Kristen has invited Brady to Rachel's birthday party. He doubts she would want him around with her friends. He summoned Brady here to discuss Xander's bid for the hospital. Brady senses he is on an intelligence gathering mission but Brady is nobody's mole and leaves ... Roman reasons if he was gonna shoot EJ he would have done it a long dang time ago! Kate reminds him how mad he was about what happened to Sami and would support him if he had shot EJ. He notes it was not him. She thanks God and they embrace ... Johnny blames himself for Chanel's unhappiness. Yesterday was Mother’s Day too. He claims he cannot help her so she storms off... and runs into downtrodden Brady outside the pub. They have both seen better days. She tearily tells him Alex threw away Rachel's vase. They agree the time is passing too fast and vow to give her a fun party. He does not want to miss it. She hugs him in gratitude and he hugs her right back ooooo ... - Kate apologizes for suspecting Roman but wonders what he did with the lockbox and why. He swears her to secrecy. That night someone stole his gun and he fears they shot EJ with it ... Johnny asks for a moment with Chanel. He repeats how sorry he is for the adoption. He got a new job and is starting therapy so things will get better. Chanel is shocked to hear he accepted a job from Xander and assumes his father will hit the roof. He already told him. All he cares is about their life and future. He starts to head back to the inn but she tells him to check out and come home. They hug as Paulina smiles at the sweet sight ... Alex continues to read Steph's steamy story outside the bistro. He calls a publishing contact to have a look at the goldmine ... Phil sneaks into Alex's office and looks around.
