Paul is with them and they drink to John. We all do ... We now see his handsome picure surrounded by flowers and a statue of the Virgin Mary. Marlena marvels at the endless flowers. Shane arrives outside the church, his voice shaking with emotion as he says how sorry he is. They embrace with real sorrow real tears. She is grateful he could get here. He praises John as the best agent and mourns the loss of his friend. The blonde is grateful he brought him home so she could say goodbye. Here comes sympathetic Andrew and a very sad Paul. Shane greets his almost son-in-law .... Marlena asks Belle where Brady is. He had to pick up Rachel ... Rachel cries to Brady she is bad luck and blames herself for John's death since she dreamed of it. Brady believes John really just visited her in a dream to say goodbye. He will be with them always ... - Tate and anxious Arianna are at the square. She admits she was running around with a guy the other night. Tate warns her to be careful cos look what happened to him ... Kayla cannot believe that Steve decided to shut up shop. Alas he cannot be without his partner. Tis time to go and lay out John's memorabilia for the service. Steve sadly sighs. He has not seen Marlena since that awful day. Kayla and now Roman insist no one blames him. Ro praises him for saving Bo. Kate is still with Phil at the hospital but will meet them at St. Luke's. Roman gets emotional about Salem’s Great John Black ... Paul pauses at the book of condolences with Eric and marvels how many have signed. Carrie and Belle notice some outlandish flowers from Vivian. Belle is relieved Sami is not here and complains how she blasted her for being with EJ. Carrie suggests she had no right to judge given what she did to her! - Tate arrives with anxious Ari, who looks for Will. Brady approaches and Tate asks after Rachel. Alas she is stressed. Tate also asks about Kristen. She decided to do the right thing and stay away from Marlena today ... Brady and Tate approach Marlena after Carrie and Belle hug her. Brady warmly hugs the matriarch as John's picture watches with approval ... Steve soon gets a moment alone with Marlena, who thanks him for bringing all the mementoes. He gets choked up and cries he is sorry. She insists he not blame himself. John lived to save others, it was just who he was. She holds Steve while he weeps ... Paul admires John's state of the art spy stuff on display. Eric remembers he had many missions. Paul wishes he could hear all about them. Andrew smiles he cannot share cos they were classified. But he can say John was badass. Paul is super proud of his hero dad. His best gift ever was finding out he was his father ... Rachel approaches John's picture. Johnny arrives with Chanel and greets her. The little girl spits out a stressed HI and steps away. Chanel and Johnny wonder ... Paulina praises the beautiful arrangements to Marlena, who smiles. Abe is impressed. Julie declares the bright flowers are fitting for John was their bright light. Marlena smiles again though her eyes are filled with deep sorrow ... - Cat arrives alone ... Rachel drops John's Micky Mantle baseball card and gets upset. Brady and Marlena assure her tis alright and he puts it back. Rachel has great memories of John taking her to ball games with hotdogs ... Belle thinks sister Carrie believes she will wind up alone because of EJ. Carrie notes they are no match in heaven. How could it even work? Belle is torn cos John would loathe such a match. Brady quips he knows he would ... Cat sarcastically greets ISA Director Shane and walks past him ... Julie and Paulina admire pics of the Carver twins. Julie admits tis a hard day for her but Marlena needs to know she is surrounded by love. Paulina smiles just like Julie ... Tate catches up with Ari. Rachel is happy to hear this is also her first funeral and is happy to meet the new cousin ... Cat approaches Paulina and Julie, who blames her for Chad's mini skydiving injury. Thank Heaven Jack and Jen have already left! - Roman gives Kayla the pen to sign the condolence book and asks Shane about Kim. The talk turns to Bo and how to eventually tell him. Kayla hopes Shawn will make it soon ... Abe and Paulina wait with Johnny and Chanel, who suspects Abe is especially sad. Abe gets choked up and says he made him a better man. Johnny hastily excuses himself to help set up ... Julie offers her condolences to Tate and thanks him for telling her what really happened to the necklace ... Closeup of John's picture ... Cat approaches Marlena and Kayla to tell Marlena how sorry she is. Marlena thanks her for that and for holding down the fort ... Eric finishes the prayer in his head and says AMEN. Roman stares.
