She marvels her life started when he stole her heart ... Steve blames himself but Kayla reasons John wanted to save Bo. They are so very grateful he did just that ... Ciara and Shawn remember how Bo loved reading and made up the best stories. Ciara wishes he could tell one of his stories to her children. Flashback of Bo telling little Ciara a story. His eyes move. Hope gasps to get the doctor ... Marlena looks at John's file and teases him for all his identities, from the pawn to a suspected Stefano. He triumphed and saved her again and again in the darkest of hours. He is the great love of her life ... Kayla worries about the drug not being tried and tested. She and Steve try to stay upbeat for Bo ... Alas the lady doctor sees no change in Bo but the more they talk to him the better. Hope wonders what he trying to say. Is he returning ... Bo finds himself alone in the empty pub trying to find Kayla. Grown up Zack, who is tending bar, turns around grins to his dad he hasn’t seen her or the others ... - Steve and Kayla join Marlena and John. Steve is sorry about putting him in such a situation. John starts to cough and gasps no ... Steve knows he means no regrets ... A doctor enters in with pain medication. Steve urges his buddy to come put the black back in Black Patch cos he is needed ... Flashback to John and Steve teaming up to open their own PI agency. John suggested they get Bo on board but agreed to give him time. He dubbed them Black Patch ... Ciara hopes the drugs are working. Shawn worries since their father is the first man to get versavix. Hope remembers her hero her rebel. Shawn and Ciara tease one another about also being rebels. Hope wistfully wonders who Zack would have taken after ... - Bo realizes this is not Salem. Zack grins when he mentions having a dream. Bo wants a hug. Alas Zack tells him he should not get too attached for he is not meant to be here. Meanwhile sleeping Bo's rapid eye movements continue ... Steve teases John for the heroics. Kayla notes he needs a statue. Marlena agrees as long as they have the real deal at home. She remembers how wonderful he was with baby Brady and baby Isabella. They felt like home. She smiles the children were his top priority. John mutters always ... Meanwhile Hope senses Bo is slowly coming back. Flashbacks of her endless love with the motorcycle hero who stole her heart. They had then sailed the world. She gushes he gave her the adventure he promised he would and touches his face ... Zack tells Bo the family needs him. Bo misses his little man. Zack smiles he is surrounded by loved ones and by the way Shawn and Caroline send their best. Bo wants to stay a bit. Zack promises he will be waiting when it is his time. Bo questions if it is his time and then sees Hope, Shawn and Ciara waiting. A breeze blows in. His eyes flutter in the hospital bed ... - Marlena remembers more good times. Suddenly the machine goes berserk and her hero gasps for air. Kayla increases the oxygen and races out for the pulmonologist. Marlena tries to calm John. Sadly Steve senses the end is near ... Shawn assures Hope he gave Claire the latest. Hope marvels the man she loves is returning. They have so many memories to make and cherish. Scenes of their great love story. The wind blows again ... John is choking. Kayla gasps the pulmonologist senses the injuries were too severe. As Steve holds crushed Kayla, Marlena refuses to give up. She urges her hero to breathe ... but it is not going well ... Shawn and Hope agree Bo would want them to remember Zack too ... Bo now sees Shawn, Hope and Ciara in his dream. She urges him to wake up. He is tired from the years of fighting to wake up. Perhaps tis his time ... Kayla must tragically tell Marlena that John's damaged lungs will not recover. Steve and Marlena want him to fight. Kayla sadly suggests a priest. Marlena weeps but eventually agrees. Steve and Kayla wait outside. Steve sobs ... Marlena tells the man she loves she loves him so. He gasps I love you too doc. She praises him for his fighting spirit but she does not want him to suffer. If he needs to leave, so be it. He gave her and the children more than a lifetime of love. He will live forever in their hearts and memories. He can rest now. And so he does ... - Hope clasps her hands and gets a strange feeling ... Bo dreams of telling Fancyface tis his time. He refuses to leave Zack, who wants his parents to live their lives. Hope implores him to fight for their family as they have fought for him to wake up. Bo cries he tried. The machine goes haywire and the kids race for the doctor. Hope collapses on his bed and screams to hurry ... Steve sobs to Kayla they must save John. She cries they cannot. He cries his heart out and she cries with him. Marlena is snuggling at her hero's side and more classic moments are shown. The greatest love story ever told. He said only death would part them. Now his soul has gone to the other side ... Bo opens his weary eyes as Hope cries tears of Joy. He gets a kiss from FancyFace. Two love stories graced the screen today.
