Tanned suited Justin is stunned Trask changed her mind overnight about their deal ... Lani is surprised when Susan Banks pays her a visit at the station. Paulina suddenly wonders about that and soap stares ... - Justin argues Trask thinking she knows what happened will not fly with a judge. Trask tells him Eli knew and she could make him testify. Justin wonders why so harsh. Cos she was wrong about Lani. Justin asks about the charge ... Kristen warns Lani a cop might not make it in the slammer. Eli opens the door and she jumps up like babbling Susan. Livid Eli knows Kristen ... Jules is loudly crying when dapper Doug drops by to help his dream girl. Julie smiles ... Paulina is aghast. Bev apologizes. Abe suggests sweetheart take a breath and then hears from Bill at the D.A's office. Alas Lani’s deal went south. Trask is on the warpath. Paulina braces herself for battle ... Kristen came to help her friend but by the book Eli wants to arrest the fugitive and proceeds to cuff her, much to Lani's dismay. Justin enters surprised to see Susan, who babbles about her vision. Lani awaits his news. Trask now wants to charge her with murder one with no chance of parole ... Julie worries with Doug and he assures her Jack and Jen are alright alone. He is here for his darling ... Abe and Paulina approach Trask about what they heard. Paulina protests. Abe tells the D.A. she cannot prove premeditation for murder one. Paulina threatens to play hardball. Trask wonders what she can do to stop her so Abe elegantly opens the door to the Ace up their sleeve. Bev ... Doug holds his beloved’s hand. He wants her to lean on him and she hugs the man she loves. They thank God for Justin ... Justin updates Eli et al about Trask painting a picture of Lani taking the law into her own hands. She gasps and he goes to get back to square one. Kristen suggests Lani let her break her out cos Trask will get her to Statesville fast. She tells her to board the van and she will take it from there. Eli is against it and Lani cries Kristen must stop. Kristen takes her hands and states TR had it coming so she should not be punished ... Bev tells Trask about the real TR. The D.A. argues he was indeed a bad man but he became a victim. Paulina interrupts and insists she let her continue. Bev insists Coates boasted of his plan to marry Paulina, kill her and inherit her money. Abe sternly states t'was premeditated murder. Stubborn Trask refuses to change her view so Mayor Abe suggests she could lose her job. Trask calls it a threat so Paulina brings up the court of public opinion. Abe warns the council would want him to demand she resign after hearing how she chose the side of an abuser over his female victims. Trask talks proof. Bev takes out her bruised pictures. Abe tells Trask the ball is in her court ... - Julie coos to Jewels, who is lively and not sleeping. Doug sings to sleep Kentucky babe and Julie chimes in. Tis the perfect duet and the baby falls into a peacful slumber ... Theo suggests Chanel enjoys being the center of attention which would go away after she chose her twin. She argues tis a big decision and it is a big deal. She will have to hurt one twin and keep seeing that hurt twin forever. Theo suavely suggests she reconcile with him instead ... Lani refuses to go on the run and ruin Eli and the kids' lives. She asks Kristen if she is truly free on the run. Eli sudenly sees Justin, exits the room, and he and Lani get the good news they needed. The involuntary manslaughter with minimum time deal is back. Eli and Lani hug in relief ... Julie kisses Doug ... Chanel giggles and Theo assures her he was kidding cos he and Claire are together again. Chanel now gets a text from each twin and decides to ignore it ... Diva Paulina warns the D.A not to dare mess with her family again and sweeps out with Abe. Trask is foiled again ... Lani and Eli thank Justin. He will call after the hearing.
