get help. She refuses to waste time and walks out. He curses and follows ... Orpheus laughs but Steve means biz unless he comes clean about what he did to Kayla ... Coughing Marlena must end a call due to her coughing. She wants to keep busy on this hearing day. Kayla cannot imagine a judge would give a child to Kristen ... Kristen grills John about his standards and brings up Mardevil. Belle argues her mom was not herself. Kristen adds Belle also fell under the spell of the devil. Madam Judge is losing her patience. Kristen wonders why Marlena is not even present so John snaps she could be dying and blasts Kristen for her cruelty ... Reluctant Roman is at the pub with Kate. Chloe comes by and Kate says nice to see her. Chloe asks her to testify she does not believe Brady offed Phillip. Kate remembers knowing her missing son’s whereabouts ... The judge calls a recess and Belle and Brady ask John about Marlena. He must say she was given a biotoxin. They all go to see her but first Kristen asks for a word with Brady. He waits and wonders what her game is ... - Marlena is worried about John's day in court, given the current stress. Kayla complains Steve went straight to Orpheus and she is worried how it will end ... Shawn enters as Steve seems poised to jab Orpheus in the neck. He pulls him off and orders him out. Steve tries to lunge when Orpheus leers to give sweetness a kiss but Shawn stops him again ... Worried Belle comes to mama Marlena and she promises not to go anywhere ... Kristen is sorry about Marlena. Brady is appalled by her courtroom behavior, her twisted tales. He suggests she is like Stefano and she does not deny it. She would do anything to keep her daughter. He scoffs tis only ownership and vows to keep his little girl safe and far from her ... Back at the pub Chloe implores Phil's mother to step up for Brady. Kate agrees to consider. Chloe doubts she will help, makes a comment and goes. Roman decides he will go and tell the judge that Philip is actually alive ... Shawn assures Steve that Orpheus cannot harm anyone while in police custody but Steve knows better ... Brady joins John and Belle at ailing Marlena's bedside. She tells the kids to go back and fight for Rachel so they do just that. John drawls they did good with their kids. Marlena agrees as he holds her hand ... Kate fears the FBI will throw Philip in prison and he is still not mentally well enough. Roman refuses to let Kristen take Rachel from Brady. Brady deserves better. Kate reminds him Philip is her son. He suggests she think hard for he will only say anything about Philip if she agrees ... Chloe and Kristen exchange insults. Chloe is onto her. Kristen returns to the hearing room. Chloe stops Madam judge for a word ... - John hopes he did not ruin Brady's case but hoarse Marlena wants to believe the judge will see through Kristen. She coughs again and assures her worried hubby Kayla is about to hear from the ISA ... Steve catches up with Kayla and admits his Orpheus encounter was a bust. The ISA now calls ... The judge hears the predictable closing arguments from both parties. Roman now enters, announces who he is, and believes what he is about to tell the court is very relevant ... Kate is on a call with unseen unheard Philip. She fibs she is fine and just called to say I love you. Phil is busy with therapy ... Kristen tries to object. Belle would like to hear Roman but the judge has already made up her mind ... Shawn warns Orpheus he would pound him if he could for what he is doing to the three women. Orpheus leers he will not let them live ... Kayla comes back, tells the gang the ISA is having problems and collapses ...Roman informs curious Kate that the judge had already made up her mind to rule in Brady's favor. Brady informs Chloe he got full custody and they hug. Kristen accuses the judge of doing something. Chloe remembers giving her the footage of Kristen attacking her at the office. She now concludes the judge put the child first. Kristen hisses this is not the end and storms off. Brady thanks and hugs both Chloe and Belle. Philip of course has yet to be seen ... STAY TUNED!
