He cockily claims they have unfinished biz ... Cat is sitting with Chad, who got her out of the almost EJ date and lets her know he insisted she have her date with HIM ... Cocky EJ is giving Kayla another chance before he goes to the board. She senses a threat. He wants to be the hospital hero. She refuses to let the DiMeras get their hands on Tom and Alice's noble legacy. He vows to get it regardless ... Johnny argues he has very little corporate experience. Xander calls him the respectable DiMera. Johnny wonders if he simply wants to sock it to EJ and mulls over the idea ... Marlena is a vision in blue when she sees indignant EJ at the nurse's station. She mentions Belle and he insists he cares for her. Marlena is worried cos she knows what can happen to those he cares about. Does he actually love her daughter?? - Sarah comes to see Kayla and asks her to check on little Max whilst she is away. She is shocked to hear Jeffrey Russel will be replacing her at the conference. He acts like a changed man who wants to do betta and wonders whether she spoke to Johnny. They are brunching soon and she will suggest he speak with his father. Not for EJ but for Johnny's sake. EJ remembers staring at his son with the gun. Marlena can see he is rattled ... - Johnny would enjoy sticking it to his dastardly dad and will consider Xander's offer. Xander is going away for the weekend so they can speak again when he returns ... Abe tells Chanel the sad story of Lexie going off a cliff after they lost Isaac whom they had loved as their own for two years. But then God gave them Theo who healed their hearts. Chanel sadly states Johnny does not want fatherhood so she and Johnny will not heal their hearts. Matter of fact they might not even make it ... Cat gets Chad to admit he would not mind a date with her. He wants to save her from EJ. She accepts his offer so on a date they will go ... - Kayla wonders aloud whether she is making the right call. Sarah suggests there are many other buyers than EJ ... EJ hastily excuses himself. Marlena now sees Sarah and wishes her and Xander a great holiday ... Chanel still loves Johnny but how to forgive all the hurt he caused by cancelling the adoption without talking to her. Abe suggests he might regret that. She has a bad feeling cos Johnny changed around the time EJ got shot ooooo ... Chad spies Johnny and wants a word. Cat excuses herself for coffee refills. Chad states his dad misses him but Johnny scoffs. He cannot forgive the father who lied to him and hurt his mother ... - Dr. Jeff catches up with EJ outside and hears that Kayla turned down his offer to buy the hospital. EJ, however, is not giving up yet ... Abe senses Chanel might think Johnny was EJ's shooter. She admits he announced his dad was dead to him and wished he had died. Then there was his long absence that fateful night, not to mention his distant demeanor. Abe suggests she speak with him. She will and is grateful for the advice ... Johnny is lunching at the pub with Marlena, who asks about Chanel. They are speaking at least. Marlena urges him to speak to his father too ... After EJ walks away Dr. Russell gets a call from Xander of Titan fame. He wants to make him an offa. The doc states the trial is owned by the hospital. Xander suggests he keep his number cos he could be in touch with news about that. Then he puts his phone away. Sarah joins him at the square. She is off and good to go. He is surprised to hear Kayla sent Dr. Russell to the conference in her place. Sarah lets it slip that EJ now wants to buy the hospital. She steps away to the pharmacy for a moment so Xander calls Alex with an order. Make a move on the hospital right now!! - Kayla is on a clandestine call with Steve. The mission starts NOW ... Johnny agrees to consider speaking to his dad but no more than that. Marlena suggests therapy and offers to recommend a good fit, for he needs help. He boasts he also needs to make a decision cos Xander wants to hire him. Marlena wonders. Johnny suggests it could be just what he needs to reset his life ... Chanel sees Xander and Sarah at the square and hears they are heading to the lake with Victoria for a family vacay. Chanel seems sad but offers to get them treats to take ... Chad and Cat decide to have a picnic down by the river ... Clandestine Kayla is giving Steve his instructions over the phone. She tells him to turn off the cameras, get the one dose and go ... Johnny thanks Marlena for her support and asks her to text him a therapist. She hugs him just as EJ enters. She offers to stay. Johnny insists he is alright so she goes. EJ greets his son, who stares darkly ... Xander and Sarah are enjoying their Sweet bits treat. She says the lemon seems different and suddenly starts to choke. Cat sees.
