Shin does not want to betray the DiMeras so Phil reminds him EJ ignored evidence that could have brought his son's killer to justice. Xander brings up Gabi treating Li badly and Kristen protecting her. They offer him the oversight of all DiMera holdings. He needs his position in writing. They shake on it. He promises to pitch the plan to his associates. Xander will have his driver take him to the jet. Li leaves a very pleased man. Xander wants to celebrate their teamwork but Phil wants to get back to the office. Xander raises his glass to Victor. Team DiMera will not see it coming! - Steph reminds Alex how much he enjoyed working at Titan. She gets a text from Kayla, who needs help with the deck she made and steps away ... Meanwhile morose Joy is waiting for her results with supportive Medicine woman Sarah. She does not need a baby now ... Cat joins Chad at the paper and updates him on Marlena's bad news about John ... Alone again, Marlena looks at John's picture and remembers the moment they reunited at the pier. She had called him Roman and he came out of the fog. He stared at her beautiful face and held her in his arms. She now tells herself their endless love has brought them together countless times and hopes it will happen again ... Xander is surprised to see Alex at the Kiriakis mansion. Alex announces he wants to return to Titan ... Phil spies unhappy Joy at the square and offers her a cookie. He senses she could use a friend. She has another idea and asks if he is hiring at Titan ... Steph arrives at the hospital in time to overhear Medicine woman Sara speaking on the phone about Joy's pregnancy test.
