She has a tummy ache which started at the tea party ... Carrie recalls what a rock John was. Flashback to John lifting her up to put the star on the Xmas tree. He always made her smile and kept a star for Marlena too. He was her superman and still is. She holds his hand and he feebly holds hers right back. Marlena marvels at the sight. Tragically it will not last ... Abe arrives and hugs Carrie. He wishes they could have the homecoming ceremony the great John Black deserves. The gals step away so the two friends can have a moment together. Abraham says John must stay for a special reason and remembers his love story with Marlena. John had asked him to be his best man for his wedding to his forever love. Back to the now. Abe hopes they will be able to stand up together for Johnny and Chanel too. Johnny realizes she is referring to EJ and storms off ... Back at the DiMera mansion Rachel sips her drink from mommy, who asks about her bad dream. The little girl blurts out there was a gunshot and it might have been real ... Belle greets Carrie at the hospital and asks after John. Carrie exclaims he squeezed her hand. There is a feeling of optimism in the air ... Marlena dreams of sleeping and a wind blowing in. She feels her love's presence but the wicked wind takes him away. Then she wakes up ... At the square EJ spies Johnny, calls his name and falls with his cane. Johnny doubles back, sees he is alright and turns his back to him ... Kate arrives at the pub. As per the doctor, Phil is improving and could wake up soon. Roman is sorry to say he brought up the gun to Johnny, who denied taking it though he has his doubts ... Kristen probes. Rachel confesses she woke up the night EJ was shot cos she heard shouting. She slipped out of bed and went downstairs, where she witnessed Johnny fighting with his father, a gun in his hand ...
