Shawn learns Belle wants a legal separation. He assures her Jan will head back to the slammer and then Belle can come home but she thinks not ... Jan argues their kids will be cousins. He denies it and she reasons he was forgiven. She claims she is trying and cries she needs compassion just like him ... Belle scoffs at the notion of her raising Jan's baby with Shawn. Nicole sweeps out, sarcastically leaving them to ... business ... EJ now updates curious Belle on her visit and she asks him to file her signed separation agreement with Shawn. EJ is stunned ... Ciara visits Shawn at the station with baby Bo and updates him on godfather Rafe. He acts hurt and then apologizes. He gets Rafe is a great role model. Ciara gushes Shawn will be a great uncle and he bitterly states he just ruined his marriage and his life ... Ben tells Jan to take care of herself and baby. After he goes she calls Marlena on Shawn's phone and asks her over to the house. Tis a matter of importance. Marlena agrees and excuses herself from the menfolk. John insists on accompanying her. Brady and Eric sip their coffees and Brady calls Eric staying a silver lining. Nicole appears and nervously smiles. Brady spies her ring and she gushes she and Rafe got engaged. Brady stands to hug her as Eric stammers he wishes them happiness. Nicole is grateful and goes on her anxious way. The smitten son of Stefano invites her to stay at the mansion with him for wine and dinner. The beautiful blonde pauses ... Brady has born witness to the Nicole and Eric story and talks chances. Eric is in denial and his brother teases denial is not a sin ... Nicole comes to see Rafe at the office and suddenly suggests they must wed next week ... Ben is home with his beloved and updates her on Jan. She already heard she wanted to babysit Bo and already told Shawn no way. That woman has tried to break up Belle and Shawn for ages and might win this time ... Shawn arrives home and Jan announces she just asked Dr. Evans to be her therapist. Marlena solemnly states she must check her schedule and cannot make any promises. She will be in touch. She suggests Shawn get marriage counseling with Belle so he sighs she wanted a separation. Marlena and John are sadly surprised but Jan is smug as a bug ... Belle graciously thanks EJ for the tempting offer but tis not the right time.
