She talks chowder but he senses she is worried for Johnny and repeats Carrie's suggestion the lad turn himself in ... Rafe joins Gabi, who confirms she did indeed hear Johnny that fateful night. He admitted he had a gun but noted he did not shoot EJ. Rafe knows the lad well and buys his story ... Belle is waiting at the station with Paulina. She hates that they have to have Johnny arrested without evidence ... Back at the square Jada shocks EJ by having Johnny arrested for his own father's attempted murder. He gets cuffed and shocked Chanel comes out of the bakery ... Rafe reveals he already told Jada ... Belle wishes they had been able to forewarn EJ and Johnny. Paulina hates she could not forewarn Chanel as well but they will come under public scrutiny ... Johnny assures Chanel he did not do it. EJ talks tough with Jada and insists Johnny did not shoot him. Paulina is sorry but she must remove Belle from the case cos she and Johnny are family ... Roman alludes to evidence. He blames Rafe Hernandez for blabbing ... Belle is officially off the case and gets upset when Jada arrives with cuffed Johnny. Chanel scurries in, loves Johnny, believes in him and vows to wait. Then he is hauled off. EJ confronts Belle for her betrayal ... Misunderstood Johnny is being booked. Meanwhile Chanel is a wreck and blasts Paulina for she feels betrayed ... Back at the square Belle swears to EJ she knew not Paulina would have Johnny arrested so fast. She had to recuse herself and wishes she could help. EJ insists she rep Johnny after he gets her un-recused ... Rafe wishes Jada had given Johnny some benefit of the doubt. She had to go by the book with the high profile case. Rafe scoffs that was a dumb move. Jada had no choice but he accuses her of putting her ambitions first. She decides the discussion is done and throws his past insecurities in his face ... - Back at Hernandez house, Gabi suggests they wait before updating Will. She gives her girl an envelope from Will with her high school diploma. Mother wants a grad picture for prosperity ... Alas Marlena cannot reach Brady. She needs to warn him that Rachel might be questioned. Roman notes others will be affected. Marlena worries Roman himself could be arrested for hanging onto evidence. She fears for him but by the book Roman reasons he must reveal what he knows ... Paulina and Jada discuss Johnny. Paulina has a feeling he did not do it but by the book ambitious Jada knows they have enough to put Johnny on trial. Paulina is perturbed ... Belle warns EJ not to interfere. He announces he is now convinced Johnny did not shoot him. Belle agrees and hopes they will be able to prove it ... Johnny is escorted back with an officer and Paulina orders the reluctant cop to let Chanel speak to her husband ... - Gabi has taken many pics of Ari and gets one to post. Ari claims she wants to go see Roman at the pub and makes no mention of her big fling with DOUG who also works there. She flounces off. Rafe returns, complaining about the jailing of Johnny. There could be a trial. Gabi worries about that cos she will be summoned and EJ will be out for her blood ... EJ apologizes for talking tough with Belle, who goes to give Marlena an update after they kiss. After she vanishes from view he calls and demands an audience with a certain judge ... Alone in a room with Chanel, Johnny swears he is innocent. Chanel wishes he had confided in her and wonders why he even went to the mansion that fateful night. The young man is a mess and worries he will pay for a crime he did not even commit. She blames mama for betraying them both. The cop comes back and she assures hubby they will overcome. He loves her too and is hauled off ...Belle catches up with EJ, who informs her Johnny is being booked and is sorry for his earlier behavior. She sighs she was removed from the case and cannot help him ... Roman shows up at the station and hands Jada his gun. He tells Madam Mayor and Madam Comiss he has reason to believe it was the same gun that shot EJ ... Tragic music plays as Johnny is led back to his dark cell.
