Steve snaps to be grateful the great ISA hero came to help ... Beautiful Hope gives sleeping beauty Bo a sweet kiss and whispers happy anniversary. She knows he hears her. Flashback to their famous wedding 40 hears ago! If only they could turn back time. Here comes crying Ciara. Hope assures her Shawn is coming. More tears and fears. Hope whispers he is hanging on so they can all let him know how much they love him. Then she snuggles closer to her soulmate ... - Shawn advises Dr. Russell to prepare for action ... Marlena tells Kayla that John stopped off to help get the miracle cure Bo needs. Kayla tells her tis Versavix and it was stolen. She is sorry they did not tell her and sorry it delayed John's return home. Marlena smiles of course he would help Bo. They are as close as brothers. Kayla remembers giving Bo Steve's jacket when they all thought he was gone. The women get emotional about those three heroes - John, Steve and Bo. Kayla marvels how lucky the men always were in their missions. Marlena smiles they must always be optimistic ... Sad Ciara informs Hope that Ben is watching the children at the hotel. Hope asks her to stay with Bo a moment. Ciara sits at her daddy's side and weeps she wishes she could fix him so he could show her kids how to tie a sailor's knot. When times were tough he told his girl to hold onto her necklace if she got lonely. Little Ciara then gave him a ribbon from her hair for when he missed her. Ciara will say the same to her children one day ... - Bo is walking alone at the town square and sees the ribbon from Ciara's hair as well as the Horton plaque. He wonders what is happening ... Julie leaves Hope a Happy Anniversary message. She is wearing white and sends all her love and prayers ... Heroine Hope shows up to give the guys a hand. Tis just in time cos turns out there are two security systems which must be disabled at the same time ... Ciara cries how can she say goodbye ... Bo is bewildered by the empty square. A fallen bouquet of death flowers make him worry ... Hope came to help. She knew not John was here but reasons both their help is needed. Steve readily agrees ... Kayla and Marlena remember how you could always count on Bo. Marlena will be on edge until she hears John is home ... Hope and silent intense John coordinate the cutting of the wires. Steve and Shawn will stay outside as lookouts. Hope and hooded John are ready to rock and roll ... - The meth lab is in full operation when Hope and John sneak in. A bearded guard seems to be snoozing ... Shawn is surprised Hope showed up. Steve believes she might be able to get through to the bad guy. Shawn shares his worst fear about his father. Steve assures him when Bo Brady is involved failure is never an option ... John, Hope and Russell are wearing hazmat outfits as they search the lab. Russell sees what they need but the sleeping goon jumps up and grabs him from behind. Hope races up to knock out the hairy perp ... Meanwhile Ciara confesses to Bo she regrets not living up to her middle name. If only she could turn back time ... Bewildered Bo now sees the pub and enters. Kayla is having chowder with Steve. Bo sits and sees them but they neither see nor hear him. Tis the curse of the dead. He now finds himself locked out as tragic music plays ... Bo's heartrate increases and Ciara cries as the doctor arrives ... John takes on the dude with the knife and punches him down. A fire starts. Hope orders Russell out stat. The pair race back to stunned Steve and Shawn. The smoke and flames are spreading with fury. They got out just in time it seems. Hope and Steve start to go back for John but the place blows up in flames ... - The fire department arrives on scene. They order Steve and the gang to step back. They have found a body ... The lady doctor at the hospital has stabilized Bo for the time being ... Meanwhile John is wheeled out burned but still alive. Russell tells the paramedics he is a doctor. Steve asks if he is burned. Indeed. Hope covers her mouth in horror. Russell regrets the suit did not protect him and marvels this man saved his life. Steve insists they save him in return ... Kayla ends a call and must inform Marlena that there was an explosion. John was hurt and tis bad. Marlena senses the worst scenario is about to befall their timeless love ... - John opens his badly burnt hand. Tis a test tube of versavix. Once again Salem's greatest hero saved the day. He gasps to go save Bo ... Woman in white Julie smiles at Bo and Hope's wedding picture and remembers their love story. Then she begs Doug to help them and prays her noble heart out ... Ciara and Shawn rush in with good news for team Bo. Hope urges Brady to fight cos damn it she is fighting for him ... Elsewhere the hospital is somber. Steve informs Russell the man who attacked him wound up in the morgue. John saved both his life and his life's work. Dr. Russell opens the box Steve gave him and gasps how could he have saved it all? Steve drawls John protected the lifesaving serum with his own body. He sits and cries now John is fighting for his life. I cry too ... - Meanwhile Marlena is holding the hand of the bandaged man she loves and asks Kayla how bad the situation is. She needs to know. Kayla sadly states he inhaled a great deal of smoke and has third degree burns covering thirty percent of his heroic body. Marlena gasps she called the kids. Kayla suggests the chapel but Marlena refuses to leave the side of the man she loves ... Julie wishes Doug a happy anniversary and remembers his wonderful love songs that still play in her mind and in her heart. Until they meet again ... As Ciara and Shawn stand by, Hope assures the lady doctor they are ready. They proceed to pray ... Marlena praises her hero and implores him not to go. Enter Steve. He notes even Stefano DiMera had nothin on the great John Black. Flashbacks of the greatest pawn are shown. A hero, a gentleman, a lover and a fighter.
