In the DiMera crypt Ava is worried about no news from Steve. Charlie leers Tripp might have been offed but mom still has him ... In Seattle slick Steve enters the Serpent's Den and orders bourbon from a big biker type at the bar. He shows him Tripp's picture and asks where he is ... Alex heard from Maggie that Bonnie went to see Mimi last minute. Justin senses something is off since she never told him ... Bonnie complains to gagged Sue that EJ is taking too long to pay! She demands to be released but clown Xander refuses. He believes DiMera will pay. Bonnie warns when hubby realizes she has gone missing there will be hell to pay! - Charlie questions and cackles whether Steve can be trusted - unlike him ... The big dude does not recognize the guy. Steve holds up the matchbox the kid's kidnapper dropped. Fake Ava demands answers. Big dude claims he cannot talk so Steve grabs him, shoves his face into the bar and makes him sweat while Kayla talks tough ... Anna is appalled to hear Ava abducted Susan. Tony blames EJ. Anna defends him. Tony tells her EJ retaliated by taking Ava's son Tripp ... Tripp is bound and gagged while his bored captor complains there is nothing on TV. Kayla and Steve burst in ... Steve knocks out the goon and Tripp wonders why they are so strangely dressed ... Xander insists he took Susan to the safest place and knew not Bonnie would show up. Ava suggests they look on the bright side. They could ransom Bonnie to Victor Kiriakis. Xander does not want to do anything against good guy Justin. Ava assumes she will get good news about Tripp getting rescued soon and sends Xander back to the crowded shed ... - Back at the Kiriakis mansion Justin seems distracted as Alex gushes about getting to kiss Stephanie. Legal eagle Justin calls Mimi and asks to speak with Bonnie. Alas she never showed up or contacted her daughter ... Bonnie assumes Justin has returned from Arizona. She and Sue psychic banter. Sue wants a sandwich and suggests it would help her get a message to EJ if she was fed. Bonnie believes her prince charming will save the day ... After the call with Mimi, Justin decides to find Maggie, who was sure Bonnie had gone to Chicago ... Outside the shed Xander listens to Bonnie's voice mail from worried Justin wanting her to call back. He feels badly and hopes it ends soon. Then he dons the clown mask again ... Charlie taunts EJ might make Tripp die. Ava makes him stop such talk ... Anna lectures EJ for taking wonderful tender Dr. Tripp. When she uses the s word - sexay - testy Tony wonders why that is relevant. EJ explains to Anna he was evening the stakes. Anna gets sancatomious about him going DiMera but EJ argues being DiMera gives them a lavish lifestyle. Tony insists he let the lad Tripp Johnson go already ... Steve demands the now woken up goon talk. Tripp is given a phone to call his mom and she breathes a sigh of relief when he states he is safe thanks to Steve and Kayla ... Steve closes the door after the cops haul off the goon. They all wonder why EJ ordered Tripp abducted ... Tony suggests EJ set Tripp free and adds Ava must want an end to the drama. Ava suddenly calls EJ about getting Tripp back and his goon getting arrested. She sends him a selfie from her son. EJ demands mama Susan. She demands thirty million dollars now or Susan dies! He agrees to pay only after he can see her in person. Deal or no deal ... Ava offers to give him the location and warns no funny stuff ... Justin updates Alex on Bonnie's text. He learns she was last seen heading to the gardening shed for lanterns. He and Alex get going ... Tripp sensed EJ was waiting for something. Steve and Kayla suspect Ava did something to provoke him ... Back at DiMera mansion Tony and Anna assure EJ he is doing the right thing but he doubts Ava Vitali will go gently into the night ...
